The 2012 college football season is all revved up as we continue through the year. Here at Bookmaker Sportsbook, we’re here to help you beat the college football lines for the Arizona State Sun Devils and the Colorado Buffaloes, as we take a look at their Thursday night Week 7 clash in the Pac-12.
The battle on the college football betting lines will be hot and heavy on Thursday, October 11th. The Arizona State Sun Devils ( 4-1, 4-1 ATS ) and the Colorado Buffaloes ( 1-4, 1-4 ATS ) are going to be squaring off against each other in a 9:00 ET kickoff from Folsom Field in Boulder, CO. This Week 7 NCAA football clash will be televised on ESPN and Watch ESPN.
Arizona State Sun Devils: -22
Colorado Buffaloes: +22
QB Taylor Kelly is one of the names that you’re going to want to keep a close eye on over the course of the rest of this year and in the future. He is just a sophomore, but he is doing a great job this year and is the big reason why the Sun Devils are 4-1 ATS on the college football betting lines. Kelly has 1,292 passing yards and nine scores, and he also has shown his mobility with 147 yards in five games on the ground.
ASU also deploys a three-headed monster of running backs, and all three of RB DJ Foster, RB Marion Grice, and RB Cameron Marshall are going to be involved quite a bit, and we would expect all three to get at least 6-8 carries. All of them have at least 160 yards, and the three have combined for 11 rushing touchdowns.
To beat the college football gambling lines in this game, the Buffaloes have to be a whole heck of a lot better. They rank #101 in the land offensively and #110 defensively, and that comes against a schedule that has already featured an FCS team in Sacramento State and one of the worst teams in the ranks of the FBS, the Colorado State Rams. It wasn’t an accident that the Fresno State Bulldogs beat the Buffs 69-14 when these clubs locked horns three weeks ago.
For the most part, QB Jordan Webb has just been awful. He has only averaged 6.3 yards per pass attempt and has seven TD passes in five games against four picks. He has just 961 passing yards, and a ground game that doesn’t have any bite whatsoever. Keep an eye on TE Nick Kasa, who is the only man that is averaging over 12 yards per reception this year. The big play is going to have to happen if the Buffaloes are beating the college football wagering lines in this match-up.
Free Pick – The Buffaloes are awful, and it shows each and every week. We would love to take the points, knowing how badly Pac-12 teams have performed on the road this year, especially when they are either just inside of or just outside of the Top 25. However, Arizona State has covered all three games in this series dating back to 2006, and none of those games have really been all that close. If the Sun Devils were able to cover -32 last year, they’ll do it again this year at Folsom Field.
Take the Arizona State Sun Devils -22
