The New York Yankees find themselves with their backs against the wall heading into Tuesday night’s Game 3 ALCS MLB betting match-up with the Detroit Tigers at Bookmaker Sportsbook.

New York Yankees MLB Betting Lines VS Detroit Tigers Baseball Betting Online

Baseball Betting Online:

The Detroit Tigers ( 93-76, -$726 ) will look to take a commanding 3-0 lead in their ALCS match-up with the New York Yankees ( 98-71, $123 ) on Tuesday, October 16th when the teams collide in MLB betting action in Game 3; first pitch from Comerica Park is scheduled to get tossed live on TBS at 8:00 ET.

MLB Betting Lines

New York Yankees: +175 ( Hughes )
Detroit Tigers : -185 ( Verlander )
Total: 7 Under -120

Runs have been incredibly tough for the Yankees to come by in the postseason. This comes as quite troubling considering Manager Joe Girardi’s outfit was one of the best offensive teams in the league over the course of the regular season. Since tallying seven runs on 10 hits in Game 1 of the ALDS versus Baltimore, the Bronx Bombers have combined to tally a grand total of just 13 games the last six times they’ve taken to the diamond, and if not for Raul Ibanez’s late game heroics, NY might have already been eliminated from postseason contention. Also making the offense’s job that much harder has been the loss of team captain Derek Jeter at the top of the order.

The Yankees find themselves in a crucial spot heading into Game 3 of this MLB betting series. Another loss would find them on the cusp of elimination, while a win would get them right back in the series. Looking to build upon his solid effort in the ALDS will be Phil Hughes. He’ll enter this crucial spot 16-13 overall with a 4.14 ERA & 1.26 WHIP. NY stands 16-13 in his 32 overall starts to date, but he’s been at his worst away from Yankee Stadium where he’s 5-9 with a 4.76 ERA & .279 BAA. He’s 5-4 with a 4.22 ERA & .233 BAA versus Detroit all-time, and has been nothing short of dominant in five career Comerica starts going 3-2 with a 2.78 ERA & .193 BAA.

The Detroit Tigers are finally playing like the team many envisioned at the outset of the season. Though Manager Jim Leyland’s outfit has still cost its MLB betting supporters upwards of $700 on the year, that deficit has been cut into in the postseason after going 5-2 and earning upwards of $300 in profit after Anibal Sanchez and Phil Coke combined on a complete game shut-out to allow the Tigers to take the 2-0 lead with them back to Motown on Sunday night. They’ll now look to close the Yankees out at home where they stand undefeated in the postseason ( 2-0, $200 ) and nearly 20-games over .500 ( 50-31 ) for the season ( $379 ).

The Tigers starting pitching has been fantastic throughout the postseason, and most of the accolades are to go to Justin Verlander who tossed his squad to wins in Games 1 and 5 of the ALDS against the Athletics. So far, the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner has thrown 16 innings of one ER ball and sports a fantastic 22:5 K/BB ratio during that stretch. Detroit has won 21 of his 33 overall starts, and he’s gone a dominating 9-2 with a 1.65 ERA & .187 WHIP in his 15 home starts. That said, he checks in just 5-4 with a 3.74 ERA & .272 BAA versus the Yankees through 13 career starts, and he gave up four HRs in his three starts versus them this season.

Free Prediction: The Yankees looked like hot garbage throughout the first two games of this series so much so that the home crowd turned on them raining down boos and heckles from the cheap seats. They have no chance at coming back in this MLB betting odds series… right? Wrong! If the regular season taught us anything, it’s that the Tigers have no idea how take advantage of charitable situations. Every time it grabbed the divisional lead, it gave it right back and then some. It is the team’s “MO” and I expect it to continue here in the second season.

NY has toppled the Tigers six of the L/8 times Verlander threw at them, and it’s 21-7 the L/28 times it played off a loss. On top of that, Hughes has led the Yanks to wins in 18 of his L/24 starts versus AL Central opposition. This club isn’t dead yet!

Football Week 6 Odds – Denver Broncos Vs San Diego Chargers Spread

NFL Odds – Manning and the Broncos Stellar in Second Monday Night Football Appearance

Written by Mike Rose of North Shore Sports, INC

BookMaker Sportsbook

Week 6 of the 2012 NFL betting odds season closes out at Bookmaker Sportsbook on Monday Night Football with a solid AFC West battle between the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers.

Denver Broncos Peyton Manning NFL Betting Online  VS San Diego Chargers NFL Betting Online

NFL Betting Online:

Both the Denver Broncos ( 2-3, 2-3 ATS ) and San Diego Chargers ( 3-2, 3-2 ATS ) will look to bounce back from NFL betting defeats when they collide under the lights of Monday Night Football on October 15th; take this divisional tussle in live on ESPN and Watch ESPN from Qualcomm Stadium in sunny San Diego, CA starting at 8:30 ET.

NFL Betting Lines

Denver Broncos: +1.5
San Diego Chargers: -1.5
Total: 50

Denver might enter Week 6 a sub .500 team, but it’s won a game more than last year’s version did at this point of the season and did so against one of the more hellacious schedules of any team to start the year. The problem so far has been the team’s “MO” of going down big early ultimately forcing QB Peyton Manning to lead the team to a comeback. He almost did it on Monday night in Atlanta back in Week 2, and the conclusion of last week’s game at New England would have been a lot more interesting had RB Willis McGahee not continuously coughed up the pigskin.

Though the Broncos failed to pull out the NFL betting line victory, they still have much to fight for here considering their still perfect in divisional play having already blown out the Raiders. After struggling in his first two games since returning to live action, Manning looks to be in quite the groove now having thrown for 330+ yards and eight TDs in his L/3 games. That bodes extremely well for him and his fantasy backers tonight considering the Chargers weak link on the defensive side of the ball has come in defending the pass; SD’s giving up an average of 260.0 yards per game ( #20 ) at only 6.7 yards per pass ( #9 ), but it’s also surrendered 11 TD passes.

San Diego will return home from its two-game road trip 1-1 SU & ATS after taking advantage of a bevy of Kansas City turnovers to cruise to the 37-20 Week 4 win, but it became the first victim of the New Orleans Saints last week after falling 31-24 on Sunday Night Football. They’ll most definitely be psyched to return home for this one knowing full well the last time it played in front of the hometown faithful, it put forth an absolute stinker in falling to the still undefeated Atlanta Falcons 27-3; a team Denver almost came back to beat in their last Monday Night appearance.

I’m not exactly sure what’s going on in the Chargers backfield right now with Head Coach Norv Turner electing to look Jackie Battle’s way early, but after Ryan Mathews gouged the Saints for 80 yards and a TD on only 12 carries last week, he better get the lion’s share of carries in tonight’s NFL betting Monday night spot considering Denver’s weak link defensively has been in stopping the run. To date, the Broncos are giving up an average of 120.2 YPG ( #20 ) and Mathews has torn their defense apart in the past rushing for a combined 382 yards and three TDs in these division rivals L/3 overall meetings.

Free Pick – These teams split their pair of tussles a year ago with San Diego scoring the 29-24 win and cover as 3.5-point road chalk in the first go round, but Denver went into Qualcomm and snagged the 16-13 outright overtime win as 4.5-point underdogs the second time around. The win was the team’s second in its L/3 trips to SD, and even though the favorite is 7-2-2 ATS in these rivals L/11 confrontations, I side with Manning and the Broncos and expect them to build upon the road team’s recent 4-1-1 ATS win streak.

Though the Chargers currently sit atop the AFC West standings, they’ve really done nothing to impress. Their wins have come against Oakland, Tennessee, and Kansas City – teams with combined 3-11 SU & 4-10 ATS records. SDs defense was scorched by the two powerful passing attacks it already faced, and Manning and company look to finally be on the same page and ready to explode. With San Diego a bankroll bursting 10-17 ATS its L/27 as an NFL betting line home chalk of three-points or less, look for Denver to put forth a statement effort and let the Chargers know a carefree waltz through the division won’t be happening on their watch.

NFL Football Week 6 Predictions – NY Giants Vs 49ers Point Spread

NFL Lines – San Francisco 49ers to get their Revenge on the Giants Sunday

Expect the 49ers to get their revenge on the Giants Sunday on the NFL lines when you log on to Bookmaker Sportsbook. If you want the largest variety of betting options, join the top sportsbook in the world today.

San Francisco 49ers NFL Betting OnlineVS New York Giants NFL Lines

NFL Betting Online:

The San Francisco 49ers ( 4-1, 4-1 ATS ) were one win away from the Super Bowl last year before an NFL odds loss to the eventual champion New York Giants ( 3-2, 2-1-1 ), and the Niners now get a crack at revenge from Candlestick Park in San Francisco, CA on Sunday, October 14th at 4:25 ET on FOX.

This is a much different San Francisco team than the one that lost to New York in the NFC Championship Game, as the 2012 NFL lines edition actually has an offense, and while the Giants also have a great offense, that may not be evident here vs. a San Francisco team that ranks second in the NFL in total defense.

Current Line at Bookmaker:
San Francisco 49ers: -4½
Total: 44½

Quarterback Alex Smith was effective in a game management role last season, but he actually looks like an NFL quarterback this year with some better targets to throw to and the 49ers trusting him to throw more often on the NFL lines. In fact, last week’s 45-3 annihilation of the Buffalo Bills was a historic occasion, as Smith had over 300 passing yards and the team had over 300 rushing yards!

San Francisco set a franchise record with 621 total yards in the contest, moving the team up to seventh in the NFL in total offense at 401.2 yards per game, and through it all, the stout Niners’ defense held the Bills to just 204 yards. This club has the look of a legitimate Super Bowl contender, and keep in mind last week could have easily been a letdown spot vs. a non-conference opponent with this revenge tilt up next.

Instead, the Niners had their letdown game when they lost in Minnesota three weeks ago, and they followed up that clunker by suffocating the New York Jets 34-0, meaning that they have outscored their last two opponents by a combined score of 79-3.

Now the Giants obviously need to be respected, as they have almost always come to play on the road under Coach Tom Coughlin. They are 35-17 against the NFL lines away from home since 2006 while going 36-16 straight up in those games, including an impressive 21-15 straight up ( 25-11 ATS ) as underdogs like they are here!

The Giants are also well balanced offensively when Ahmad Bradshaw runs wild as he did last week, when the Giants overcame an early 14-0 deficit in a 41-27 home win over the Cleveland Browns, as he rushed for 200 yards on 30 carries. The Giants rank second in the NFL in total offense at 429.2 yards per game, but they are not likely to be within sniffing distance of that total here.

That is because the 49ers rank seventh in rushing defense allowing 81.4 yards per game on 3.5 yards per carry, numbers that would be much better if not for the Minnesota game, and they rank second in passing defense while allowing a mere 5.4 yards per pass attempt.

Prediction: The 49ers have all the NFL lines motivation here with revenge in mind, and they now have the offense to exploit an injury-riddled Giants’ team that ranks only 21st in total defense. Look for San Francisco to make yet another statement with a big time home romp of the defending champs!

NFL Monday Night Football Picks – Chargers Vs Raiders Betting Odds

NFL Betting – Points Hard to Come By in Chargers and Raiders Monday Night Clash

Written by Mike Rose of North Shore Sports, INC

BookMaker Sportsbook

Week 1 of the 2012-13 NFL betting season closes out at Bookmaker Sportsbook on Monday night when the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders write another chapter to their historic AFC West rivalry.

Oakland Raiders NFL Betting Online VS San Diego Chargers NFL Betting Online

NFL Betting Online:

The Oakland Raiders ( 0-0, 0-0 ATS ) will be out to avenge the defeat they incurred to the San Diego Chargers ( 0-0, 0-0 ATS ) at the end of last season on Monday, September 10th when the teams collide in the second leg of ESPN’s Monday Night Doubleheader; kickoff-from O.co Coliseum is set for 10:15 ET.

NFL Betting Lines

San Diego Chargers: -1
Oakland Raiders: +1
Total: 47.5

The Chargers have been the sheik pick in the AFC West for close to the last decade, but with them failing to qualify for the playoffs for the second time in as many years last season, it looks as if their window of opportunity is starting to close. Especially with a now healthy Kansas City Chiefs outfit set to take the field and the admittance of Peyton Manning into the division. Still, the Chargers possess one of the better teams in the division, so don’t count them out just yet. As it is, they’re regular season win total has been set at 8.5, and they sit only in back of the Denver Broncos on the NFL betting futures odds ( +155 ) in winning the division.

Last year was quite the nightmare for starting quarterback Philip Rivers. Though he ended up throwing for over 4600 yards and 27 touchdowns, he also tossed a mindboggling 20 interceptions. Gone this year is his deep threat in the form of Vincent Jackson who took his talents to Tampa Bay, and he’s already down a go to receiver after Vincent Brown broke his ankle. Making matters worse is the fact that RB Ryan Mathews will be out for the first couple games after breaking his collar bone in the exhibition season. San Diego managed wins in just three of their eight road clashes both SU & ATS last season.

The ghost of Al Davis looks to be smiling down upon the Raiders franchise, as it continues to make this team the laughing stock of the NFL; and for all sports leagues for that matter. Even though Oakland put forth its first non-losing seasons each of the last two years with Hue Jackson in control, upper management still decided to give him the boot and instead go with a very young and untested Dennis Allen to lead the team into the future – or at least for another year.

Though the Raiders split their 16 played games a short season ago, they still came up with some impressive showings. Notables are the 25-20 outright win as 4.5-point NFL betting underdogs in Week 5, and the 25-20 home win and cover against the Chicago Bears in Week 12. Now with a more in tune Carson Palmer leading the offense’s charge, the Raiders should be able to build upon the 22.4 PPG they averaged a year ago; especially if RB Darren McFadden is able to stay relatively healthy! Unfortunately, the stop unit leaves plenty to be desired as it lost a bunch up front which could lead to opposing QBs shredding them through the air all season long. The Raiders went 3-5 SU & 3-4-1 ATS as a host last season.

NFL Betting Breakdown: There is absolutely no love lost between these franchises, and especially the fans who’ve been caught on YouTube throwing down in the parking lot and stadiums with regularity. Both SD and OAK tallied SU & ATS wins in the season series a year ago, but the 38-26 road win and cover in Week 17 of last season snapped the Chargers three-game losing streak in the recent series – the pointspread win put an end to their five-game slip-up. While we lean to the Chargers slightly in this spot, we’ll instead tout the ‘under’ in this season opener. It had cashed in three of the rivals previous four meetings before easily going ‘over’ the 50-point number in the most recent meeting. Both clubs have their weaknesses up front, so we expect Rivers to keep the chains moving with short to intermediate passes, and for the Raiders to hop on the back of Run DMC all game long thus allowing for the clock to move at a steady pace. Look for the combined score to just crawl ‘under’ the closing number!

Which of these divisional rivals will get the better of one another in Monday’s primetime NFL betting battle? Will it be the visiting Chargers or host Raiders? Will it be high or low scoring? MLB Baseball Betting Lines – Phillies Vs Braves Predictions

MLB Lines – Philadelphia Phillies to Surprise the Atlanta Braves Saturday

Atlanta Braves MLB Predictions VS Philadelphia Phillies MLB Picks

MLB Betting Online:

The Atlanta Braves ( 74-57 ) lead the wild card and they are still in range to win the National League East on the MLB lines, but they may hit a pitfall when they host the Phillies ( 61-69 ) Saturday, September 1st at 4:05 ET from Turner Field in Atlanta, GA in a game televised on FOX.

Cliff Lee ( 3-7 ) of the Phillies is scheduled to take on Atlanta’s Tim Hudson ( 13-4 ), and a glance at the records may make you believe that Hudson has the big MLB lines edge, but that is not the case. Also, while being out of the race in uncharted waters for the five-time defending division champion Phillies, they have continued to put up a fight.

In fact, Philadelphia did the Braves a favor last week by sweeping a three-game series from the division-leading Washington Nationals, and that was after splitting four games with another division leader on the MLB lines, the Cincinnati Reds, so although the Phils were sellers at the trading deadline, they are still enjoying playing the spoiler role.

Now to say that Lee has pitched in tough luck this year would be an understatement. He owns a 3.67 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP and he has his customary fantastic ratio of 156 strikeouts against an amazing 25 walks in 161.2 innings! Lee also has seven Quality Starts in his last 10 outings while allowing two earned runs or less in five of them, and yet has just a 3-2 record and five no-decisions to show for it.

Lee has yet to face the Braves this year but he is 3-1 in seven starts against them since coming to the National League with a 2.25 ERA and 1.04 WHIP, holding Atlanta batters to a .233 batting average with an amazing 46 strikeouts vs. nine walks in 48 innings. He is now facing a Braves’ lineup that is batting .228 vs. left-handed batters in its last 10 games entering the weekend.

The Braves have been inconsistent while going 4-6 in their last 10 games and they did not do themselves any favors on the MLB betting lines earlier this week by losing two out of three games to the lowly San Diego Padres. They now hope that Hudson can build on his personal 7-0 record in his last 10 starts, with Atlanta as a team going 9-1 in those outings.

Hudson is certainly having a fine season, but his 3.57 ERA and 1.20 WHIP do not vary greatly from Lee’s numbers, and Hudson is less of a strikeout pitcher with only 85 vs. 40 walks in 141 innings. Perhaps most importantly, his worst start during his current 10-game hot streak came vs. these Phillies in Philadelphia where he was reached for six earned runs on six hits plus three walks in just 4.1 innings.

With the Braves being favored here, we will take the value with Lee.

MLB Lines Selection: Take the Philadelphia Phillies as underdogs Saturday

If you agree that Lee will pitch the Phillies to an upset won on Saturday or if you disagree and feel that the Hudson will help move Atlanta closer to sealing a playoff spot, you can back your opinion on this and other MLB lines at Bookmaker Sportsbook and get paid quickly with the fastest payouts in the world.

Panthers Vs Buccaneers Picks – Sunday Night Football Odds

NFL Lines – Schiano Era To Start Well With Sunday Victory For Tampa Bay Buccaneers Over Carolina Panthers

Written by Adam Markowitz of North Shore Sports, INC

BookMaker Sportsbook

The 2012 NFL season is officially underway! Here at Bookmaker Sportsbook, we’re here to help you beat the NFL lines for another Sunday afternoon battle. The Carolina Panthers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will meet, as we take a look at their Week 1 NFC South clash.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL Betting Lines VS Carolina Panthers Pro Football Betting Online

Pro Football Betting Online:

The battle on the NFL betting lines will be hot and heavy on Sunday, September 9th when the Carolina Panthers ( 6-10 in 2011, 9-7 ATS ) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ( 4-12 in 2011, 4-12 ATS ) are going to be squaring off against each other in a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, FL. This Week 1 pro football clash will be televised on FOX.

NFL Betting Lines

Carolina Panthers: -3 ( +110 )
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: +3 ( -130 )
Total: 46.5

Anyone who played on the NFL betting lines at the end of last season knew just how bad the Buccaneers really were. They couldn’t stop anyone, and they just couldn’t figure out how to do much of anything offensively either. That’s why Head Coach Raheem Morris was fired and replaced with Greg Schiano, who will bring a new level of intensity to the team.

The “buck” starts and stops with this defense, which ranked dead last in scoring a season ago. S Mark Barron was the team’s first round draft choice, and last year’s top pick DT Gerald McCoy should be back in the fold after suffering injuries.

Offensively, WR Vincent Jackson is the newest weapon of choice, and he is going to be getting passes from QB Josh Freeman, who knows that he is going to have to really step up his game and protect the football.

QB Cam Newton broke literally every single record in the books for a rookie last year, and that’s why the Panthers were a threat on the NFL gambling lines every single week. He is a dual threat, and the ground game also has the help of RB Jonathan Stewart, RB DeAngelo Williams, and newly acquired RB Mike Tolbert.

Once again though, the defense really needs some playmakers. This is going to be the first game for LB Mark Herzlich, who is going to hopefully be the anchor of this defense for years to come. If the Boston College product turns out to be the real deal, this is a team that can beat the NFL wagering lines against anyone in football.

NFL Lines Prediction: The Bucs just can’t be as bad as they were last year. They have a new culture in the Sunshine State, and we think that it is going to be one of proven winners. Schiano and his men won’t win every single week, but we think that this is the most vital game of the season to get the boys in pewter off to a winning start under the new regime.

If you’re looking for the best NFL lines on the internet, you’ve come to the right place here at Bookmaker Sportsbook. Try to beat the odds for the Carolina Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers and all of the Week 1 games on the NFL schedule!

Green Bay Packers NFL Odds VS San Francisco 49ers Football Odds Online

Football Odds Online:

The San Francisco 49ers ( 13-3 in 2011, 12-3-1 ATS ) had the best record in the league against the NFL odds last season, but they have their work cut out for them in the season opener vs. the Green Bay Packers ( 15-1, 11-5 ATS ) at historic Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI on Sunday, September 9th at 4:25 ET on FOX.

The 49ers took advantage of a fairly easy schedule while accumulating 13 straight up wins in 2011, but they are not likely to match that success on the NFL odds this year given a killer non-conference slate that begins here.

In fact, we feel San Francisco is getting too much respect in this spot as this seems like a very cheap spread at home for a Packers team that went 15-1 last year; especially with Green Bay expected to have a better running game and defense.

Current Line at Bookmaker:
Green Bay Packers: -5½
Total: 45

Aaron Rodgers is coming off of his best NFL odds season as he passed for over 4600 yards with an unbelievable ratio of 45 touchdowns passes vs. six interceptions while completing 68.3 percent of his passes, and the scary part is that he is just now reaching his peak, which is bad news for NFL defenses over the next several years.

What often gets overlooked about Rodgers is his excellent mobility, which is what probably makes him the best quarterback in the game today. Rodgers is equally adept at taking off running ( 257 rushing yards on 4.3 yards per carry last year ) and moving around to extend plays with his feet to allow receivers to come open, and that is a trait that comes in handy vs. great pass rushes like the 49ers possess.

Rodgers did all of that with no running game to support him last year, and if Cedric Benson’s rushing performance in the third preseason game was not a mirage, then Green Bay may be downright unstoppable offensively. The Packers still need an improved defense though, and that is where rookie linebacker Nick Perry comes in.

The Packers were unable to generate much of a pass rush last year because opposing teams were able to double team Clay Matthews, who coincidentally like Perry is also a rushing linebacker from USC. If Perry can take his college game to the pro level, expect Green Bay to apply a lot more pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

Now we get that Alex Smith is a mobile quarterback in his own right, but if the Packers score as many points on the NFL betting odds as we expect, Smith will have to put the ball in the air probably more than San Francisco would like.

Sure, Smith had surprisingly respectable passing numbers in 2011, but then again, the 49ers’ defense never allowed them to face huge deficits. Smith will have a tougher time passing in a come-from-behind mode here.

NFL Odds Prediction: Take the Packers -5½ on Sunday, September 9th

Will the Packers open up the new season with a resounding home win or will the 49ers pick up where they left off last year despite facing tougher competition? For the best odds and largest variety of options on this and other NFL odds, back your opinions at Bookmaker Sportsbook right now.

Canadian Football League Picks – Eskimos Vs Stampeders Odds

CFL Picks – Round 1 In Battle Of Alberta To Go To Calgary Stampeders Over Edmonton Eskimos

Written by Adam Markowitz of North Shore Sports, Inc.

BookMaker Sportsbook

Our CFL picks are set to continue on Sunday in Week 10 of the campaign. This Monday Labour Day clash between the Edmonton Eskimos and the Calgary Stampeders is sure to be a very interesting game, as these two teams genuinely hate one another.

Calgary Stampeders CFL Betting Online VS Edmonton Eskimos CFL Betting Odds

CFL Betting Online:

On Monday, September 3rd at McMahon Stadium in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, our 2012 CFL picks continue for football diehards. TSN will have live television coverage of the Labour Day clash between the Edmonton Eskimos ( 5-3, 5-3 ATS ) and Calgary Stampeders ( 4-4, 4-4 ATS ) starting at 4:30 ET.

CFL Betting Odds

Edmonton Eskimos: +3.5
Calgary Stampeders: -3.5
Total: 49

Edmonton and Calgary naturally hate each other regardless of what the sport is that they are playing, but when we’re talking about CFL betting picks, the intensity ramps up a heck of a lot more.

This could be the first Battle of Alberta for Steven Jyles with the Eskies as a starter, and he is going to hope to grow what has been a suspect season. He has only completed 58.9 percent of his passes for 1,497 yards, and he has just five TDs against four picks. However, Jyles has been ineffective and was knocked around last week and replaced by QB Kerry Joseph, who exceeded expectations and led the team to victory over the Toronto Argonauts to keep the Eskies over .500.

It will be interesting to see the split in the backfield once again between RB Hugh Charles and RB Cory Boyd, both of which are keys to giving Edmonton the edge in CFL gambling picks. These two have only shared the same backfield for two weeks, and Boyd has only swiped 11 carries for 47 yards, but he should have a bigger workload going forward.

Meanwhile, Calgary is still getting used to life with QB Kevin Glenn under center in place of the injured QB Drew Tate. The team scratched out a win last week against the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Regina, which is no easy task, but the offense is clearly suspect to those making CFL wagering picks. The Stamps have averaged just 17.5 points per game in their last four overall.

CFL Betting Pick – The Battle of Alberta is flat out awesome every single year, and the Labour Day Classic makes it all the more special. Though the road team had won four straight meetings from the end of 2010 through the start of 2011, the last clash of the year went to the Eskies at Commonwealth Stadium. History still tells you that the hosts are the ones to back over the long run, as they are 16-12 ATS over the course of the last 28 meetings. That’s good enough for us to want to give the “stamp” of approval to the Stampeders this week.

The Calgary Stampeders and Edmonton Eskimos are set to give it a go on the gridiron, and we are ready to make all of our CFL picks for the game. Here at Bookmaker Sportsbook, we are your official home for the Canadian Football League season, and we are going to have odds available on every single game of the season!

Vikings Vs Jaguars Predictions – NFL Sunday Week 1 Picks

NFL Odds – Sunday Clash For Minnesota Vikings And Jacksonville Jaguars To Stay Way ‘Under’

Written by Adam Markowitz of North Shore Sports, INC

BookMaker Sportsbook

Our NFL odds are posted for Week 1 at Bookmaker Sportsbook, and today, we’re taking a look at the non-conference match-up between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Minnesota Vikings. Check out this Sunday soiree in a battle of two teams that have a heck of a lot of growing to do after disappointing 2011 campaigns.

Minnesota Vikings NFL Betting Odds VS Jacksonville Jaguars NFL Odds Pick

National Football League Betting Online:

The Jacksonville Jaguars ( 5-11 in 2011, 7-8-1 ATS ) and the Minnesota Vikings ( 3-13 in 2011, 6-8 ATS ) are set to take each other on in NFL action on Sunday, September 9th at 1:00 p.m. ET. CBS is going to have live coverage of what should be a great battle on the NFL odds at the HHH Metrodome in Minneapolis, MN.

NFL Betting Odds
Jacksonville Jaguars: +5
Minnesota Vikings: -5
Total: 38

The Jaguars and the Vikings both have massive problems on the NFL betting odds this year, and it starts right at the top with the two quarterbacks.

QB Blaine Gabbert was arguably the worst signal caller in the league last year. He barely completed half of his passes and threw for just 12 TDs against 11 picks. He averaged just 5.4 yards per pass attempt, and that isn’t nearly going to cut it against any of the premier teams, or even the mediocre teams in the league.

The good news for Gabbert is that he is going to have the help this year of rookie WR Justin Blackmon. The Oklahoma State wide out was one of the biggest receivers in the land last year at the collegiate level, and many think that he has a chance of making a bigger impact on the NFL wagering odds for his Jags than WR Dez Bryant, another OSU alum, has had with the Dallas Cowboys.

Minnesota isn’t in all that much better shape. QB Christian Ponder was probably picked too high in the NFL Draft a year and a half ago, and save for WR Percy Harvin, there really isn’t all that much in the way of solid wide outs on the outside either.

About the only thing that either of these teams had last year to help them beat the NFL gambling odds was their running backs. Even now though, that is in severe doubt for the start of the year. RB Maurice Jones-Drew, the league’s leading rusher from last year, is in the midst of a nasty contract dispute with the Jags. Even if he does report to camp, there has to be a chance that he has the same type of fallout that RB Chris Johnson had last year after his holdout with the Tennessee Titans.

RB Adrian Peterson is clearly one of the best backs in the league for the Vikes as well, but he tore his ACL at the end of last season, and his availability for Week 1 is still up in the air.

NFL Odds Pick – How are these two teams going to score points? Ponder and Gabbert just don’t have the goods, and the receivers on these teams just aren’t all that good. With too many question marks surrounding the running backs as well, the offenses just don’t look good. We just don’t know how there will be even 28 points put on the board, let alone 38.

Sunday Night Football Picks – Texans Vs Dolphins Betting Odds

NFL Picks – First Sunday Start for Miami Dolphins Ryan Tannehill To Be Disastrous Against Houston Texans

Written by Adam Markowitz of North Shore Sports, INC

BookMaker Sportsbook

Our NFL picks are set to continue with a look at the clash between the Houston Texans and the Miami Dolphins. This Week 1 encounter is sure to be a very interesting Sunday afternoon clash between teams trying to get into the postseason in the AFC.

Houston Texans NFL Betting Odds VS Miami Dolphins NFL Betting Pick

Professional Football Betting Online:

Our 2012 NFL picks continue for football diehards with a look at the clash at Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX between the Houston Texans ( 10-6 in 2011, 9-5-2 ATS ) and the Miami Dolphins ( 6-10 in 2011, 4-11-1 ATS ). Join us on Sunday, September 9th at 1:00 p.m. ET, as we break down the Week 1 NFL betting lines for what should be a great game televised on CBS.

NFL Betting Odds
Miami Dolphins: +10
Houston Texans: -10
Total: 43

Last season was when the Texans were finally able to kick the door down and get into the playoffs. They took down the Cincinnati Bengals, and they nearly did the same on the road to the Baltimore Ravens. The proof is there that this is one of the up and coming teams in the league, and this could be the start of a special season of NFL betting picks in the Lone Star State.

What has changed now is that QB Matt Schaub is over his foot injury, and both WR Andre Johnson and RB Arian Foster should be good to start the season. We can only imagine what these three together will be able to do for those making NFL gambling picks on the Texans, knowing that they played together for a grand total of just four games last year.

And then there are the Dolphins, who were a train wreck at the start of last year. They were arguably the last team that you would want to make your NFL wagering picks on for the first two months of last year. At the end of the year though, Miami was a team to be reckoned with.

However, a ton has changed that is going to have to make even the most aggressive gambler pause for concern. Head Coach Joe Philbin has never led a team before, and it is also going to be the first time that QB Ryan Tannehill steps on the field. This defense is still young and is learning to gel together, and we just don’t see how RB Reggie Bush is going to have as successful of a second season in South Beach as he did last year.

NFL Betting Pick – In the brief Texans’ history, they actually have hosted one game against a rookie quarterback. QB Mark Sanchez and his New York Jets came to Reliant Stadium and put together a victory a few years ago. Tannehill won’t be all that lucky though, as he will succumb to the fact that the Fins are 0-6 SU and 2-4 ATS against Houston all-time.

The Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins are set to give it a go on the gridiron, and we are ready to make our NFL picks for the game. Here at Bookmaker Sportsbook, we are your official home for the 2012 NFL season, and we are going to have odds available on every single clash on the year!
