NFL Betting – Tennessee Titans To Put Jacksonville Jaguars Back Into Place
Written by Adam Markowitz of North Shore Sports, INC
The 2012 NFL season is underway! NFL betting action gets going with the Tennessee Titans and the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11. Today, we take a look at one of the great battles on the gridiron on Sunday between teams going in the wrong direction in the AFC South.
The Jaguars have themselves some quarterbacks controversy at the moment. QB Chad Henne came off of the bench last week replacing an injured QB Blaine Gabbert, and he had a remarkable game, keeping up stride for stride with the Houston Texans and their potent defense in a game that was only finalized with a few minutes left in overtime. Henne and WR Justin Blackmon combined to account for over 200 receiving yards, and though the day was totally overshadowed by WR Andre Johnson and QB Matt Schaub, there is no doubting the fact that Blackmon was a monster for the first time in his career.
To make for great NFL betting picks in this one though, Jacksonville is going to need better play defensively. Houston really just kept throwing up and down the field against this defense, and QB Jake Locker on his bye week had to be thrilled to see it. This is a Tennessee offense that is just waiting to explode with WR Kenny Britt healthy and WR Kendall Wright putting together better and better performances as the weeks go on.
The Titans might be facing a must have game on the NFL betting odds. They are one of the many 4-6 teams in the AFC, and they are just two back of the Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers for the two Wild Card slots in the conference. It”s going to be a tough haul for the rest of the year to get to eight or nine wins to keep their name in the hat, but the Titans don”t have much of a choice.
Keep a close eye on RB Chris Johnson in this battle on the NFL betting lines. CJ2K has 862 yards on the ground this year, and he had at least 91 yards in each of his final five games before heading into the team”s bye week.
Free Prediction – What we have to remember about Jacksonville is that the team has played horrifying ball at home this year. The club has gone 0-5 SU and ATS, and all of these games resulted in losses of at least 17 points. Tennessee hasn”t been a good road team this year, but it hasn”t been a good home team either. The Titans have failed to cover three straight in this series, but this is where it all turns around. The Jags have scored 17, 16, 17, 3, and 13 in the last five games against Tennessee.
