USC Trojans freshman quarterback Matt Barkley will face a stiff road test in what could be his second college start. The Trojans have won nine consecutive games against Big Ten opponents, winning by an average of 23.7 points. Also USC crushed the Buckeyes 35-3 at the Coliseum in 2008 and that might be something the Buckeyes have a hard time to forget. USC safety Taylor Mays. He’s a two-time All-American with something to prove: Can he make plays on the ball? Here’s a guess he’ll make plenty of those and continue to be one of the biggest hitters in all of college football. Although the experts feel rookie quarterback won’t be able to handle the pressure and they are saying that USC Trojans will be the team that will disappoint the most this season since everyone expects that they win the conference and it looks like they won’t be able to do so.
Ohio State Buckeyes will be playing for more than revenge; they’ll also be playing for conference pride and that is something we should consider. The Buckeyes are ranked No.6 in the country and that is expected, the tradition this team has proves that they are heavy contenders for the conference. Ohio State’s quest to topple Troy: No team has symbolized Big Ten football this decade like Ohio State, and no team has done more damage to the Big Ten this decade than USC. The two squads meet in Columbus for a game that will largely define how the Big Ten is seen nationally, at least until the bowl season. Big Ten teams have had no success against the Trojans out West, but Ohio State gets Pete Carroll’s team on its home soil. There’s no gray area for the Scarlet and Gray. A win puts Ohio State in position for a possible BCS title run. A loss reinforces the belief that the Buckeyes can’t win big games anymore. This will be a defining game for Pryor one way or the other.
USC -7 -120
THE PREDICTION WILL BE AS FOLLOWS: OHIO STATE IS AT HOME, THEY CAN ACTUALLY GIVE USC A RUN FOR THEIR MONEY THEY WON’T BE ABLE TO STOP USC COMPLETELY SO THEY WILL BE MY PICK OHIO STATE +7 EVEN BECAUSE I FEEL USC WILL WIN BUT THEY WON’T COVER THE HEAVY SPREAD.
