With Palko showing the inability to excel at this level, Head Coach Todd Haley will look to Kyle Orton to move his offense against his former team. Kansas City has tallied two SU wins in five tries away from Arrowhead Stadium but covered three of those games against the closing pointspread.

Just when the Bears seemed to find their mojo, the season took a turn for the worse when it was discovered that QB Jay Cutler broke the thumb on his throwing hand in Chicago’s Week 11 NFL gambling odds pounding of the San Diego Chargers. Hanie threw for 254 yards and a pair of scores, but grossly showed his inexperience by tossing three interceptions; one of which completely changed the momentum of the game late in the first half. KC excels in defending the pass, so it will be up to RB Matt Forte to loosen the Chiefs’ 26th ranked run defense (133.7 YPG) up to allow for him to come up with big strikes downfield.

NFL Gambling Prediction – Even though Kansas City covered the closing number last week at home, the loss will have taken a toll on the team. Now a full two-games out in the AFC Wild Card chase, you have to wonder how much fight this team has left in the tank. With Detroit also falling last week, Chicago still holds one of the Wild Card slots in the NFC with two games remaining against the woeful AFC West the next two weeks. The Bears have covered each of their L/4 as favorites and six of their L/7 in the home chalk role. Look for them to make quick work of this punchless Chiefs outfit and set their sights on the Week 14 road battle with Tim Tebow and the Broncos!
