NCAAF Betting Online:

The Louisiana Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns (8-4, 8-4 ATS) and the San Diego State Aztecs (8-4, 5-7 ATS) are set to tango on Saturday, December 17th, 2011 at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, LA. We’re breaking down the NCAA football odds for the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, which can be seen live on ESPN and ESPN3.com at 9:00 ET.

NCAA Football Odds
Louisiana Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns (+4.5) -110
San Diego State Aztecs (-4.5) -110
Over/Under 58.5

Bowl season is generally a great time to play ‘overs’ on the NCAA football betting odds, and we don’t think that the New Orleans Bowl is any exception.

Louisiana Lafayette has played in some real barnburners this year. The Cajuns played four of their last five games past the number, and in all five of those games, there were at least 51 points. All of the games that eclipsed the ‘total’ went into the mid-60s and beyond.

QB Blaine Gautier was one of the more efficient signal callers in the nation this year, as he threw for 2,488 yards and 20 TDs against five picks. He also had over 400 yards on the ground to boot.

Especially playing basically in their own backyard, we know that the Cajuns are going to pull all of their stops out. ULL is no stranger to the trick play, and we expect to see plenty of opportunities for huge plays from its standpoint.

It’s not like the Aztecs are slackers on the NCAA football gambling odds either, though. They averaged almost 30 points per game this year, and if you take out complete dud games against the Michigan Wolverines and TCU Horned Frogs in back to back weeks, they averaged over 450 yards per game as well.

There is a heck of a lot of talent on this offense. QB Ryan Lindley threw for 2,740 yards and 20 TDs against eight INTs on the campaign. On the ground, speedy RB Ronnie Hillman was one of the best backs in the country, rumbling for 1,656 yards and 19 TDs; he also has 221 yards and a score as a receiver as well. He is clearly going to be the difference maker if San Diego State is to beat the closing odds and earn the Aztecs bowl wins in successive seasons.

NCAA Football Odds Prediction – ULL played eight of its 12 games past the ‘total’ this year. The ‘over’ is also 7-1 in its last eight non-conference tussles. The Aztecs scored 35 points in last year’s Poinsettia Bowl, and we fully expect to see them get there as well. The difference is that this year, the Ragin’ Cajuns will put up a heck of a lot better fight than Navy did against SDSU. Expect this one to fly past the 60s and into the 70s if not more!

Ohio Bobcats NCAAF Betting Odds VS. Troy Trojans College Football Odds

NCAA Football Betting Odds – Superdome Hosts Troy and Ohio in R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl

Written by North Shore Sports, Inc.

Bookmaker Sportsbook presents another duel against the NCAA football betting odds this week with the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. The Ohio Bobcats and Troy Trojans square off in an important affair that college football betting fans surely won’t be able to wait to sink their teeth into.

NCAAF Betting Online: The bowl portion of the college football wagering season continues on Saturday, December 18th at 9:00 ET, and fans trying to beat the NCAA football betting odds with mobile betting will get to watch the Ohio Bobcats take on the Troy Trojans at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, LA. You can watch the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl this year on either ESPN or ESPN3.com.

The Bobcats almost certainly played their way into this battle against the NCAA football betting odds thanks to the fact that they beat the Temple Owls at the end of the season. It’s a shame that they were beaten by the Kent State Golden Flashes in their final game, or they would have played for the MAC Championship instead of the Miami Redhawks.

Ohio did have a nice year, bouncing back from three early losses to finish 8-4 on the campaign. It had won seven in a row before losing to the Flashes in that regular season finale, and it closed out by covering seven of its L/9 against the NCAA football betting odds.

This isn’t a particularly flashy offense, as the Bobcats do turn the ball over quite a bit. Boo Jackson only threw for 1,688 yards and rushed for 325 more on the campaign, and he threw 16 picks against just 15 TD passes. Vince Davidson and Wildcat director Philip Bates both had nice years as well, rushing for 509 and 508 yards respectively.

The Trojans are no strangers to the Superdome, as they have played in the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl in seasons past. They know that they have built up one of the best programs in the Sun Belt, and it was a very big disappointment that they did not win the conference this year.

Truth be told, this is a team that is young and is only getting better by the game. Corey Robinson is the best signal caller in the conference, and he is only a freshman. He threw for 3,339 yards and 24 TDs this year, and he directed an offense that ranked No. 24 in the land nationally.

The defense had some very shoddy moments though, and that’s why Troy was a sub-.500 team against the NCAA football betting odds. This unit allowed at least 41 points three times this year, and at least 34 five times.

The R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl features NCAA football betting odds of Troy -1½ and a ‘total’ of 58. Don’t be surprised though, if the reps from the MAC come with their ‘A’ game in this one. If Ohio can get anything going against this Trojans defense, we believe that the Bobcats can do enough on the other side of the ball to get the job done.

If you’re a fan of trying to beat the NCAA football betting odds, don’t miss a moment of the action this year for your team! Bookmaker Sportsbook has the best NCAA football spreads, ‘totals’, and moneylines on the internet.
