In all likelihood, Indianapolis is going to end up turning to Dan Orlovsky under center, and that could spark the team to a victory, something that Curtis Painter hasn’t been able to do for the last two months.

Those playing on the NFL betting odds have to like the fact that Orlovsky has a 66.7 pass completion percentage on the season, though he has only thrown the ball 21 times. He does have some experience as a starter, having done so for half the season with the Detroit Lions in 2008 – which, as fate may have it, was the most recent team to go 0-16. Still, it seems clear that Orlovsky has the more polished tools to lead this team to a ‘W’.

The question is whether the Panthers really have any business laying points on the road on the NFL gambling odds. Cam Newton has run away with Rookie of the Year voting after throwing for 2,885 yards and 12 scores while accounting for another 411 yards and nine TDs on the ground. There’s no doubt that Carolina’s offense is going to get its points in this one, especially against the only defense in the game allowing 30 points per game.

However, Carolina has had its struggles for sure on the defensive side of the ball. It is allowing 28.6 points per game, and over the course of the last two weeks, it has allowed 79 points. On the road, things are even worse. The Panthers are allowing an average of 35.5 points per game and 382.8 yards per game.

NFL Betting Picks – If the Colts can’t snap their string now, they’re probably never going to do it. They’re winless ATS in their last nine games against teams with a losing record, but they are going against a team that is 1-7 ATS in its last eight games in the month of November.
