Statistically, these are the two worst offenses in the NFL in terms of total offense, with the Jaguars ranking dead last with 242.6 total yards per game and the Colts second to last with 282.8 yards. Jacksonville is also dead last in scoring offence at 12.2 points per contest while Indianapolis is third to last with 14.2 points, with the St. Louis Rams splitting them and preventing them from being the bottom two there.

The Jaguars may have the biggest offensive threat on either team in Maurice Jones-Drew, as the diminutive running back is having a great year despite having nothing around him. Jones-Drew has rushed for 740 yards in eight games on an excellent 4.5 yards per carry, and he has single-handedly kept Jacksonville in some games this year, enabling them to go a semi-respectable 3-4-1 vs. the NFL odds.

Unlike the Colts, Jacksonville has also been decent defensively, allowing 20.4 points and 307.0 total yards per game, and they should have little trouble handling the bumbling Colts’ offense here.

If you recall, the Colts tanked some games at the end of the season a few years ago with a chance to finish 16-0 because they already had the top seed sewn up. With that kind of mindset, who is to say whether or not they are doing their best to win a game now that they have the inside tack on the Andrew Luck Sweepstakes?

Rather, the talent level is very limited starting with the quarterback position and Indianapolis really has no incentive to put an improved product on the field right now.
