NFL Lines – Lack of Respect for Atlanta Falcons against New Orleans Saints
Written by North Shore Sports, Inc.
Beating the NFL betting lines is our specialty here at Bookmaker Sportsbook, and we’re set to tackle the Week 10 odds for the war between the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons.
NFL Betting Online:
Hopes are high for the Atlanta Falcons (5-3, 4-4 ATS) and New Orleans Saints (6-3, 5-4 ATS) in Week 10, as they get set to face off at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA. The NFL lines will be on the board at Bookmaker until 1:00 ET when this one kicks off on Sunday, November 13th, 2011 on FOX.

The Saints are doing just about everything right this year. Drew Brees is having an MVP type of season, as he is the first quarterback to reach 3,000 passing yards. Granted, he has had nine games to do it in instead of the eight that most quarterbacks have now played, but still, averaging 333.8 passing yards per game would still leave him at a record breaking 5,340 for the season if he were to keep that pace up over the entire year.
(Though we must note that Brees isn’t the No. 1 passer in terms of yards per game. That title goes to QB Tom Brady, who is on pace for 5,406 yards this year.)
The running game for New Orleans generally feels non-existent because of the passing game, and that would only seem to be heightened by the absence of Mark Ingram in the backfield. That being said, those playing on the NFL betting lines would be wise to know that this team ranks No. 9 in the league in rushing at 126.0 yards per game.
The Falcons certainly have a tough task ahead of them. They have picked up their defense quite a bit in these last three games, holding the Carolina Panthers, Detroit Lions, and Indianapolis Colts to just a total of 40 points, but the numbers for the season are still lacking. The team ranks No. 13 in total ‘D’ at 341.4 yards per game and No. 12 in scoring at 21.2 points per game.
That being said, if Atlanta is going to beat the NFL wagering lines in this one, it is going to need a big day out of Michael Turner. The “Burner” has 692 rushing yards and seven TDs this year, and he has found the end zone at least once in all but three games. He has had at least 19 carries in four of his last five games as well.
NFL Lines Picks - For a team that is 7-3 ATS over the course of its last 10 divisional games and has won all but one of its home games since December 2009 against teams not named the Green Bay Packers, we’re a bit surprised that the Falcons have been installed slight underdogs. Yes, New Orleans has won here in back to back seasons, but Atlanta is 3-1 ATS over the course of the last four, and the Saints are still just 1-5 ATS in their last six road games overall. Back the Dirty Birds on Sunday!
