Bet on Saints vs. Titans – New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans close out the preseason in Nashville

If you got the urge to bet on Saints vs. Titans odds for the teams final preseason tune up of the exhibition season, Bookmaker Sportsbook will be front and center in Nashville, TN for the 8:00 ET kick-off from LP Field.

NFL Betting Online: Both the Saints and Titans pretty much have their rosters figured out heading into their final battle of the exhibition season.

New Orleans picked up yet another home win and cover last week against the San Diego Chargers whom it ousted 36-21 as three-point chalk; the 57 combined points surpassed the closing ‘total’ to move the ‘over’ to a perfect 3-0 ATS in its 2010 exhibition season.

QB Drew Brees hadn’t gone wild in the Saints first two preseason games throwing for 91 yards and no TDs combined, but that was far from the case last week. The reigning Super Bowl MVP completed 18-of-27 passes for 240 yards with a pair of scoring strikes. Having already gotten enough work in, don’t expect to see #9 in this game.

Instead, look for both Patrick Ramsey and Chase Daniel to continue going at it with the backup slot yet to be determined. The former Mizzou product looks to have the edge over Ramsey heading into this one after he exploded against the Houston Texans completing 15-of-21 passes for 182 yards with a TD/INT ratio of 3/1.

The Saints offense has simply been unstoppable in the 2010 preseason coming in ranked 1st in total yards (422 YPG), 1st in passing yards (279.7 YPG), fourth in rushing (142.3 YPG), and 2nd in points scored (32.7 PPG).

The same can’t be said of the defense however as it’s allowed an average of 22.7 PPG (#22) and has been torched through the air to the tune of 234 YPG (#25). With defensive coordinator Gregg Williams constantly throwing blitz packages at opponents in the preseason, that doesn’t bode well for this unit when the games really count.

On the flipside, the Titans enter this final tune-up off an embarrassing 15-7 defeat against the Carolina Panthers in a game they were held under 220 yards of total offense.

Now, the Panthers have played the best defense of any team throughout the exhibition season, but there’s still no excuse for the talent the Titans have offensively not to have at the very least shown a pulse.

The defeat was Tennessee’s second of the preseason in three game played, but Head Coach Jeff Fisher still scratched out a pair of covers to move to 34-29 SU & 32-28-3 ATS in the exhibition season.

Ranking just 17th on the ground (94.7 YPG) won’t cut it for QB Vince Young and the passing attack. The former Texas Longhorn needs RB Chris Johnson and company to succeed to open up passing lanes for the erratic at best passer. Since that hasn’t been the case, the Titans rank 25th overall through the air (186.3 YPG) and have managed scoring an average of just 16.3 PPG (#23).

The same problems that plagued this squad defensively a year ago have resurfaced through their first three preseason battles. They dominate at defending the run (#4 at 70.7 YPG) but grossly fail in defending the pass (#28 at 244 YPG); not good when matched up against the high flying New Orleans Saints!

The Saints have taken three of the L/4 preseason battles against the Tennessee Titans both SU & ATS.
