Despite the team collecting 286 total yards without a turnover, quarterback Donovan McNabb was benched in favor of rookie first round draft pick, Christian Ponder; McNabb threw for 177 yards, completing 19 of 24 passes. Heading into Sunday’s game against Green Bay, Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier has opted to start Ponder for the first time in his NFL career. “For a guy who gets limited reps in practice, it seems he had a good grasp, like we thought he would, of our offense,” Frazier said Monday. Ponder finished 9-17 for 99-yards on Sunday night.

The Vikings are just 1-5 this season but the teams compiled a 2-3-1 record against the NFL betting odds; the O/U is 3-3 this season. Minnesota is also a dismal 0-6-1 ATS in its last seven games against NFC North opponents and 0-5-1 ATS in its last six games as a home underdog.
