And that brings us to the Texans. Last year, RB Arian Foster ran for over 230 yards and three TDs in Week 1 against Indy, and this season, it could be a great debut for RB Ben Tate. Tate will inevitably get his share of carries with Foster battling a nagging hamstring injury, and the second year man out of Auburn who lost all of last season to an injury of his own, will be sure to pick up the slack.

QB Matt Schaub is one of the dark horse picks for MVP on the NFL betting lines this year, and for good reason. He is a candidate to throw for over 5,000 yards, especially with one of the league’s best receivers in Andre Johnson and one of the up and coming tight ends in Owen Daniels on the outside.

Defensively, things should be improved this year for the Texans, as DC Wade Phillips installs his 3-4 package into the Texans philosophy. The ‘D’ has a healthy set of middle linebackers in DeMeco Ryans and Brian Cushing, two men that only saw the field for a few games together last season, and adding DE JJ Watt, DB Johnathan Joseph and DB Danieal Manning is only going to help matters as well.
