NCAA Betting Online:

From the mountains to the prairies to the oceans white with foam, Bookmaker Sportsbook has you covered with the most college football gambling options for Saturday, October 22nd, and everyday throughout the season, including the Mid American Conference crossover featuring Buffalo and Northern Illinois from UB Stadium. Kickoff is set for 12:00 ET and the game can be seen online at ESPN3.com.

Northern Illinois enters the road contest as a -14 point college football betting favorite while the total sits at 62.

After scoring a major Mid American Conference upset over the Ohio Bobcats two weeks ago, the Buffalo Bulls unfortunately looked much more like themselves in a 34-0 loss to the MAC East leading Temple Owls last Saturday in Philly. Buffalo, a team that’s bad but not horrible against the run, watched as the Owls collected 400 of their 458 total yards on the ground; the Bulls could only muster 158 yards of total offense while losing the first-down battle 19-10.

“There was very little that we did right today,” Bulls head coach Jeff Quinn said after the blowout loss. “We’ve got a lot to learn from it, it was a difficult day on that field. Hopefully our kids will grow and develop and understand from one week to the next its all about your preparation and executing the game plan.” At least Buffalo can hang its hat on the fact that it only got flagged for a single penalty while committing just one turnover. Other than Ohio, the Bulls’ only other win came in Week 2 against FCS opponent Stony Brook.

Buffalo is just 2-5 SU this season and 1-2 SU in the MAC East, but the Bulls have collected a 4-3 mark against the college football gambling lines while the ‘under’ has played in five of their seven lined games. Buffalo is just 1-7 ATS in its last eight against teams with winning records and 2-8 ATS in its last ten conference games.

Clearly on the more difficult side of the MAC (the West), Northern Illinois is well within striking distance of first place Toledo; the two schools will meet on November 1st in Ohio. This could very well be a trap game for the Huskies if they overlook the struggling Bulls in anticipation of their following week’s Tuesday night tussle with the Rockets. Northern Illinois is, however, riding a two game winning streak into Saturday’s game in Buffalo, having dealt Kent State and Western Michigan losses by 30 and 29 points respectively.

The Huskies out of DeKalb rank 15th in the country in scoring, posting an average of 39.6 points per game while their ground game boasts a No. 9 ranking in the nation thanks to the two headed monster created by quarterback Chandler Harnish and fellow senior Jasmin Hopkins. Harnish has also thrown for over 1500 yards this season and 12 touchdowns. It’s clear that Northern Illinois can beat teams on the ground or through the air, which could cause major problems for the Buffalo defense come Saturday afternoon.

Northern Illinois has played to a 4-3 SU ledger in the standings and stands 3-4 against the college football betting odds this season; the Huskies are 2-1 in the MAC and the ‘over’ is 5-2. Northern Illinois is also 9-2-1 ATS in its last 12 MAC contests and 7-1-1 ATS in its last nine games in October.
