The Cougars are coming off of a horrible shellacking at the hands of the Utah Utes in the Holy War, dropping a 54-10 decision here at home. The Utes outscored BYU 40-0 in the second half to blow what was once a close game clear out of the water.

QB Jake Heaps is one of the best up and coming quarterbacks in the nation, though he still has a lot of work to do to improve in this, his sophomore season. He’s only completed 57.1 percent of his passes to date for 722 yards with a poor TD/INT ratio of 3/4.

UCF has a sophomore of its own under center in QB Jeff Godfrey, who struggled mightily in last week’s unsuccessful college football odds picks against the Florida International Golden Panthers.

Godfrey has yet to throw a TD pass this season and has thrown for just 468 yards in three games to date.

However, the strength of the Knights is on the ground, where they have a whopping 12 TDs, including six by Godfrey. The quarterback, Ronnie Weaver, Brynn Harvey, and Latavius Murray all have over 100 rushing yards as well, and all four of them could have over 700 yards by the time this season is said and done with.

The Knights have only allowed a grand total of 20 points on the campaign, but 17 of those came in last week’s loss against their instate rivals from FIU.

UCF is 13-3 ATS in its last 16 road games, but this is about as far away from home as the team will ever get. The Knights are also used to making winners out of those who make college football wagering picks on the ‘under’, as they are 34-15-2 for ‘under’ bettors in their last 51 games played on grass.
