TCU stepped out of Mountain West play last Friday night to battle the BYU Cougars in what’s turned into a budding rivalry through the years. The Horned Frogs bolted out to a quick 7-0 lead when QB Casey Pachall connected with WR Skye Dawson from 48 yards out, and then after holding the Cougars on their first possession of the game, the special teams took advantage of a miscue on the punt to set the offense up for another quick strike to move ahead 14-0. Wyoming has really excelled offensively this season, as it checks in ranked 34th in total yards (433.3 YPG) and 47th in scoring (30.3 PPG). Unfortunately, the defense has given up an average of 30.1 PPG (#85) and 439.9 YPG (#105). If it’s to give the Horned Frogs a challenge as lofty home pups here, the offense must keep pace in what could turn out to be a shootout provided bad weather doesn’t play a role.
