Chicago finished with 14 penalties in the loss, nine of which were false starts due to the volume level at Ford Field. That’s not a valid excuse for the Bears’ loss and Lovie Smith admitted it, but Bears fans are sick and tired of the head coach’s monotone reactions after the Monsters of the Midway get beat up and down the field week after week.

Chicago (2-3) is just 1-4 against the NFL wagering odds this season while the ‘under’ has played to a 3-2 tally. Though the Bears are 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall and their last four against NFC opposition, the home team is 5-1 ATS in the Bears’ last six games against the Vikings.
