As for HC Rex Ryan’s Jets, it was once again tripped up in the AFC Championship Game a year ago by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Though the defense was able to handle the high powered attacks of the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots in the first two rounds, the Steelers balanced attack was just too much for them to contend with early. Though the defense kept Big Ben and company off the scoreboard in the 2nd half, they dug themselves too deep a hole in the first half to come back from. When the dust cleared, the Jets found themselves on the short end of the 24-19 final and just came up short of covering the four-point closing NFL gambling line.

Though this season is brand new, the story remains the same as adamant HC Ryan has once again stated his squad is going to win the Super Bowl. Most of last year’s key cogs are once again in place on both sides of the ball. QB Mark Sanchez is the leader of the offense. C Nick Mangold is the leader of the O-Line, while RB LaDainian Tomlinson is the cagey vet in the backfield with Shonn Green and Joe McKnight spelling him at times.
