The Titans really could be a demoralized team right now. They were eliminated from contention in the AFC South when the Houston Texans won a game at the gun against the Cincinnati Bengals, and just minutes later, they couldn’t pull off the same feat down near the goal line against the New Orleans Saints.

To make matters worse for those planning on playing the Titans on the NFL betting lines, Barrett Rudd was put on IR this week, Javon Ringer was announced out for the season, and Matt Hasselbeck is battling a calf injury.

For a team that is only a game out of the playoffs, this is a terrible time to throw a rookie into the mix. Indy doesn’t do a lot well, but one of the things that it is efficient at doing is rushing the passer. If Dwight Freeney or Robert Mathis can get around the corner, they could add tremendously to their combined 13 sacks this season.
