Of course, Brees is going to be watching his back as he could be caught by Tom Brady, who is going to be playing a game running concurrently that has a heck of a lot more meaning than this one probably will to the black and gold.

On the other side, the Panthers have been a sneaky team on the NFL gambling odds all season long. They took these Saints down to the wire when they played each other on Tobacco Road, and they have won four of their last five games both SU and ATS and should have beaten the Atlanta Falcons in Week 14 as well in the lone loss in that stretch.

Cam Newton has already broken the record for most passing yards by a rookie in a season and most rushing touchdowns by a rookie in a season, and he continues to pour it on. He has 3,893 passing yards and 20 TDs and 674 rushing yards and 14 TDs on the campaign.

NFL Odds Prediction – The road team is 18-4 ATS in the last 22 games in this series, and that is a trend that we cannot ignore. Carolina is good enough to win in the Bayou, and it would be a huge step towards this team going in the right direction for the 2012 season. Don’t be shocked if the Panthers walk out of the Bayou with a SU victory to end any hope of New Orleans getting a first round bye.
