To say that this is an elimination game for the Seahawks and the Eagles is a bit of an understatement, because both teams have already probably had it in their push for the postseason. Both teams enter this battle on the NFL betting odds at 4-7, three games out of the playoffs. Philly has the added road to the postseason in the NFC East, as it is three back of the Dallas Cowboys for first place as well, but for the most part, both teams are just trying to run down the Chicago Bears or the Detroit Lions for the Wild Card slots.

Seattle, historically a better home team than road team, pulled off a terrible collapse on Sunday against the Washington Redskins that really makes us wonder whether the team has any resolve left in the tank. The Seahawks were up 10 in the fourth quarter before the wheels fell off, allowing 16 straight points to end the game to a Washington offense which hadn’t done much of anything the first three quarters of the game.

Philly though, is off of an even bigger loss, a 38-20 beat down at the hands of the New England Patriots that truthfully wasn’t even remotely that close

The big question to answer before playing the NFL betting lines this week is whether or not Michael Vick is going to play. Vick has injured ribs that have kept him out of the fold for the last two weeks. Vince Young has some big numbers in his absence (658 yards, 3 TDs, 5 INTs in two starts), but the team hasn’t played well to say the least.

Both teams can rely heavily on their running backs. LeSean McCoy topped the 1,000-yard mark on the ground last week for the Eagles, and he now has 1,278 all-purpose yards for the season. On the other side of the field, Marshawn Lynch has 706 yards and seven total TDs, and he has found the end zone once in each of the last seven games.
