We have a really hard time figuring out this Green Bay team right now. Aaron Rodgers and the gang look absolutely unstoppable, and about the only comparison that we can make to the Packers is the 2007 New England Patriots, who infamously ended with a not-so-perfect 18-1 mark after falling in the Super Bowl to the New York Giants.

It was finally right around this time that the oddsmakers started catching up to the Pats. They finished out the year at just 1-5 ATS in their last six games, and they were going against NFL betting odds that looked a heck of a lot like this one that Green Bay is faced with going up against this week.

To make matters worse for Packer backers, the stock on the Bucs is as low as it has been all season long. Tampa Bay was brutalized at home by the Houston Texans 37-9 last week, the team’s third straight loss and second defeat by at least four scores this season.

In that stretch, the offense has scored just an average of 14.3 points per game, and the defense hasn’t been able to stop anyone.

That being said, we still tend to think that Tampa Bay has some upside this week on the NFL betting lines. The Bucs have had a rough go of it defensively this year allowing 401.2 yards per game, but they have played an absolutely atrocious schedule that only includes two teams which we can really count out of the playoff picture. The fact that the team was only beaten down twice in this stretch is remarkable, and we can never count out the uncanny ability that Josh Freeman seems to have about making games close and pulling them out in the end.

Don’t be spooked by Freeman’s numbers this year though, as he has played a heck of a lot better than a quarterback that has thrown for nine TDs against 13 picks.

NFL Betting Picks – Of course, we’re not saying that Tampa Bay is winning this game outright or anything, though it did beat the Pack in both 2009 and 2008, the former of which came as a 9.5 point underdog. The Buccaneers are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 in this series, and we tend to think that they are going to be able to hang within the two TD spread at Lambeau Field come Sunday.
