There is not much time leading up to Saturday for the Tigers to prep for the defending National Champions, and head coach Dabo Swinney is well aware that his team is far from complete. “We have to improve on some things,” Swinney said, “we have to get better fast in some places.”

Though Auburn was badly out gained by the powerful Mississippi State attack, the Tigers kept their 17 game winning streak alive. “We’d prefer to win football games a lot different than we are, but there’s something to be said when you can fight down to the end when it doesn’t look good and still win the game,” said Auburn head coach Gene Chizik. Of Auburn’s 17 consecutive wins, 10 have come by eight points or fewer.

Auburn (2-0), like Clemson, is 1-1 against the NCAA football betting odds this season while the ‘over’ sits 2-0. Though Auburn is 4-0 ATS in its last four games as an underdog, the Tigers are just 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight against ACC opposition.
