NFL Monday Night Football and ESPN bring an AFC South Challenge between Tennessee Titans with an overall record of 3-6 against Houston Texans with an overall record of 5-4. Titans have won their last 3 games and it could go further if QB Vince Young keeps throwing the same way, the Texans will have to put pressure on him …

8:30 PM ET, November 23, 2009
Reliant Stadium, Houston, TX
ESPN

Tennessee Titans QB Vince Young isn’t putting up Peyton Manning numbers, but he accomplished something in the past three weeks no Titans quarterback has done since Steve McNair in his MVP season of 2003. In each of his three starts, Young posted a passer rating of more than 90. And while RB Chris Johnson’s 495 rushing yards and six touchdowns the past three weeks have garnered more attention, Young’s improvements are a big reason the Titans have won three straight games. Since taking over for Kerry Collins prior to the Nov. 1 game against the Jaguars, Young has completed 71.0 percent of his passes (44-of-62) for 507 yards. It looks like Young already took what belongs to him and now he counts with RB Chris Johnson and RB LenDale White by grown and WR Kenny Britt and WR Justin Gage, these squad is ready to take the streak to another level, may be a change of QB was all they needed.

Houston Texans are 3rd on the AFC South with an overall record of 5-4 which is not much but they are tied with Jacksonville Jaguars, this game could mean the 2nd place right behind Indianapolis who are still flawless. After getting five consecutive days off, the players return to practice today to begin preparations for the Monday night game against the Titans, whom they defeated 34-31 in Nashville in the second game of the season. Since Gary Kubiak became their coach in 2006, the Texans have been better over the second half of the season than the first half. They’re 5-4 for the first time. They should be headed for a successful stretch drive if they continue a trend that began in Kubiak’s first season. QB Matt Schaub, RB Steve Slaton, RB Ryan Moats, WR Andre Johnson and TE Owen Daniels are more than ready to leave everything on the field next monday, Houston could grab the second place and become a real playoff contender, long way til’ monday.

GAME ODDS

TENNESSEE TITANS 48
HOUSTON TEXANS -4½

THIS GAME COULD BE THE BEST CHANCE HOUSTON HAS FOR A SPOT ON THE PLAYOFFS, IT’S VERY IMPORTANT FOR THEM TO WIN AT HOME AND GET THE CONFERENCE AND DIVISIONAL RECORD POSITIVE, THIS COULD BE THE WILD CARD AS WELL SO MAY BE THIS ONE BRINGS MORE TO THE TABLE THAN MEETS THE EYE. MY PICK WILL BE HOUSTON TEXANS -4½.

NFL Sunday Night Football and NBC bring a battle on the NFC Conference. Philadelphia Eagles with a record of 5-4 travel to the Soldier Field to face Chicago Bears with a record of 4-5. Philly is trying to catch Dallas on the first place of the NFC East while the Bears struggle on the NFC North trying to catch Green Bay because they won’t be able to catch Minnesota anymore.

8:20 PM ET, November 22, 2009
Soldier Field, Chicago, IL
NBC

Philadelphia Eagles biggest blow this week is the fact that RB Brian Westbrook is scheduled to meet with a specialist in Pittsburgh this week — likely Wednesday — to determine if and when he can resume playing football after a series of concussions. Most NFL players battling concussions visit the same clinic and hospital in Pittsburgh. Previous visitors include former Dallas Cowboys QB Troy Aikman, former San Francisco 49ers QB Steve Young and former Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders LB Bill Romanowski, each of whom saw concussions end his NFL career. This represents a big change in the plans of the Eagles, they just don’t a good enough replacement for that position so they will have to redo the whole strategy against the Bears. QB Donovan McNaab will count on the grown with RB LeSean McCoy who is not as experienced as Westbrook but he can do the job just fine. WR DeSean Jackson and TE Brent Celek will be catching everything McNaab throws so it could be a good chance to concentrate on the passing game for a while.

Chicago Bears need to essentially “run the table” in the final seven games to make the playoffs. The Bears stood at an identical 4-5 mark after nine games in 2007 — they went 3-4 the rest of the way. We should also point out those final two victories against Green Bay and New Orleans occurred after the Bears were officially bounced from playoff contention. So much for finishing strong. Now the Bears have to go at least 5-2 (possibly 6-1) to have any shot to extend their season. That seems like a major long shot when you look at the remaining quality opponents on the schedule: Philadelphia, Minnesota (2), Green Bay and Baltimore. This sounds reachable if only the Bears had a healthy squad and that is also not the case here, The Bears had Desmond Clark, Kevin Payne and Olin Kreutz missed practice on Monday. it looks like these guys are questionable and the Bears couldn’t need them more at this moment, it is a live or die situation and this team is a freaking hospital, tough luck. QB Jay Cutler will miss these players, RB Garrett Wolfe was an important part of the bears offense and now he is out for good. Cutler will count with RB Matt Forte, WR Devin Hester and WR Earl Bennett but he has a lot of holes to fill this week, will they be able to survive this one?

GAME ODDS

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES -3 EV
CHICAGO BEARS 45

THE PREDICTION WILL BE TOUGH, PHILLY ON THE ROAD IS JUST OK BUT THE FACT THAT ALMOST HALF OF THE BEARS ARE PROBABLE OR QUESTIONABLE MAKES ME WONDER IF THEIR BENCH IS CAPABLE ENOUGH. MY PICK WILL BE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES -3 EV.

NFL Thursday Night Football brings a challenge between Miami Dolphins with a record of 4-5 and a road record of 1-3 against Carolina Panthers with the same record (4-5) and a home record of 2-2. This could be a game that decides the future of both teams. This is a key game for Carolina if they want to climb up in their division and may be squeezed in to the Wild Card Race, may be the Dolphins will provide the opportunity.

8:20 PM ET, November 19, 2009
Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC
NFL

Miami Dolphins have ran the Wildcat offense all year long and they have accomplished alot, although they are far from what they expected for this season. Now the situation is they just lost the anchor of that offense, RB Ronnie Brown. Brown hurt his right ankle in the third quarter, limped off the field assisted by teammates and later hobbled to the locker room, where he watched the end of Miami’s 25-23 win. This could mean that the second string Running Back can take care of the Wildcat offense but that is not so easy to do, it takes a lot to run like Ronnie Brown and it might take more than what the coach thinks, this could be the end of the Wildcat Dolphins as we know them this season. As in this moment Brown appears as questionable, some X-rays later on will determine his participation in thursday night game, looks like the Dolphins need a little miracle to be able to compete with the Panthers. QB Chad Henne will be forced to use RB Ricky Williams and to throw it to WR Davone Bess and WR Greg Camarillo, that is not that bad but Henne will have to be very accurate now that they cannot run the Wildcat every single time, that could be the situation that they have to overcome.

Carolina Panthers haven’t received the best of news this weekend as well, their offensive line anchor LT Jordan Gross is recovering after undergoing surgery on his broken right ankle Sunday night. A team official said the surgery went well. The Panthers are expected to place him on injured reserve later today. The Panthers moved Travelle Wharton to left tackle and inserted inexperienced Mackenzy Bernadeau in Wharton’s old spot at left guard. The Panthers could sign another offensive lineman to add depth before Thursday’s game against Miami. This is not good for the Panthers, they really need to get these guys ready for this game otherwise their advantage could be lost and then they might even end up losing the game just because the adjustments couldn’t reach their potential. QB Jake Delhomme must be protected at all times, and he lost the best player at it so now he will need to throw on the run, may be he will be rushed so he will be using RB DeAngelo Williams still a little sore from his knee and RB Jonathan Stewart also a little sore from the Achilles tendon. Delhomme will be throwing to WR Steve Smith and WR Muhsin Muhammad who has been a little sore from the knee as well. This is not a good picture for the Panthers, a lot of their key players are not on their 100% and that could determine the outcome ofthe game.

GAME ODDS

MIAMI DOLPHINS 43½
CAROLINA PANTHERS -3 -120

THIS IS A GAME THAT IS FULL OF HURT PLAYERS, GUYS THAT JUST RECOVERED FROM SORE KNEES AND OTHER SIGNIFICANT PAINFUL INJURIES SO THIS COULD BE OVER BY THE HALFTIME. MY PICK WILL BE MIAMI DOLPHINS +3 EV SINCE THEY HAVE THE HEALTHIER TEAM, THEY WILL RUN THE WILDCAT AND CRUSH CAROLINA.

Baltimore Ravens with a record of 4-4 travels to Ohio to face the Cleveland Browns with a poor record of 1-7. The Ravens have excelled themselves on defense all year long, they have pounded on their rivals heavily and this game won’t be an exception, they will go at it with everything they have got, it will be a very physical game and Cleveland will suffer another loss.

8:30 PM ET, November 16, 2009
Cleveland Browns Stadium, Cleveland, OH
ESPN

Baltimore Ravens need to jump out to an early lead. Cleveland has the most inept offense in the NFL and they have showed no ability to get into a high-scoring shootout. They would like to slow this game down with the run and keep Joe Flacco and Co. on the sidelines. If the Ravens get out to a quick lead, they can force Cleveland to become a one-dimensional pass offense which will lead to Browns’ mistakes and turnovers and that adds up to an easy day for Baltimore. The Ravens will count for this game with QB Joe Flacco, RB Ray Rice, RB Willis McGahee and Derrick Mason. This particular game could be over soon, it might happen on the first quarter of the game or the second but Cleveland has no shot against Baltimore powerful and physical game.

Cleveland Browns with a terrible record of 1-7 has shown absolutely nothing this year. they are rank almost dead last on pretty much all the stats provided by the NFL. QB Derek Anderson will try to use their running offense with RB Jamal Lewis and RB Jerome Harrison as an alternative to this game but with the physical game the Ravens will bring it’s hard to think this tactic will be effective on the course of the game. If both teams remain close on the scoreboard then yes it’s time to run and run but what will happen if Baltimore starts to increase the difference on the board, they Anderson will be forced to throw and this is somehing than could be terrible for them, WR Mohamed Massaquoi and WR Braylon Edwards will try to catch everything but they will get pounded and at the end of the game whatever they try won’t be enough, I can’t see how this could be a winning scenario for the Browns regardless if they are the home team.

GAME ODDS

BALTIMORE RAVENS -10½
CLEVELAND BROWNS 40

WELL, WE HAVE SAID PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR MONDAY NIGHT GAME, CLEVELAND BROWNS WON’T BE ABLE TO STAND RIGHT NEXT TO THE RAVENS AND SCORE AS MANY TIMES. MY PICK WILL BE BALTIMORE RAVENS -10½ TO WIN BY WAY MORE THAN THAT.

New England Patriots have been good this season, their record of 6-2 beating rivals up and down, left and right but the question remains: Have they been able to defeat a real challenger??? The answer is no, the fact is the Indianapolis Colts with a perfect record of 8-0 are looking better than ever, it seems to me that the Pats will go back home with their tails between their legs, eventhough the real challenge will be between two of the best QBs of the moment.

8:20 PM ET, November 15, 2009
Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN
NBC

New England Patriots and their Star QB Tom Brady will appear on Sunday guns drawed against the Colts, they will need everything they got to defeat in my opinion the BEST TEAM IN THE NFL this season. The Pats lost WR Brandon Tate in the second quarter last sunday and he is questionable for this upcoming game. Also WR Julian Edelman has a forearm injury as well so the Pats are looking short handed by air, QB Tom Brady will have to look for help elsewhere, may be in the hands of WR Randy Moss and WR Wes Welker, they have been putting big numbers and scoring, they should be playing the whole lenght of the game. On the grown the Pats will count with RB Laurence Maroney and RB Fred Taylor, this year not as big but they have been doing it steady so this could be the push the Patriots need and they will need it a lot. The key for this game is to blitz on Manning and hope the defense can hold the runners, they need to push on the offensive line protecting Manning, and fast because he will try to be faster and will make crucial mistakes.

Indianapolis Colts are 8-0 and they are not looking to loosen up the pace. their QB Peyton Manning has made it look so easy it’s actually scary. He can throw at any situation and to sack him is quite a luxury, his offensive line protects him like no other and they are ranked No.2 by the experts on the weekly power rankings. The Colts defense is their best asset, they limit their rivals to 13.5 points per game, the lowest on the NFL so this could be a factor, the Pats are second right behind them with 14.3 points so this could be a very interesting match up. Manning will count for this game with RB Joseph Addai, RB Donald Brown, WR Reggie Wayne and TE Dallas Clark, good enough players to beat the Patriots. The key for the Colts will be the super fast passing game and the defense that will try to stop Brady.

GAME ODDS

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 49½
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS -3 EV

THIS WILL BE A DUEL BETWEEN THE BEST QBS IN THE NFL, HIGH SCORING GAME COULD BE A POSSIBILITY BUT ALSO GREAT DEFENSIVE PLAYS WILL EMERGE. THE FACT IS INDIANAPOLIS IS FASTER, THEY HAVE GREAT MOMENTUM AND THEY ARE LOOKING PRETTY TOUGH, THE PATRIOTS COULD HAVE A LONG SUNDAY NIGHT IF THEY CANNOT STOP THE SHOTGUN FORMATION THROW. MY PICK WILL BE INDIANAPOLIS COLTS -3 EV TO WIN BY AT LEAST A TD.

NFL Network brings us a challenge on thursday between Chicago Bears with a record of 4-4 and 3rd place on the NFC North against San Francisco 49ers with a record of 3-5 and 3rd spot on the NFC West. This conference challenge will be very important for both teams, this could be the game that tells the future for both squads when they get in the race for the wildcard…

8:20 PM ET, November 12, 2009
Candlestick Park
NFL

Chicago Bears had a rough time against the Cardinals last sunday and they got thumped at HOME nonetheless, it was a heartbreaking game since they thought that game was the turning point on the road to the playoffs, well may be this next one will be the turning point. The Bears have some injured players that might be affecting the next game, players like CB Charles Tillman is questionable and RB Garrett Wolfe is out so this could be a harsh scenario on the road, they might need someone to step up and save the day. QB Jay Cutler have had a bad season, so far he has had 14 tds and 12 interceptions with the added bonus of 19 sacks, that’s way too many for a QB that was brought here to save the Bears and to bring them to the playoff season, may be he needed to get comfortable for next season. Helping Cutler the Bears will count with RB Matt Forte, WR Devin Hester and WR Earl Bennett, they will try to help as much as possible but the key on this game will be the QB Jay Cutler to deliver and to prove what he was brought here to accomplish, he was hired to win games and he needs to show that he can. The defense will play a key factor as well, the 49ers are on a losing streak and they could be stopped and the Bears know this, they will be blitzing all game.

San Francisco 49ers and QB Shaun Hill have lost their last 4 games, 2 at home and 2 on the road which makes me think about the effect this game could have on their players, they had less time to rest and recuperate from the surprising defeat against Tennessee Titans at home, this game could be over before it starts. No serious injuries have been reported, the players available for this game offensively will be RB Frank Gore, RB Glen Coffee, TE Vernon Davis and WR Josh Morgan, they won’t make that much of a difference but at least they count with a squad healthy enough to face the Bears. The key will be to stop the Bears running and passing, the defense will have to be in their very best performance to finish the Bears on the road but this could also be a long story for the 49ers if they don’t get Cutler in trouble.

GAME ODDS

CHICAGO BEARS 43½
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS -3

THIS GAME WILL BE THE ONE CHICAGO HAS BEEN WAITING FOR, ON THE ROAD THE BEARS WILL HAVE A GREAT CHANCE TO SHOW WHAT THEY ARE REALLY MADE OF. MY PICK ON THIS GAME WILL BE CHICAGO BEARS +3 TO RUN OVER THE 49ERS.

Pittsburgh Steelers with a record of 5-2 and both of those losses on the road travels to Mile High to face the Denver Broncos with a record of 6-1 after they got beat last sunday by Baltimore in a very physical game. The Steelers need this game to catch the Bengals on top of the AFC North while the Broncos are solid in first place of the AFC West with noone even close to give them a decent fight. Both of these offenses are capable of being physical with the run, but the defenses in this game could dictate a lot of multi-receiver sets with liberal passing. Pittsburgh’s identity already revolves around the pass offense, while Denver would like to run the ball — but that’s not happening against the rock-solid Steeler run defense. With two really good defenses, do not be surprised if this is a wide-open offensive game with creative play calling.

8:30 PM ET, November 09, 2009
Invesco Field at Mile High, Denver, CO
ESPN

Pittsburgh Steelers S Ryan Clark a couple years back playing in Denver became ill and lost his spleen and gall bladder plus 30 pounds due to medical complications that ended his season, this time could be different but Coach Mike Tomlin haven’t decided if he will suit up. Clark practiced Monday as the Steelers returned from a full week off, and he has received medical clearance to play. It seems to me that the Steelers have a lot of important injuries to consider for this game, they could use all the help they can get but they will be short handed none the less. The gameplan it’s on QB Ben Roethlisberger’s hands, also WR Hines Ward and WR Santonio Holmes (who suffers from the same illness as Clark but is not as complicated) will be helping by air, RB Rashard Mendenhall and RB Willie Parker will be helping on the grown with their physical running game, they will need a very powerful offense if they want to put this game away.

Denver Broncos injuries are also a point to consider in this game. RT Ryan Harris won’t play against Pittsburgh next Monday night after sustaining a toe injury in the Broncos’ loss at Baltimore. This injury might be a lot more complicated so the team are still waiting. Harris, a third-year pro from Notre Dame, has started 22 consecutive games for one of the league’s best offensive lines. He was replaced in the first half Sunday by second-year pro Tyler Polumbus, who is in line to make his first NFL start against the Steelers next Monday night. This could be a very important issue for Denver who just lost their first game against Baltimore, they don’t need another one and even worst at home. The Offense will have QB Kyle Orton, RB Knowshon Moreno, RB Correll Buckhalter, WR Brandon Marshall, WR Jabar Gaffney and S Brian Dawkins who will play on Monday without a problem. This offense will be good enough to take the Steelers by air or grown at home but the defense needs to be on their toes and they need to move fast if they want this victory.

GAME ODDS

PITTSBURGH STEELERS -3
DENVER BRONCOS 39½

THIS WILL BE A VERY INTERESTING MATCH, DENVER BRONCOS WILL BE HOLDING THE BALL AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE AND STEELERS WILL BE PUNDING ON THEM ALL GAME LONG. MY PICK WILL BE DENVER BRONCOS +3 AT HOME, STEELERS CAN’T PLAY THAT GOOD ON THE ALTITUDE AND THEY ARE MISSING KEY PLAYERS.

Dallas Cowboys gave a lesson on the road to the Seahawks, now they travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles who also gave a harsh lesson on the road to the Giants. Now Philadelphia Eagles come home and they are looking great, it will be a good test to both teams since both saher the same record (5-2) and both are rivals at the NFC East, this game represents who gets to grab the first place in this division, Eagles, Cowboys or Giants keep it for one more week.

8:20 PM ET, November 08, 2009
Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA
NBC

Dallas Cowboys are superior in every offensive and defensive team stat, QB Tony Romo has been playing good lately so it’s time his team actually balance the offense a little bit. Offensive coordinator Jason Garrett will have the option of attacking the Eagles’ defense at all levels both on the ground and through the air. Garrett will keep the Philadelphia defense guessing with a good mixture of run and pass. Now, Romo can’t do it all by himself he will have on his side WR Miles Austin, TE Jason Witten, RB Marion Barber and RB Felix Jones all leaders and they will do as much as possible to win this game since this particular one can decide the faith of the Cowboys on the NFC East. “I think everybody realizes what’s at stake in this game and how critical this one really is,” WR Patrick Crayton said. “I’m not going to call it a must-win [game]. It’s not going to break the season, but I think it’s a ‘have to win.’” Then the Cowboys share the top and they need to get this one out of their ways and continue to the post season as head of the division but it will be a tough one.

Philadelphia Eagles just crushed the Giants in a very embarrasing way, Philly made the Giants looked out of place, with a lack of offensive goals and just lazy. Now they come back home and face the biggest challenge of their season, they need to beat the Cowboys to grab the first place of the division and hold it tight for the post season. QB Donovan McNaab had a great game last sunday, he might be able to repeat it this upcoming sunday, all of these teams look alike, they have played eachother numerous times and the have been rivals for a very long time so that’s the key ingredient for this game, rivalry. Defensive coordinator Brian Stewart, a former protege of Dallas Coach Wade Phillips might be interested to show his good friend the big mistake he did when he fired him, Philadelphia’s defense is on the move and they are stopping everyone, this is the key for Philadelphia to win this game, DEFENSE. On the offense the Eagles will have RB LeSean McCoy, RB Brian Westbrook (questionable), WR DeSean Jackson and TE Brent Celek, they will need Westbrook fully recovered and QB Donovan McNaab more accurate than ever. They sure need a lot of luck but this game is theirs if they blitz on Romo and let the defense do their job.

GAME ODDS

DALLAS COWBOYS 47½
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES -3

THE PREDICTION COULD BE ONE TO PUT THE NFC EAST ON FIRE, GREAT CHANCE TO MARCH FIRST OF THE DIVISION AND TO BE ON TOP FOR A WHILE. MY PICK FOR THIS GAME WILL BE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES -3 TO CRUSH THE COWBOYS AT HOME.

NFL Monday Night Football Week 8 brings an interesting challenge between Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints both divisional rivals at
NFC South. Atlanta Falcons with a record of 4-2 are fighting to have a decent record so they can be elligible for the Wild Card but the real story here are the Saints with their 6-0 record, the freshest surprise this season and they have managed to crush all their adversaries.

8:30 PM ET, November 02, 2009
Superdome, New Orleans, LA
ESPN

Atlanta Falcons are having an ok season, they thought it was going to be a tough one and they were right but they have managed to stay right behind the Saints and that is not easy to do. QB Matt Ryan had a tough game against the Cowboys, his offensive line was all over the place and they weren’t able to complete the opportunities. With 2 tds and 2 interceptions Ryan is trying to put the ball in the air as accurate as possible but he still needs some time to adjust, his time will come but it will not be this season. By air Ryan has WR Roddy White and TE Tony Gonzalez, they both have been the soul of the offense scoring many tds this season. The running game will be on RB Michael Turner who has scored 7 tds already, that is simply amazing for a running back on a semi-powerful team. The key for the Falcons will be to attack by grown and throw only when it’s absolutely necessary, they don’t need to waste any chances and they need to have the ball, if they defend they need to block the running game.

New Orleans Saints have some injuries for this game, FB Heath Evans (knee injury) and DT Sedrick Ellis (sprained right knee) are both questionable for this NFC South Challenge. The good news is that TE Jeremy Shockey is probable and he will be needed. QB Drew Brees and the gang are expecting to score a whole bunch of TDS, they have done so all year long and this will be a great opportunity to remind the rest of the conference that they are a team to consider favorite to take the title. Drew had a slow game last sunday but his team was able to score 40+ points again, this looks like a very complete offense/defense strategy. By air Brees will have WR Marques Colston and WR Devery Henderson, they have been catching everything so the Falcons need to keep an eye on these two players. On the grown is where the big difference lies, RB Mike Bell and RB Pierre Thomas have ran 5+ yards per carry and they are a real threat to the defensive line the Falcons have, they need to break their defense to crush them, and they will.

GAME ODDS

ATLANTA FALCONS 54
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS -10

THE ODDS INDICATE A GOOD SCORING GAME, THE MAIN FOCUS OF BOTH TEAMS IS THE OFFENSE, NEW ORLEANS HAS A BETTER DEFENSE AND THAT’S WHY THEY ARE THE BIG FAVORITES, OBVIOUSLY THE FACT THAT THEY ARE AT HOME MAKES THE GAME MORE INTERESTING AND THE NEED TO KEEP THEIR WINNING STREAK ALIVE. MY PICK WILL BE THE HOME TEAM NEW ORLEANS SAINTS -10 TO CRUSH WITHOUT MERCY THE POOR FALCONS.

The return of the star to the town that made him who he is, Favre is concentrating in winning, Rodgers and company are eager to beat him and teach him a lesson, Favre talks about success and the most professional team he has ever been in, it’s all a matter of time but Green Bay is looking for revenge from the defeat they suffered a few weeks back, they need to feel that they can beat Favre where he stood many times as one of the greatest players of the franchise.

4:15 PM ET, November 01, 2009
Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI
FOX

Minnesota Vikings lost their first game of the season last sunday against Pittsburgh Steelers by 10 points. QB Brett Favre had 334 yards with no tds and 1 interception, it was a slow day for the air attack, the Steelers controlled Favre and he had less opportunities to complete the passes, this is his first game with a completion rate of 66%, Steelers blitzed and Brett ran for his life, I assumed that is the recipe to defeat the Vikings. Helping the cause for the Vikings Favre will have WR Sidney Rice and WR Percy Harvin as the starting receivers, may be he will use a different estrategy against the Packers but it looks like the same names pop in my mind, they are just that good. On the running game that has been what favre has used to build his plays the Vikings will have RB Adrian Peterson and RB Chester Taylor, but mainly Favre will focus on Peterson who is fully healthy. It sounds like the whole team is right behind their leader, injury report like WR Bernard Berrian (left hamstring) is the only significant variable, nothing else has been reported, the rest of players are just ready for sunday afternoon. The key for Minnesota will be to pressure the young QB from the Packers and run the ball with Peterson as many times as possible, to chew the clock and let Favre do his job.

Green Bay Packers go second right behind the Vikings at the NFC North, they had a hell of a game against Cleveland Brown and QB Aaron Rodgers had an incredible game, Rodgers completed 15-of-20 passes for 246 yards and 3 touchdowns with 75% completion rate, no interceptions and 23yards rushed. This are quality numbers and Rodgers is starting to make a name for himself as a valuable piece of the Packers winning machine. Packers problem for this sunday will be injuries, WR Brett Swain (knee surgery) is out, TE Jermichael Finley (knee sprained) is questionable and by the looks of it he will have a hard time if he gets to play this very physical game. Helping QB Aaron Rodgers by air the Packers will count with WR Donald Driver and WR Greg Jennings who is probable to start this next sunday are in charge of catching everything and anything the QB throws, they will need luck and hard shoulders. The running game will be the feet of RB Ryan Grant who has been a great help this season and he is fully healthy. The key to defeat the Vikings was shown by the Steelers, corner the Old guy, make him run, pressure his throws, control the game, if the Packers can blitz all afternoon, this game will be theirs.

GAME ODDS

MINNESOTA VIKINGS 47
GREEN BAY PACKERS -3

THIS IS A SPECIAL GAME, FAVRE GOES BACK TO LAMBEAU FIELD AND THE PACKERS ARE DESPERATE TO GET BACK AT HIM FOR THE BEATING HE BROUGHT ON THEM A FEW WEEKS BACK. RODGERS AND COMPANY ARE DYING TO PROVE THAT THIS IS NOT FAVRE’S YEAR AND THAT THEY ALSO DESERVE TO BE IN FIRST PLACE, MY PICK FOR THIS GAME WILL BE MINNESOTA VIKINGS +3 BASICALLY BECAUSE THEY ARE HEALTHIER AND THEY HAVE A BETTER OFFENSIVE LINE.
