Glennon will have to be at his best here, as the Wolfpack did not run the ball well this year, averaging 108.2 rushing yards per game on only 3.1 yards per carry, and that does not figure to change here vs. a stout Louisville run defense that mirrors those numbers, allowing 103.5 rushing yards per game on 3.1 yards per rush.

That said, the Big East was the lowest rated major conference this season according to the Sagarin Ratings, which brings the Cardinals’ schedule into question in CFB betting, and while NC State can boast a blowout win over Clemson, Louisville did not face a single Sagarin Top 30 team.

Even with that schedule, the Cardinals averaged a rather pedestrian 21.8 points and 328.3 total yards per game, so this is not a team that does well when forced to come from behind. Well, the best way to attack the Louisville defense is through the air, and that is NC State’s strength on offense, so a quick lead by the Wolfpack is certainly not out of the question.
