The last time that we saw the Bobcats take the field, they were busy blowing a 20-0 lead against the Northern Illinois Huskies in the MAC Championship Game. It was a devastating finish for Ohio, as it has consistently come up just short of its goals to win its conference over the course of the last three seasons.

The Bobcats haven’t won a bowl game in their history, going 0-5 SU. They have played in three bowl games in the last four years though, which at least gives this team some experience in NCAA football betting postseason action.

Of course, Utah State has only won one bowl game in its five tries in team history, and it will be playing in the postseason for the first time since the 1997 Humanitarian Bowl that took place right here on this field.

These two teams both have fantastic quarterbacks that can really move around. Chuckie Keeton has been out of the lineup since the beginning of November with a back injury, but he is expected to be back in the lineup for this one, and he should have a great duel with the Bobcats’ Tyler Tettleton.

In his freshman year, Keeton helped the Aggies beat the NCAA football betting odds with his 1,175 passing yards and 285 rushing yards in basically half of a season. He had a total of 15 TDs against just two picks.

Tettleton, only a sophomore, has had a great first year calling the shots for the Bobcats. He has thrown for 3,060 yards and 26 TDs against 10 INTs on the campaign, and he also has had a great rushing season, adding 598 yards and nine TDs. He really fell apart down the stretch in the MAC Championship Game though, and he is going to need to do a heck of a lot better than this to beat the NCAA football betting lines in the Potato Bowl.

NCAA Football Betting Pick – We expect a few more points to be scored than there were in the only meeting of these teams in 1994, a 5-0 win for Utah State. The Aggies have played well down the stretch, but they have had a ton of narrow misses. Ohio had been playing well for months before the last eight minutes or so against a great NIU team.
