NCAAF Betting Online:

Kansas State (10-2, 9-3 ATS) was one of the best teams in the country this season in CFB betting at 75 percent, but we feel this is a big jump in class for them, taking on Arkansas (10-2, 7-5 ATS) out of the SEC in the Cotton Bowl from Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX on Friday, January 6th at 8:00 ET on FOX.

Now we are not totally dismissing what Kansas State has done this season, as Coach Bill Snyder has gotten them to overachieve on the CFB betting lines based on everyone’s preseason expectations, but the Wildcats have not really accumulated gaudy yardage stats offensively, and that was vs. mostly bad defenses in the Big 12.

Meanwhile, Arkansas has very good offensive numbers despite facing mostly great defenses of the SEC, especially playing in the South Division, and don’t forget that the Razorbacks’ only two losses came vs. the two best teams in the country both on the road!

Current Line at Bookmaker: Texas (-7½), Total 62½

Arkansas didn’t miss a beat this year on the CFB betting odds with Tyler Wilson taking over at quarterback for the departed Ryan Mallet. The Razorbacks as a team averaged 37.4 points and 446.0 yards per game, while Wilson personally passed for over 3400 yards while completing 63.1 percent of his throws and averaging 8.41 yards per attempt, with 22 touchdown passes against just six interceptions.

The Hogs were not totally one-dimensional either, averaging 138.2 rushing yards per game on 4.4 yards per carry, as the running tandem of Dennis Johnson and Ronnie Wingo combined for nearly 1100 rushing yards. Furthermore, Arkansas accomplished its numbers vs. much better defenses than this Kansas State unit, which is allowing 27.8 points and 398.8 total yards per game.

Wilson should have no problem continuing his fine campaign vs. a Wildcats’ secondary allowing 7.2 yards per pass attempt.

Now Kansas State did average 33.1 points per game during the regular season, but the 343.4 total yards per game that the Cats averaged were quite low by Big 12 CFB betting lines standards. The Wildcats benefitted by creating twice as many turnovers (26) than they committed (13), leaving them a lot of short fields to work with and compensating for the fact that they were outgained by 55 yards per game.

In fact, this is a team that went 7-2 inside the Big 12 while getting outgained in six of the seven wins!

That turnover margin was a key factor to their success against the spread, as it was not as much a case of the oddsmakers underestimating them as it was luck, for lack of a better word, being on their side as turnovers are generally random occurrences. Granted, there may be more luck involved in fumble recoveries than interceptions, but as stated. Wilson threw only six picks all year.

Unless Kansas State has Lady Luck on its side again in the turnover department, look for a much better Arkansas team to win handily in this spot.

CFB Betting Pick: Take the Arkansas Razorbacks (-7½)

Will Arkansas show its class with a big win here, or will Kansas State continue to cash tickets vs. a stronger opponent? For the best odds and largest variety of options on this and other CFB betting lines, back your opinions at Bookmaker Sportsbook right now.

College Football Online – Aggies and Tigers Engage in What Could Be a Legendary Cotton Bowl

Written by North Shore Sports, Inc.

College football online betting fans are heading into the bowl season this week! Are you ready to bet on the clash between the Texas A&M Aggies and LSU Tigers? Don’t miss a moment of the action, at Bookmaker Sportsbook, as we are the outlet for you!

NCAAF Betting Online: Enjoy mobile betting with college football online for this great encounter on Friday, January 7th at 8:00 ET from Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX between the Texas A&M Aggies and the LSU Tigers. The Cotton Bowl can be seen nationally on FOX.

Head Coach Mike Sherman was on a very, very hot seat early this year, as the Aggies had gotten off to a terrible start to the college football online betting season. However, benching his Heisman Trophy candidate, Jerrod Johnson and putting in Ryan Tannehill under center was absolutely genius.

Since that point, the Aggies are 6-0 SU and ATS and have averaged outscoring their foes by 14.8 points per game. Tannehill threw for 1,434 yards and 11 TDs against just three picks. He got a lot of help from Cyrus Gray this year as well, as Gray came out of nowhere to replace the injured Christine Michael; Gray ended up running for 1,033 yards and a dozen TDs.

Defensively, the team allowed 356.8 yards per game this year, and this unit really kicked it into gear down the stretch this season as well with Tannehill calling the shots on offense.

The Tigers were unlucky not to be in the BCS, but they couldn’t beat the Arkansas Razorbacks on the final Saturday of the regular season, and the end result has the Bayou Bengals here in the Cotton Bowl. The purple and gold were great at finding ways to win games all season long, but it just never quite put forth a stunning mark against the college football online betting odds.

Much of the blame can be placed on an offense that only averaged 337.5 yards per game this year, one of the worst marks in the entire SEC. Steven Ridley was the only real asset on this unit, as he ran for 1,043 yards and had 14 TDs to show for his work.

The real difference for LSU was the play of its defense as the unit allowed less than 300 yards per game and once again looked dominant at times against some of the best teams the SEC had to offer.

The Cotton Bowl college football online betting odds feature the Bayou Bengals getting the nod by a single point with the game ‘total’ set at 48.5. We know that LSU probably has one of the best teams not playing in the BCS this year, but the Aggies present a very tough matchup. Just like last year when the Bayou Bengals blew it in the Capital One Bowl against a Penn State Nittany Lions bunch that they should have overmatched, they’ll lose it in the end against these Aggies here in Arlington as well.
