NCAA Football Betting Odds
Wake Forest Demon Deacons (+7) -110
Mississippi State Bulldogs (-7) -110
Over/Under 47.5
Seemingly every single season, if you just blindly played the ‘over’ in every bowl game on the NCAA football betting odds, you would make some money. That’s probably why the ‘total’ in the Liberty Bowl has gone up so much from a very low number of 44 up to 47.5 and even 48 at some sportsbooks. We wouldn’t be shocked to see this number continue to rise as well.
Mississippi State has a bad rap on it because of the fact that it plays in the SEC West. That being said, games against teams like the Alabama Crimson Tide and the LSU Tigers turned out to be brutally low scoring games.
It’s also true that the Bulldogs really never did settle on a quarterback this year, as we have seen Chris Relf, Tyler Russell, and even Dylan Favre take some snaps. Favre has left the school to transfer to community college though, which does leave just Relf and Russell to handle all of the quarterbacking duties.
Wake Forest is typically a low scoring team on paper as well. The offense really only had a few good games this season, though it did show some spunk in games against great defensive teams like the Florida State Seminoles and Virginia Tech Hokies. If Tanner Price can keep good tabs on the football, the Deacons can score in the mid-20s easily against any team in the country.
In order to beat the NCAA football betting spreads though, Chris Givens is going to be the man that has to really step up. He had 74 receptions for Wake Forest this year, and he ended with 1,276 yards and nine TDs. Givens is one of the top receivers, not just in the ACC, but in the entire country, and at 17.2 yards per reception, he can stretch the field and make some big time plays.
NCAA Football Betting Pick - Wake Forest has played four straight ‘under’ contests, while the ‘under’ has gone 7-3 in Mississippi State’s last 10 games. That being said, we still prefer the ‘over’ in this one, as these two teams will have had a full month to get their offenses in sync for this one. Expect a game in the low-50s or so.
Beating the NCAA Football betting lines can be a snap, but only if you’ve got the right sportsbook at your fingertips. College Football Lines – Rocky Heels Look to Take Down Rocky Top in Music City Bowl
Written by North Shore Sports, Inc.
Whether you prefer to bet on college football lines with mobile betting or on the internet, Bookmaker Sportsbook is your one stop shop for the entire 2010 NCAA football betting campaign, including for this duel between the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Tennessee Volunteers in the Music City Bowl.
NCAAF Betting Online: The bowl season kicks off at the Music City Bowl for the Tennessee Volunteers as they take on the college football lines against North Carolina Tar Heels at LP Field in Nashville, TN. Kickoff on Thursday, December 30th is set for 6:40 ET in a nationally televised tussle on ESPN and ESPN3.com.
It almost seems like a miracle that we are still talking about the Tar Heels this year in spite of the fact that they had seven different players, the mass majority of which were on the defensive side of the ball, suspended for the entire season. Give head coach Butch Davis a lot of credit for keeping this team on the up and up this year, including posting a win against the Florida State Seminoles, the runners up in the ACC.
With just three TD passes, TJ Yates will wrap up his career in Chapel Hill with an even 60 touchdowns, and those betting on the college football lines have to figure that accomplishing that goal puts the Heels in a great position to win this game.
The ‘D’ for UNC, despite all of the suspensions, still only allowed 335.0 yards and 22.9 points per game, both numbers of which were very respectable in the ACC.
After coughing up a lead late against the South Carolina Gamecocks on October 30th, the Vols knew that something had to change. They had to beat the college football lines in each of their final four games just to make it to this point, and that’s exactly what they did, earning a lot of extra practice time and a respectable bowl game for first year Head Coach Derek Dooley.
The switch to Tyler Bray under center halfway through the season made all the difference in the world for those betting on the college football lines on Tennessee. Bray might have only completed 54.7 percent of his passes, but he did have 1,537 yards and 14 TDs against seven picks, numbers which were far better than those of original starter, Matt Simms.
With just six yards, Tauren Poole will have reached the 1,000 yard barrier this year on the ground. Denarius Moore is also within striking distance of the 1,000 yard mark as a receiver, as he has 912 yards and nine TDs and is averaging 21.2 yards per reception.
The Music City Bowl college football lines feature North Carolina favored by two-points with a total of 50.5. Still, the de facto hosts have the hot hand in this game, and UNC doesn’t have the greatest bowl history in the world. The SEC usually finds ways to shine in games like this, and though this one should be close throughout, we’ll give the nod to the men from Rocky Top to hand the Tar Heels a bowl loss for the third straight season.
