Vanderbilt Commodores (+2.5) -110

It’s hard to think that there is a team out there in the SEC that only has one bowl win in its history. Vandy only got that win a few years ago in the Music City Bowl, and now it heads right up the road to Memphis, where it will once again have a fantastic home field advantage against a Cincinnati team that very well could be demoralized to be here.
The Bearcats really struggled on the NCAA football betting odds at the end of the year. After QB1 Zach Collaros went down with an ankle injury against the West Virginia Mountaineers, it was all downhill from there. Cincy went on to lose that home game against the ‘Neers, and they were blown out the very next week by the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. They did play well against the Syracuse Orange and the Connecticut Huskies to end the season and to earn a share of the Big East title, but they weren’t good enough to hop WVU in the BCS rankings and are stuck here in Memphis instead of going to the Orange Bowl.
Collaros’ ankle injury is still bad enough to consider him doubtful for this game, though the fact that the game still isn’t for another two weeks might change that. Odds have it though, it will be Munchie Legaux who gives it a go under center. Legaux is a dual threat quarterback, but he isn’t the most proficient passer in the world, as he completed just 47.4 percent of his passes in his back-up chances.
Meanwhile, Vandy was a force to be reckoned with on the NCAA football gambling odds this year. The team nearly shocked the Florida Gators, Arkansas Razorbacks, and Georgia Bulldogs, and save for a loss at the Tennessee Volunteers on November 19th, there really wasn’t an awful result for the squad all season long. The win at the Wake Forest Demon Deacons by a 41-7 count in its final game of the season proved just how good Vandy really might have been this year had it not had to play that horrendous SEC schedule.
NCAA Football Odds Prediction – In the end, we don’t trust the Bearcats without Collaros. The ‘Dores are going to have home field advantage, and they should make it count for a game that they have to be more excited to play in than Cincinnati is. For what it’s worth, Vanderbilt is 2-0 SU and ATS all-time against the Bearcats. Look for both of those records to move to 3-0 come New Year’s Eve!

College Football Lines – Knights Look for SEC Scalp as Richt Puts Job on the Line in Liberty Bowl
Written by North Shore Sports, Inc.
Whether you prefer to bet on college football lines with mobile betting or on the internet, Bookmaker Sportsbook is your one stop shop for the entire 2010 NCAA football betting campaign, including for this duel between the UCF Knights and the Georgia Bulldogs in the Liberty Bowl.
NCAAF Betting Online: The bowl season kicks off at the Liberty Bowl for the Georgia Bulldogs as they take on the college football lines against UCF Knights at LP Field in Nashville, TN. Kickoff on Friday, December 31st is set for 3:30 ET in a nationally televised tussle on ESPN and ESPN3.com.
The Knights are playing in just their fourth bowl game in the history of the school, and they have a lot of work to do between their opening preparations and game day to beat the college football lines in this one. UCF won Conference USA for the second time and will be playing in its second Liberty Bowl. Its first go around was a 10-7 loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
The Knights’ offense has been up and down over the course of the last few weeks, scoring 21 points or fewer in two of the games and scoring 37 or more in the other two. Still, when push came to shove, this was an offense that averaged 33.8 points per game this year, and when you have a defense that averages 310.2 yards and 18.0 points per game over the course of the season, the offense can slip just a tad.
Jeff Godfrey has taken over for the injured Rob Calabrese this year, and the frosh is going to be playing in his first bowl game. Godfrey threw for 2,042 yards and rushed for 546 yards, combining for 23 TDs against six picks on the campaign.
The Bulldogs might have to beat the college football lines in this one in order to save the job of Head Coach Mark Richt. Richt has been under the gun all season long, as finishing .500 with the Dawgs just isn’t acceptable. However, getting the team to a bowl game is at least going to save him for a little while longer, but a loss here in the Liberty Bowl could be devastating.
Aaron Murray was one of the most underappreciated quarterbacks in the country this year, but for a freshman, he had a fantastic go of it. Murray threw for 2,851 yards and 24 TDs against six picks. He was helped out a ton this year by AJ Green from the point that he came back from a suspension for the first four games of the year. Green still led the team in receiving with 49 catches, 771 yards, and nine TDs.
The Liberty Bowl college football lines feature Georgia favored by 6.5 points with a total of 55.5. It seems awfully odd a Top 25 team is a pup to an unranked team that hasn’t been getting votes for the majority of the season. However, the Knights have already floundered once against an SEC team in the Liberty Bowl, and that’s going to be exactly what happens again, as the Bulldogs roll to a double digit ‘W’.
