PONISETTIA BOWL – Match up and Pick

San Diego County Credit Union PONISETTIA BOWL
#24 TCU Horned Frogs (10-2) vs. No Illinois Huskies (7-5)

TCU may be the nations 4th ranked run defense but has not faced a top tier running back all season. This week they will face Garrett Wolfe, the nation’s top rusher.
TCU gave up an average of 67.6 rushing yards this season to rank 4th in the country, only faced one running back who ran for at least 1,000 yards. TCU also has the nation’s ninth-ranked defense, allowing 249.5 total yards per game.
Northern Illinois top back Garrett Wolfe rushed for 1,900 yards and 18 touchdowns on 289 carries this season. His last two games he rushed for a combined 367 yards and had 4 touchdowns.
Wolfe is the Mid-American Conference offensive player of the year and now owns a school-record 5,136 yards and 52 touchdowns in his three-season career.
Northern Illinois has struggled with top 25 teams and must improve upon its 4-24 record against ranked teams. The Huskies have not faced an AP Top 25 opponent since a 35-12 loss at No. 1 Ohio State to open the season.
TCU quarter back Jeff Ballard looks to close his career with a 20-2 record. He’s been on fire lately finishing the last 3 games of the season completing 57 of 73 passes for 746 yards with seven touchdowns and no interceptions. The TCU offense ranks 17th in the nation with 404.5 yards per game.
Both teams have their work cut out for them.  Can TCU stop the nation’s top rusher?  Can No Illinois stop TCU’s passing attack?  We’ll find out on December 19th in San Diego.

Current odds:  TCU -12 and the total is 47

Pick:  Take TCU -12, TCU’s defense will slow Garrett Wolfe down enough to get plenty of offensive possessions.  No Illinois will not be able to stop TCU’s passing attack.

The biggest Looser – Update

Last Wednesday the competition continues as it was another tuff one in who will be the biggest looser and walk away with all the cash.  The trainers had went to go visit 2 schools to recruit some kids to join in on the biggest looser as we all know kids these days are being much to big for there ages and is very unhealthy for there lives.  Matt had visited some schools as well and Matt was the winner of the biggest looser last season and fell in love with one of the contestants and actually they got married.  Auhhhhhhh!!  He put back on some weight but he is still not as big as he was before.  They went into the school districts to see what they are actually serving kids these days and I was SHOCKED to see what they are serving at the schools these days.  Nothing fell under the daily food nutrient you are to be eating on a daily bases.  They had pizza with lots of grease on it, burgers, fries, chips, candy, cakes, sodas, all out in the open and the some what healthy food was in the refregirator “salads”.  Bob the trainer about fell down and couldn’t believe it, there was nothing on that menu that he would even put in his mouth and looking at all that grease they had on those foods, I wouldn’t put that in my mouth either.  I bet if all parents went to their kids schools and asked or went to go see what they served you just might be surprised on what you see are seeing.  Bob had picked out some kids and started to get them in the exercise program and get there sweat on.  Kim had did the same thing and picked some kids out and started them on a program as well.  It was very heart dropping to see what some of these kids go through in school in name calling and having friends and one day not having any because of your weight.  Not cool at all.  They had all the kids take blood pressure tests to see where they are at and if how bad it was.  Both trainers Bob and Kim were teaching them how to pick out food and what exercises to do to get the heart rate going and to see how there endurance was during all this.  I was out of breath just watching them as they really put them to the test.  It was funny to see Bob ask the questions to the cafeteria workers on there food selection for there kids. Some said they agree on having good foods severed and some said we put out what sells.  Bob was like o my god you guys some were nice and some really didn’t like to speak to him at all.  After, all that was said and done the trainers went back to the ranch to get things started there.  Bob had the perfect work-out for Erik his only blue team member left.  He had to drag bob on a stroller type item and bob sat on it and Erik dragged him for a while.  Kim was working on her group with Wylie, Heather and Kai.  Kim was a little upset with Heather and she was still nursing her injury but girl come on now no pain no game and it had been like 2 weeks so it wasn’t like she couldn’t just push herself.  After a while Kim walked away as Heather wouldn’t budge on things and Kai was there to help Kim feel better.  This time they had turned the tables and the trainers Bob and Kim became the students for the day and boy was it sooo funny to see this.  Both Kim and Bob running neck and neck with each other on everything and I must say Kim has a lot of spunk in her as she kept up with Bob.  It was time for a little pep talk and Matt and Suzy returned back to the ranch to talk to them about there weight losses and how important it is to stay focused on your health.  It came time for the weight in and the red team pulled numbers of 5 and 7 pounds lost and Bob was a bit worried because if Erik was below the yellow line he would stand a chance to go home and there would be no blue team members there so Erik really pushed himself to stay on top.  It was time for Erik to stand on the machine to see how much he lost and he lost another 12 pounds.  Yaa Erik good job he is still in the game.  They all went back home to finish up and tonight is the 2 hour season finale.  All 50 contestants return back to the ranch and all will be weighted in and who will be the BIGGEST LOOSER this season and walk away with some cash.  O I can wait till tonight to watch.  Stay tune on Thursday for the results of the show and who got crowed the biggest looser.

Dr. Phil – Heroin twins chapter closed

On the last episode we talked about both girls being monitored as Sarah is going through some painful withdrawal symptoms and is having a hard time dealing with it.  Dr. Phil gave them exercises to do like Art project and to see what was drawn was pretty sad as one drew a picture of a girl crying.  The all sat down for a family dinner and they haven’t done that in over 2 years and they enjoyed it.  Cindy has asked some questions about her past and her history of alcohol use that may have contributed to Tecoa’s heroin usage and comments made “could she be sabotaging her daughter’s road to recovery”.  After several weeks Sarah is beginning to emerge from her withdrawals and is getting ready to reunite with her sister Tecoa and the father they only knew Perry and they haven’t seen him since they were 12 years old.  Perry and his wife Rene also state why they cut ties with the girls and tried to comfort them.  The girls are getting some closure to this chapter in there life and want to continue to move on and stay in Rehabilitation center that Dr. Phil assigned to them all.  This was a sad in the house episode as the girls continue there road to recovery and hopefully there family will give them the support they need to remain strong.  Good luck to you girl and hope you have a bright future.
