NFL Week 8 Match ups and PICKS

Atlanta Falcons at Cincinnati Bengals

Both teams are coming off last minute hard fought wins. The Bengals bounced back from two consecutive losses got it done against the Panthers. The Falcons got it done against the defending Superbowl champs in an exciting 41-38 overtime win at home. It was a huge win for the Falcons and they are back in the NFC South race.
Michael Vick threw the ball down the field and looked really accurate and sharp last week and will have opportunities to stand in the pocket and throw down the field against a soft Bengals secondary. It’s hard to believe that we are talking about Michael Vick a pocket passer!

Carson Palmer got off to a slow start this season and was nowhere near producing last year’s breakout numbers. He looked and played great against the red hot Panthers team. His game winning drive in the fourth quarter was awesome!
This match up will come down to QB play which favors Carson Palmer,  I think he’s just the better QB and the fact that his WR’s are better helps.

Current Odds are Bengals -4.5 and the total is 43.5

Pick:  Take the Bengals -4.5, M Vick won’t play great two weeks in a row.

Baltimore Ravens at New Orleans Saints

Both teams are coming off much needed bye weeks.  Ravens quarterback Steve McNair was knocked out of his last game with a Grade 2 concussion and neck sprain.  McNair is scheduled to start unless his bean starts giving him problems

Ravens head coach Brian Billick fired his friend and offensive coordinator Jim Fassel and will take control of the play calling. With Fassel gone look for the Ravens to run the ball more often with Jamal Lewis.  He’s too big to only average 3 yards per carry.

New Orleans is rallying behind rookie coach Sean Payton, has done a great job balancing his weapons on offense, especially running backs Deuce McAllister and Reggie Bush. The balanced running game has giving QB Drew Bress time to throw the ball down the field. This offense is impressive and should be able to put up point on a very tough Ravens Defense.

Current Odds are Saints -2 and the total is 36.5

Pick: Take the Saints -2 and over the total.  Baltimore’s offense sucks.

Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans

The Texans are coming off their best performance of the season, and Gary Kubiak’s second victory already matches Houston’s win total from last season. David Carr and Andre Johnson are really producing this year behind Kubiak’s offense.

Tennessee returns from a bye week and are ready to get young QB Vince Young his second win of the season. Travis Henry is filling in for Chris Brown and is coming off a HUGE game. Young has shown the confidence and maturity that’s needed on the field.

Current Odds are Titans -3 and the total is 41.5

Pick: Take the Titans -3.  Vince Young is from Houston and has something to prove.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Philadelphia Eagles

Both teams are coming off big losses. Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb had two interceptions returned for a touchdown last week and a 62-yard field goal at the gun to lose the game. McNabb had a nightmare 2nd half and will bounce back.

The same cannot be said for Jaguars quarterback Byron Leftwich; he looked terrible last week and has a bum wheel. The guy couldn’t even move out there and should have been on the bench. His mobility may be limited all season and it may be a time to bring on a healthy David Garrard. Philadelphia’s aggressive defense may be too much for Leftwich.

Both teams have three losses and this is a must win for both squads

Current Odds are Eagles -6 and the total is 43
Pick: Bet the under 43.  Philly should jump out to an early lead and sit on it.

Seattle Seahawks at Kansas City Chiefs

This game is an all pro cast of injured players. Seattle Pro Bowl quarterback Matt Hasselbeck sprained his right knee and is expected to miss 2-4 weeks. Kansas City Pro Bowl quarterback Trent Green has been cleared to but won’t be ready for game action until mid-November. Seattle All-Pro running back Shaun Alexander broke his foot 4 weeks ago and he says he’s ready to play but the doctors won’t let him.

Back up quarterbacks Damon Huard – KC and Seneca Wallace – SEA, will battle it out and the QB with the best game should win.  Both teams are in trouble and another loss could be devastating. The Chiefs are on the way up and Seattle is on the way down in a hurry.

Look for KC to pound the ball with Larry Johnson and break down a Seattle Defense that just gave up 38 points to the Vikings.

Current Odds are Chiefs -6 and the total is 38.5

Pick: Bet the Chiefs -6.  They will thump the Sea Chickens at home

Arizona Cardinals at Green Bay Packers

Dennis Green returns to Lambeau Field with a warm weather team. Rumors out of Arizona are saying this is a must win for Dennis Green to keep his job. This team has talent and is not producing on either side of the ball.  They just got thumped by the Raiders.  Yeah the Raiders.

Rookie quarterback Matt Leinart is the only thing worth talking about in Arizona, the kid has game and can flat out play. This week, Leinart will get a good look at Brett Favre, the type of passer the he would love to be.

Favre is having a huge year, the reworked offensive line, better running game, and a new downfield go-to guy in rookie Greg Jennings. Favre is loving life right now.
I see this game being a shootout, Farve and Lineart will have big games, 4th quarter defense will determine the winner.

Current Odds are Packers -3.5 and the total is 44.5
Pick: Take the Packers -3.5 and bet over the total.  Dennis Green will lose his job this week

San Francisco 49ers at Chicago Bears

The Bears are coming off a much needed bye week. Arizona gave them all they could handle in Week 6 and should have beaten them. The Bears’ offense and defense both were outplayed and were lucky to escape with the MIRICLE victory.

The honeymoon is over for Rex Grossman; he completed 4 passes to the other team and lost two fumbles.  He flat out stunk up the field all day.

The 49ers also are coming off a bye and you can bet the watched the table against the Cardinals 50 times. Their offense is built much like the Cardinals and should have some success moving the ball.  With that being said, I think DA Bears will get back on track with a blowout win at home.

Current Odds are Bears -16.5 and the total is 41.5

Pick: Take the Bears -16.5.  Alex Smith will be running for his live all afternoon.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New York Giants

Tampa Bay is ridding high with two wins in a row against two potential playoff teams.  Both were last second victories and were both won with a rookie QB at the healm. Matt Bryant’s 62-yard field goal to beat the Eagles was amazing.
Tampa Bay head coach Jon Gruden has his squad just 3 games out of the division lead and are starting to talk playoffs again in Tampa Bay. The Buc’s defense has been playing great the last two weeks and will have their hands full when Eli Manning comes to town.

The Giants are now a half game ahead of the Eagles in the NFC East.  A Giants victory on Sunday will keep them in the hunt, a loss will be devastating because Philly has an easy match up this week.

Tiki Barber will be the difference maker in this game, if he can find room running the ball outside it will be a long day for the Bucs.  If the Bucs hope to win they need to stop the run pressure Eli Manning.  This will be a defensive battle.

Current Odds are Giants -9 and the total is 41

Pick: Take the Giants -9 and 41 with a 6 point 2 team teaser.  Tiki Barber runs for 125 yards with most of the yardage coming in the 4th quarter to protect the lead.

Saint Louis Rams at San Diego Chargers

The Chargers lost to the hated Chiefs 30-27 on a last-second field goal. To add salt to the wound Shawne Merriman, their best defender, tested positive for steroids and will be suspended for 4 games. The only thing in their favor this week is they will be playing at home.

The Rams tied for first in the NFC West and are sitting at 4-2 on the season. The Rams are coming off a bye week and will be ready for the Chargers. The Chargers D will have its work cut out for them without Merriman; The Rams know this and will look to pound the ball inside with Steven Jackson.  I smell an upset!

Current Odds are Chargers -9.5 and the total is 45
Pick: Take the Rams +9.5.  They are playing too well to lose by 10¼br

Indianapolis Colts at Denver Broncos

Two elite teams get it on in Denver in what could be a preview of the AFC Championship Game. The Colts passing attack led by Peyton Manning is on fire.  They more than made up for the loss of Edge in the off season.

The Colts will face their toughest challenge to date Sunday against the Broncos top rated defense. They stop the run and slow down the passing game. It will be interesting to see if the Broncos can stop the Indy passing game.

The Broncos will have to break away from conservative offensive approach this Sunday if they want to win the game. Denver will need to score about 24 points to win the game. Indy is too good at protecting leads. Jake Plummer will have to step up his game and get the ball down field to Javon Walker to keep up with the Colts.  This is a must see game and perhaps the best match up on week 8.

Current Odds are Broncos -3 and the total is 39.5
Pick: Take the Broncos -3 and bet the over 39.5. Nobody wins in Denver, not even the Colts.

New York Jets at Cleveland Browns

The Jets and Browns we both poor teams last year. Cleveland is still in the dumps and New York is off to a good start behind QB Chad Pennington’s repaired arm.  Everyone though Chad was DONE!  Don’t believe it, he is putting up Pro-Bowl type numbers this year.

The Browns have been terrible this year, Ruben Droughns has been a disappointment and so has the entire offense. The offensive coordinator just got the boot and head coach Romeo Crennel and assistant Jeff Davidson will do all the play calling for the rest of the season. Will that create a spark for a team that desperately needs one?  I doubt it.

Current Odds are Browns -2.5 and the total is 38

Pick: Take the Jets +2.5.  The Jets should be favored.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Oakland Raiders

Ben Roethlisberger banged up his bean on Sunday and had to hand the ball over to Charlie Batch.  Batch came in and moved the ball at will against the tough Atlanta Defense.  He looked better than Big Ben has all year. He should get the start this week and should have a huge day. The Steelers need to win and should be able to get it done in Oakland.

The Raiders are fresh off their first victory of 2006 as they beat Arizona 22-9. Rookie QB Andrew Walter left Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury but will be good to go this Sunday.  The rookie QB will take over for the rest of the season and Aaron Brooks will back him up when he’s healthy. This Sunday will be a tough test for the rookie QB.  The Steelers defense is better than they showed last week in Atlanta.

That being said, the Steelers should dish out an old fashion whipping.

Current Odds are Steelers -9 and the total is 38.5

Pick: Take the Steelers -9.  Oakland is the worse team in the NFL¼br /> Dallas

Cowboys at Carolina Panthers

The Cowboys and Panthers were preseason favorites to play for the NFC Championship. Now both teams are average and are faced with must-win situation. Both teams already have three losses, including two against NFC foes, which could become significant come playoff tiebreaker time. A fourth loss Sunday night be fatal
Coach Bill Parcells finally heard enough boos and benched veteran Drew Bledsoe in favor of crowd favorite third year back up Tony Romo. Romo came in and completed his first pass to the wrong team. He went on to throw 2 more int’s and a pair of touch down passes. Not bad?  Better than Drew?  I’m not buying it

Carolina had won four in a row before last week’s heartbreaking loss at Cincinnati. On third-and-goal and down by three, quarterback Jake Delhomme completed a pass in the end zone to the wrong team and lost the game.  Don’t count on that happening again.

This is a tough game to pick, both squads are carbon copies of each other and Dallas has more talent on paper. Quarterback play will decide this game. Romo will start for the Cowboys.

Current Odds are Carolina -5   and the total is 41

Pick: Take Carolina -5.  Starting Romo over Bledsoe is a mistake.

New England Patriots at Minnesota Vikings

The Patriots are quiet 5-1 going about their business with a bunch of no name offensive skill players supporting Tom Brady. Brady has had to be creative on offense utilizing his TE’s and possession receivers regularly. The loss of Deion Branch was a big unnecessary mistake.

Veteran Corey Dillon and rookie Laurence Maroney have provided a nice balance of power and speed in the running game and have given Tom Brady time to find open receivers in down the field. The lack of a go to receiver limits Tom Brady’s production.

The Vikings are on fire!  The defense has been awesome and the offense is moving the ball consistently. Running back Chester Taylor has been the work horse and Quarter back Brad Johnson has been protecting the ball.  They destroyed the defending NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks last week and will be looking to make a statement against the Patriots.

Current Odds are Patriots -2 and the total is 38.5

Pick: Take Patriots -2.  The Pat’s are 5-1, enough said.

Dr. Phil’s house of hatred – week 1

The Dr. Phil’s house has guest and they are 6 different people that will be living together and none of these people even know each other.  Here is a brief description of the 6 people.

Tessa is 19 and is also gay and is being put in the room with Christina 22 who is a straight person and doesn’t feel good about it one bit.  Christina hates and fears homosexuals and thinks they deserve to go to hell.  “okayyyyyyyy”  She also feels that it’s a chemical imbalance and doesn’t think they come with it when they are born.  Here is Tessa who hates straight people and calls them breeders.  She also thinks they are self centered and self righteous and dum.  She has been refused privileges in holding a baby because they think she will turn them gay “come on now, lets get real” she also loves to tell straight people off and she is losing her friends because of her anger against straight people.

John 24 who is over 600 pounds and hates thin people and he will be bucking with Staci 22 who hates fat people.  Staci, feels big people are smelly, lazy and just yuckie.  She would rather be done with herself if she ever got fat.  “grow up” she also wants to be a voice for America against fat people.  “who left and made you queen”.  If she ever had a child she would fear the day they became fat.  Now John, hates skinny people and doesn’t think he can trust a thin person.  They only car about themselves “ O john not all are the same”.  He cant fit into his shower or behind the wheel of a car and sleeps sitting up.  O my has to be uncomfortable.

Gary “White supremacist” does not like black people and he is bucking with “B”.  Gary states that people that are not white need to go back to there country and stay there.  Gary has been in and out of jail for a total of 10 times all for getting in fights with blacks.  “what a JA”  and his favorite word is the “L” word “shame on you Gary”.  He has two daughters that also say racial slurs and his wife fights with him daily about his racism.  Gary shame on you for teaching your kids those words and teaching them about racism, its just not right”.  His wife has put her foot down and if he doesn’t change she will leave him.  “leave him” not worth him teaching your daughters about things like this.  “B” the 58 year old lady that he will share rooms with hates white people and says they are “sociopaths” well you are to for thinking the way you do.  Resents black males that date white women and she feels anger everyday about it and she also sued her x-employer for discrimination “wow watch out for this one”  she also wants white people to know that life came from Africa.

Now you have know a little bit about all the people that will be staying in the house and the first day of meeting each other it sure was drama 187 cracking there.  Gary fought with Miss “B” and Staci sure does speak her mind.  Miss “B” came out and was upset she had to clean up after everyone and said she will do it this one time and that is it.  Staci took offense to it and got in B’s face and goy was it funny.  Staci said she cleaned her mess and put her plate in the sick thinking after everyone was done they would clean it all at once.  Miss “B” got back into her face and put her finger in Staci’s face and told her “like I said, clean your mess and I am only going to say it once”.  WOW sounds like a mother”.  Staci called her a bit__” and didn’t have to come off that way.  After those two little tiff, the rest of the people felt the same way as Staci saying Miss “B” doesn’t run the show.  There was a task for people to do and that was to clean up.  John wasn’t cleaning and Tessa got on him to clean up and take a shower and he refused.  Tessa holds his dinner and John gets on the phone and makes arrangements to leave.  “Saying my rich mother’s boyfriend will get me out of here”.  John gets a long with Gary because he is the only one talking to him in the house.  Doesn’t agree with his right of things, but gets along with him.  The first day being in the house everyone got into there arguments on things.  This episode of in the Dr. Phil house is going to be a good one.  Stay tune till next Monday 30th for an update on this.

The Bachelor Week 3

Desiree was sent home and now it’s down to Agness, Lisa, Jennifer and Sadie.  Some of the girls that have been sent home pretty much say that Lisa heart is not in it and hopes Lorenzo sees her for what she really is and if he doesn’t its his fault.  Even the girls that are still remaining don’t like Lisa at all either.  “It look’s like Lisa has got to go”.

Lorenzo wanted Sadie to know that it’s okay with him that she is a virgin and he admires it and it’s about her and not her sexuality.  He feels that Sadie has a different feel to her and is someone he would love to wake up to, relax with and she takes things as they are and that’s what he likes about her.  Well its sounds like the other girls have to watch out for Sadie as Lorenzo is really into Sadie.  Of course the fans are still saying Lorenzo kissing is just out there and he might be a virgin looking at the way he kisses.  O boy it’s getting good.  If Lorenzo doesn’t end up with any girl, there are lots out there that would be more then happy to come on in and test those waters even though the kissing might be a bit wet but all is good.  There are also rumors out there that fans are upset with ABC’s pick for the bachelor this season as they feel they picked the wrong guy.  Poor Lorenzo just can’t get a break.  Some love Lorenzo but every body has their own comments and personnel I like him.  Hope he finds LOVEEEEEE on the show.  Stay tune to next week and see who stays and who goes home.

Dancing with the stars – week 7

Who will go and who will stay!!! Last week Jerry and Joey got lucky and no one was sent home this week, since last week 1 was eliminated and 1 left the show.  Here is what some of the critics are saying:  Vivica did not deserve to go and Sara’s last performance was not good, and fans are ignoring the people that should be staying and keeping there favorite ones in the game.  “isn’t that the name of the game here”!!  I agree on Vivica as she was really good in her dancing and gave it her all, but I’m sure people didn’t know she can get her grove on.  She was a good sport about and kept her head held high and that alone is a great women.  Jerry Springer is always fun to watch because it’s like being at a wedding and watching the father daughter dance!!! Auhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Stay tune tonight to see who will go home.  Last week in the bottom two were Jerry and Joey.  Let’s see what happens tonight.

The biggest Looser – Week 6

Gesh as the weeks go on they just more drama drama.  Well finally the blue team wins a contest, Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! But they lost the weight in and had to send someone home.  This week the gym was closed and they had to use what was around the Ranch as there workout.  Bob had discussed with Amy that she has to step up her game a bit if she wanted to win and win the weight in and or not get eliminated.  We all know the girls of the red team are not big fans of Amy especially Kai from the red team and her looks.  Kim had her red team running up stairs, push ups on the stairs.  Bob was having problems with Erik from the blue team and it was time for a one on one talk with him to see what the deal is with him.  I know he is a very emotional guy and cry’s a lot and Erik is very discouraged about his weight but stick to it Erik you will be okay.  After there work-outs Kim and Bob decided to take them out to lunch and how to order when you are out and about.  You should have seen there faces when they went to the food court.  Holly molly, all that good smell, it sure was temping but they made some mistakes but did well.

After lunch is all down they went off to the LA Coliseum for the next challenge.  Both teams had to run across the field and complete a series of waves and not just 1 it was a lot.  The team that wins gets a $2500.00 dollars worth of work-out clothes.  Well that’s good.  I want that to.  The red team was mad they lost especially Pam “she is the running next and next with Kai on being drama queens.  I mean DRAMAAAAAAAAAA.  I’m sure they mean well, but come on now, getting a little personnel with things.  They also surprised them with “The author of the biggest looser, Devin”.  She taught them how to make pizza and hamburgers but healthy ones. They all loved it and learned something new and so did I.  Those burgers sure looked Yumo!!!  They had half a day for a last chance work-out before the weight in came.  At the weight in the red team did well and lost good weight, but the blue team was shy 3 points from winning.  They let Amy go home so now it’s just the boys remaining on the blue team.  This week was not so much tear dropping and negativity as the last weeks had and more weight is being dropped.  Stay tune till next Wednesday where another person gets eliminated and who will win the contest.

Dancing with the stars – week 6

There sure is lot’s going on in one of the contestants, but first onto who stayed and who went.  Emmitt Smith is sure stepping it up and looking really really good.  Mario has some compation out there with Joey as well.  Emmitt had some nice and really smooth moves on this week and really stepped it up.  The judges are loving him and so are the fans.  Mario is still a favorite in the fan base and has finally won the judges and didn’t get any bad things said. WOW that’s a first.  His dancing this week was so good and I just love the way he moved on the dance floor, but we all really would like to know about that romance.  Is there something between those two??? They are not coming clean on it, but time will tell.  Jerry Springer’s dancing this week; well let’s just say stick to the day time series.  You know “Jerry Jerry Jerry” got love it.  Joey’s dancing still is looking good and the judges like him as well this week.  Man its sure going to be a tuff choose as Emmitt, Joey and Mario are the favorites and have huge fan base.  Monique is still in it and is dancing her heart out and is looking good as well, but not as the rest of the men are doing.  Let’s see what happened.  Onto Sara Evans having to drop out of the competition due to marital situation.  She is currently going through a bitter divorce and her nanny is coming off with lots of states like “sara and I were battling anorexia, starving themselves and so on”. Sara is stating that her friend and nanny had an affair with her husband and she is denying it.  Sara and her husband have been married for 13 years and are now ending it.

Stay tune next week and see who goes home and who stays.  Good luck to Sara Evans

Week 7 NFL Football Match ups

Detroit Lions at New York Jets
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (FOX), Giants Stadium

The Lions got their first win of the season by holding on to a 4th quarter lead and held off the Bills. The Lions are better team than their record indicates; hopefully this win will get them on a roll.
The Jets are coming off a win and look to have things going steady. Both teams will focus on star receivers, Detroit’s Roy Williams and the Jets’ Laveranues Coles, both these guys are having career years and it’s not by accident. Chad Pennington and John Kitna are hitting these guys down the field on a regular basis. The defensive coordinators in this game will be in for a long day.  Both teams are headed for bye weeks and would love to go in on a roll.

The Jets are an early 3.5 point favorite. Click here for current odds

Green Bay Packers at Miami Dolphins
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (FOX), Dolphins Stadium
Both teams only have one win on the season and desperately need another. The Dolphins come off home loss to the Jets. The Packers had a bye week to figure out how to put a couple of wins in a row together. ¼br /> The Dolphins have just been bad this year; they don’t look anything like the team that finished last season on a six-game winning streak. Daunte Culpepper has been a bust and Joey Harrington has taken over while Daunte is carrying his clipboard.
The Packers are in a rebuilding mode, and quarterback Brett Favre is getting older and less accurate down the field. Greg Jennings the surprise rookie has given Brett a chance to get down the field.  Both teams are in a tail spin and only one will come out with a win, the other should start playing their future players.

Miami is an early 4.5 point favorite.  Click here for current odds

Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS), Reliant Stadium
Two AFC South foes get it on in Houston on Sunday. The Texans had their rear end handed to them in Dallas and gave up 31 unanswered points in the second half. Passing up on Reggie Bush is coming back to haunt them.
Jacksonville had their by week and are ready to take the field. The Jags handed the Jets an old fashion ass whipping to the tune of 41-0. Both teams are hard to figure out.  The Jags pitched a shut out against the Jets and gave up 36 points to Washington in an overtime loss.  The Texans just lost the battle for Texas in Dallas and look like they are done!

Jacksonville is an early 10 point favorite. Click here for current odds

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS), Ralph Wilson Stadium
The Patriots are in the driver’s seat for another AFC East division title and are coming off a bye week. A win in Buffalo should wrap up the division.  Home field advantage will be the only thing the Patriots will be playing for.
The Bills will be looking for revenge. The Patriots handed them an opening day loss in New England in a close game. The Patriots running game was the difference.  The Bills are banged up on defense and will need back up players to step it up if the want to get this home win.
The Bills lost last week to the Detroit Lions to add to a two game losing streak. Someone other than J.P. Losman needs to step up and make plays if the Bills want to avoid a three game losing streak and to have any hope of salvaging the season.

New England is an early 5.5 point favorite. Click here for current odds

Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (FOX), Raymond James Stadium
The Buccaneers rallied to defeat Cincinnati for their first victory with a last-second field goal and the Eagles were beaten by a last-second field goal in New Orleans.  Both were tough physical games.
The Eagles will be looking to get back on track behind the arm of MVP candidate Donovan McNabb. The Eagles passing attack is amongst the leagues best.  TO who?
The Bucs will look to rally behind rookie quarterback Bruce Gradkowski. Cadillac Williams seems to be hitting stride after a slow start and the Bucs will be looking for a second home win in a row and make a run at the NFC South Division Title.

Philadelphia is an early 5 point favorite. Click here for current odds

Carolina Panthers at Cincinnati Bengals
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (FOX), Paul Brown Stadium
The Bengals stared out the season at 3-0 and looked to be the class of the AFC division. Two consecutive losses including last week to previously winless Tampa Bay with a rookie quarterback, the Bengals now trail Baltimore in the AFC North and will have to battle the rest of the way to even think of sniffing the playoffs.
Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer has not been as productive as he was last year and All Pro wide out Chad Johnson has only one end zone dance in 2006. The Bengals need a win to get back on track and will have their hands full with the red-hot Carolina Panthers. ¼br /> The Panthers lost their first two games and were written off in the NFC South.  Atlanta and New Orleans both got off to hot starts. All Carolina needed was their ALL Pro wide out Steve Smith to come back from a hamstring injury and the Panthers haven’t lost since.

Cincinnati Bengals are an early 3 point favorite. Click here for current odds

Pittsburgh Steelers at Atlanta Falcons
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS), Georgia Dome
The Steelers beat down the Kansas City 45-7 on Sunday and is back in the AFT Central Division race. The Ravens were thumped by Panthers and left the door open for the Bengals and Steelers to challenge for the division. Pittsburgh will have its hands full and must focus on stopping the Falcons’ potent running game and the league’s most exciting player, Michael Vick.
Last week, Atlanta got roughed up and beat down by the Giants. Vick was sacked seven times and fumbled once in a 27-14 loss. The Falcons were still able to run the ball for 223 yards. Pittsburgh must stop the run if they want to keep pace with the Bengals and Ravens.
Atlanta just needs to keep doing what is working, run the ball with Warrick Dunn and Michael Vick. Nobody in the league has come close to shutting down the run.  The Steelers are run stoppers so something has to give.

Pittsburgh is an early 2.5 point favorite. Click here for current odds

San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS), Arrowhead Stadium
This will be another intense AFC West match up. The Chiefs got beat down by the Steelers and will need a win to get back to .500. The Chargers’ are on a roll and look to be the class of the AFC behind new starting QB Phillip Rivers.
The Chiefs have been inconsistent behind new Head Coach Herm Edwards. They need to get back to basics and run the ball behind Larry Johnson. 30+ carries for Johnson should keep them in the game.
This game showcases two of the game’s most exciting running backs, LaDainian Tomlinson and Larry Johnson, and two of the game’s elite tight ends, Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzalez. The team that gets the better production from its respective offensive pair will win.

San Diego is an early 5 point favorite. Click here for current odds

Denver Broncos  at Cleveland Browns
Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS), Cleveland Browns Stadium
The Broncos just keep regardless on how good or bad Jake Plummer plays. The defense is one of the NFL’s best; they have been getting turnovers for the offense and have been giving the offense opportunities to make plays. The running game is hitting stride with Tatum Bell getting the bulk of the work.  This team is for real even without a good QB.
Cleveland is one of the leagues worse offenses. Running back Reuben Droughns is a bust, they must now rely on their young QB quarterback Charlie Frye. The coaching staff must find a way to get tight end Kellen Winslow and wide receiver Braylon Edwards more involved in the offense. The play-calling must keep the Broncos off guard or they will get slaughtered.

Arizona Cardinals at Oakland Raiders
Sunday, 4:15 p.m. ET (FOX), Network Associates

The battle of the basement gets underway in Oakland on Sunday.   Both teams are very similar.  Good offensive weapons and terrible defenses.  This should be a fun game to watch.
The Matt Lienart era is underway in Arizona and the team really believes in their Rookie QB. Lienart played very well against the NFL’s top defense.  He looked more like a 5 year QB than a rookie. This kid is the real deal. Wins should be coming soon.
As for the Raiders, they should turn the page on the playbook.  The one they are using from the 70’s is outdated and so is the ownership.  Al Davis and his puppet Art Shell need to go. The product they put on the field is a slap in the face to the loyal fans.¼br /> Arizona will bounce back from a devastating loss on Monday night. The Raiders will look to pound the ball behind Lamont Jordan.  This should be interesting.

Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks
Sunday, 4:15 p.m. ET (FOX), Qwest Field
The Seahawks are coming off an amazing last-second, come-from-behind victory at St. Louis, remaining undefeated in the NFC West. What a shootout! They are making a statement that they are the team to beat in the NFC without being at full strength. MVP Shawn Alexander is still out with a broken foot. The Vikings are another playoff caliber team looking to stay on track for post season play. We will see how good they really are on Sunday.
Seattle will look for a balanced attack in the first half of the game and then open it up with the passing game in the second half.  That formula has been working and they will stick to it.
The Vikings will rely on the defense to keep them in the game with good field position. The Vikings have a balanced offense that controls the ball.  They will need the defense to play well to stay in this game.

Seattle is an early 6.5 point favorite.  Click here for current odds

Washington Redskins at Indianapolis Colts
Sunday, 4:15 p.m. ET (FOX), RCA Dome
The Redskins started the season with Super Bowl aspirations; they are now in the NFC East basement and are three games under .500 and travel to the Colts on Sunday….OUCH
The Redskins playoff hopes fading fast and another loss may lead to immediate roster changes. Mark Brunell has been terrible; his age has definitely caught up with him. They my have to look to second year quarterback Jason Campbell.
The Redskins defense is a bigger disappointment and defensive coordinator Gregg Williams will need to find answers against the powerful Colts offense or will have to find another job.
The Colts are 5-0 and sit on top of the AFC. This is no surprise even with Edgerrin James heading to Arizona in the off season.  The Colts will look to focus more on defense if they plan on getting to the super bowl this year.

Indianapolis is an early 9 point favorite. Click here for current odds

New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys
Monday, 8:30 p.m. ET (ESP), Texas Stadium
Bill Parcells will host his former team who he led to two Super bowl titles. He will be looking to do the same with the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys are playing well on both sides of the ball and Terrell Owens seems to pick up where he left off in Philly, on the field that is. Look for Drew Bledsoe to have a big game against the Giants soft pass defense. Drew really needs another big game to get rid of the boo’s he’s been getting at home.
Eli Manning, Tiki Barber and the Giants roll into Monday Night Football looking to stay undefeated in the NFC East. The Giants offense is balanced and is definitely in high gear. They will have their work cut out for them against a speedy and physical Cowboys defense. The winner here should win the division.

The Cowboys are an early 3 point favorite. Click here for current odds

Angelina and Brad in India – DRAMA

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitts trip to India is sure stirring up problems.  Why cant you pep’s let the Celebes live.  Gosh they are filming a movie and they can’t even get a break.  Now a second photographer is stating he was seriously threatened by there security guards.  O boy here comes the “I want money for this and that, because they did that to me”.  Get a grip you popzi.  When they are filming a movie what do you expect when you got intruders up in the spot?  Everyone is saying not cool hope it doesn’t happen again or someone doesn’t get hurt.  No one wishes to for someone to get hurt, but if photographers would give the people respect in letting them film a movie there would be no problems.  “Would there????”  We will see what more happens as they will be there for a while filming the new movie that man is producing.

Lindsay Lohan got Served

Tuesday 17, 2006

Lindsay Lohan sure knows how to be in the spot light.  This poor girl just can’t get a break from the Popsi, who are always up in someone’s business.  Lindsay was at the 21st Annual American Cinematheque Awards horning George Clooney.  On her way out of the function a women came over to her and thought she was asking for an autograph.  Lindsay said you’re my first autograph and the lady said those WORDS “you’ve been served” Ouch, holy shit”.  Of course Lindsay was very upset and dropped the papers and ran after the lady that served her.  Lindsay has to now appear in court as a witness in her mother’s law suit.  Producers Antonio Almeida and Mitchell Chait are suing Dina Lohan is being sued for thousands of dollars for violation of contract, fraud, theft, and other violations.  Wow this family just can’t get a break.  I have to admit Lindsay sure is a strong girl considering her mother and father are hardly there for her and she pretty much takes care of her little sister.  More to come on this story as it all start to unfold.

The Bachelor 9th Edition – Week 2

More girls got sent home last night and its starting to heat up.  The 6 girls that are remaining are Agnese, Desiree, Jeanette, Jennifer, Lisa, Sadie.  The group trips are getting steaming and the beach trip sure was a nice one.  Got to see the prince without a shirt “that’s always nice”.  The majority in favor is with Agnese as they think she is classy and elegant.  Some say Sadie in her “Flaunting of ‘I’m a virgin” doesn’t make you sexy and I would have to agree.  Your sexual interested should be kept behind doors and not make it a topic for discussion.  That was her big down fall and looking at Lorenzo expression he would think so to.  Come on Sadie, keep it to yourself.  For Lisa I really don’t think she is all there with it.  She has this certain look to her that says “it’s a game”.  The kissing part of this, now Lorenzo kissed Agneses and it looked like he was going to swallow her.  WOW he got a big smacker on him and all that slop “don’t know if I can go for that”.  “open wide” here comes the train”  Erica got sent home and she said he was a dumb “you know what” and other said his nose gets in the way.  Hello “Italian”.  Lots of smack talking on Lorenzo on his kissing techniques.  At this time I really don’t see any connection with any of the girls he has left but Agnese is in the running.  A few comments from the girls that didn’t get a rose!!!

Ellen – He said I was the only girl that said “your hear for the right reasons” and got a little confident but didn’t a rose.  “ITS ALL GOOD” She said.

Kim – She thought there was chemistry and didn’t feel she was getting a rose.  No hard feelings.  She had fun.

Sarah – The only thing I am going to miss is the girls and the friends she made.  No hard feelings here.  Stay tune next Monday to see more slopping kissing.  Only 6 remains left and who will it be!!!!
