Both teams were all geared up and ready to go. Ken from the red team a phone call that his son had been admitted to ICU and people were just not in good moods after that call. Ken stayed positive on the situation and kept on trucking “GO KEN”.
Both teams had arrived on the beach driving nice sweet classic sports cars “can I drive”. Once they had gotten there, they all realized they were going to work HARD. Bob and Kim had their teams doing everything from getting down on and crawling in the sand to lifting heavy items.
They ran across the beach to see what was waiting for them and it was sand castles! Now each castle had either carrot stick, candy bar or an immunity card hidden in it. The teams had to dig to find the immunity card. Both teams felt pretty much the same way and just both walked away and wanted to earn it. “yaaaaaaa” They returned back and kim and bob were very happy.
The teams were faced with another challenge; the winning team was allowed to receive a care package from their families back home. After almost an hour of piling wet sand from the beach, Nelson accidentally jumped on Wylie’s shoulder, causing an injury. Nelson was sure funny on all his falling down parts, but Red Team still won the and got to open up the packages. It was very emotional for all of them as some cried and some cried even more.
The Blue Team was very disappointed in them selves for losing the challenge – they really wanted to win it, but so did the red team. Bob wanted them to move forward and be determined at the weigh in. They went to the gym and got there work-out on and got rid of all that frustrations they had in them.
Since the Red Team won the last challenge, they got to choose somebody on the Blue Team to remove for the weigh in. They had chosen Erik, because he had lost a lot of weight this week – they didn’t want his weight loss to be the Blue Team’s gain. Erik was a good choice, because he lost 16 pounds!
Melinda had lost only four pounds during her weigh in. she smiled but was a little disappointed with the small number. Bobby was the last person to get on the scale for the Blue Team. They were nervous about how much weight they had lost until it was revealed that Bobby had shed a total of 12 pounds! It was official: Bobby was no longer in the 300-pound range anymore.
The Blue Team was celebrating because they had lost a total of 55 pounds and a grand total of 3.34% of weight loss. Keeping in mind the team with the highest percentage of weight loss would be the one who won the challenge.
Pam was the first member of the Red Team to get weighed. She was a nervous wreck. When she found out she’d lost six pounds, she was very happy. But at the same time, she confided to the team that she wished her family were there to see how much weight she was losing.
The Blue Team begin to act a little nervous when they noticed how successful the Red Team was – especially when Nelson got on the scale and he’d lost a total of 15 pounds! The Red Team was ecstatic.
Kai was happy, she lost 12 pounds, and her entire team was happy for that. Ken had lost a total of 20 pounds “WOW” at his weigh in, and the red team wins the weigh-in challenge. Ken started to cry because he thought of his son in intensive care and wanted to make him proud. In the end, the Red Team lost a total of 79 pounds, or 4.60% weight loss.
Because Marty had the highest percentage of weight loss from the Blue Team, he was granted immunity so he is safe when it comes time for elimination.
Kim returned in the morning to see how her team had done and they were going to play a joke on her, but couldn’t hold it in. Kim was sooooooo happy. Bob was a little upset because they had worked so hard but Bob as always motivates to stay strong.
Tiffany was the one that got sent home, but she was a good sport and understood why. She did promise everyone that she will continue her weight loss program would never give up. YOU GO GIRL!!!
