It’s the ultimate event of the year with the original Ultimate Fighter, Forrest Griffin defending his title against “Sugar” Rashad Evans. Then the Ultimate Fighter coaches face off as Interim World Heavyweight Champion, Antonio ufc 92 UFC 92: The Ultimate 2008 Betting Odds and Picks“Minotauro” Nogueira takes on former heavyweight champion, Frank Mir. Plus, two of the hardest hitting light heavyweights go toe-to-toe when Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva battles former light heavyweight champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

Gamblerspalace.com is proud to offer all of the odds on the most stacked fight card of the year, including the untelevised fights.  My picks for the 3 big fights and the betting lines for all fights of the night are listed below.

Main Event

Light Heavyweights
Forrest Griffin -130 (risk $130 to win $100)
“Sugar” Rashad Evans Ev (risk $100 to win $100)
My Pick:  Evans is undefeated and coming off of a flawless knockout of Chuck Liddell.  He has proven that he is fast enough to standup and catch opponents with the KO as well as agile enough to go to the ground and look for the submission.  Griffin is no doubt as tough as they come, but I don’t knwo how he is going to react to Evans’ standup attack.  Everyone doubted Evans in the Liddell fight and he was a huge underdog, only the wise such as myself got down on the 2 -1 money and cashed in on the KO.  The line is much more realistic this time and at even money he is still a steal.  It won’t be easy, but I think Evans keeps the undefeated streak alive tonight.  Bet the farm on Evans.

Heavyweights
Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira -360 (risk $360 to win $100)
Frank Mir +235 (risk $100 to win $235)

My Pick:  Frank Mir is coming back into his own after coaching the latest season of Ultimate Fighter and at more than two to one you have to at least put some fun money down on him as is the case with any hand to hand fight.  Minotauro has weaknesses, I can remember a few years ago when he was all but finished off by Heath Herring who in a block headed move allowed Nogueira to get up after an astounding jab that leveled him and opened the door for a KO, but he pissed it down his leg in the end and Nogueira narrowly escaped with the decision.  Point is that you can’t lay money on -360, its not worth it and the guy has a soft jaw.  Mir will should try to standup and punch it out with him instead of going to the ground, but we will see.  If they box, I think Mir levels him.  Take the dog, the payoff is too big to ignore.

Light Heavyweights
Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva-145 (risk $145 to win $100)
Quinton “Rampage” Jackson +115 (risk $100 to win $115)
My Pick:  Hands down this is a Rampage vistory.

Middleweights
CB Dolloway -180 (risk $180 to win $100)
Mike Massenzio +140 (risk $100 to win $140)

Heavyweights
Cheick Kongo -330 (risk $330 to win $100)
Mustapha Al-Turk +250 (risk $100 to win $250)

Middleweights
Yushin Okami -380 (risk $380 to win $100)
Dean Lister +255 (risk $100 to win $255)

Heavyweights
Antoni Hardonk -360 (risk $360 to win $100)
Mark Burch +235 (risk $100 to win $235)

Light Heavyweights
Matt Hamill -410 (risk $410 to win $100)
Resse Andy +260 (risk $100 to win $260)

Welterweights
Ryo Chonan -165 (risk $165 to win $100)
Brad Blackburn +130 (risk $100 to win $130)

Heavyweights
Dan Evanson +165 (risk $100 to win $165)
