Northern Illinois Huskies vs Louisiana Tech Bulldogs
Independence Stadium
Shreveport, La.
Sunday, Dec. 28
ESPN, 8:15 p.m. ET
Spread: Northern Illinois -1.5
Total: 47.5
My Pick: Neither of these teams are particularly interesting, the Huskies at 6-6 behind freshman QB Chandler Harnish has struggled to find consistency having lost 3 of their last 4 games. They will need to mix it up on offense between RB Me’co Brown on the ground and then get the ball to WR Marcus Perez on the flat to exploit the shaky Bulldog defense that has been giving up alot of points lately. The Bulldogs will rely on Junior RB Daniel Porter to carry the heavy load who up to the last game of the season was very efficient. If he can shake off that last game he should be effective as the Huskies D is nothing to brag about. They will pass when they have to, but I think they have to depend on their defense to tighten up a bit they should be fine. At -1.5 with the Bulldogs having a home field advantage you have to go with the home team. Give the points.
