My Pick: There was only 20 minutes left and the Tide was riding a 20-17 lead over Miami and on their way to the National Championship and then…they pissed it down their legs.  It was expected as Florida was the favorite despite the Tides flawless record.  Now Nick Saben’s team faces a flawless Mountain West Champion in the Utes who have been untouchable behind the arm of QB Brian Johnson with his 2600 yards passing, 24 TD’s and 68% completion rate.  The Utes spread the ball out and get everyone a touch so its hard to key on one guy, their defense has been their strongest weapon and keeps the pressure off of the offense to let them just go out and play instead of having to play catch up.  The Tide is going to have to be more aggressive with John Parker Wilson and air it out to WR Julio Jones more often instead of relying on Glen Coffee and his 6.1 ypc average, because he will not be running freely against the Utes D.  The Tide has more bowl victories than any other school on record and especially in the Sugar Bowl they thrive which is part of the reason the spread is so high.  I think they run into problems like they had with the Gators.  10.5 is way too high, Bama may win, but they won’t cover that spread.  Take the points before it comes down.
