NFL Thursday Night Football brings a challenge between Miami Dolphins with a record of 4-5 and a road record of 1-3 against Carolina Panthers with the same record (4-5) and a home record of 2-2. This could be a game that decides the future of both teams. This is a key game for Carolina if they want to climb up in their division and may be squeezed in to the Wild Card Race, may be the Dolphins will provide the opportunity.

Miami Dolphins have ran the Wildcat offense all year long and they have accomplished alot, although they are far from what they expected for this season. Now the situation is they just lost the anchor of that offense, RB Ronnie Brown. Brown hurt his right ankle in the third quarter, limped off the field assisted by teammates and later hobbled to the locker room, where he watched the end of Miami’s 25-23 win. This could mean that the second string Running Back can take care of the Wildcat offense but that is not so easy to do, it takes a lot to run like Ronnie Brown and it might take more than what the coach thinks, this could be the end of the Wildcat Dolphins as we know them this season. As in this moment Brown appears as questionable, some X-rays later on will determine his participation in thursday night game, looks like the Dolphins need a little miracle to be able to compete with the Panthers. QB Chad Henne will be forced to use RB Ricky Williams and to throw it to WR Davone Bess and WR Greg Camarillo, that is not that bad but Henne will have to be very accurate now that they cannot run the Wildcat every single time, that could be the situation that they have to overcome.
Carolina Panthers haven’t received the best of news this weekend as well, their offensive line anchor LT Jordan Gross is recovering after undergoing surgery on his broken right ankle Sunday night. A team official said the surgery went well. The Panthers are expected to place him on injured reserve later today. The Panthers moved Travelle Wharton to left tackle and inserted inexperienced Mackenzy Bernadeau in Wharton’s old spot at left guard. The Panthers could sign another offensive lineman to add depth before Thursday’s game against Miami. This is not good for the Panthers, they really need to get these guys ready for this game otherwise their advantage could be lost and then they might even end up losing the game just because the adjustments couldn’t reach their potential. QB Jake Delhomme must be protected at all times, and he lost the best player at it so now he will need to throw on the run, may be he will be rushed so he will be using RB DeAngelo Williams still a little sore from his knee and RB Jonathan Stewart also a little sore from the Achilles tendon. Delhomme will be throwing to WR Steve Smith and WR Muhsin Muhammad who has been a little sore from the knee as well. This is not a good picture for the Panthers, a lot of their key players are not on their 100% and that could determine the outcome ofthe game.
