VS.
This will be one of the most important games ever for No.1 Florida Gators. They walk alone on 1st place of the SEC East with a record of 11-0 and 8-0 on the conference while Florida State Seminoles have had a mediocre season and they march 3rd on the ACC Atlantic with a record of 6-5 and a conference record of 4-4. A win for FSU represents the ellegibility for a bowl at the end of the season, for the Gators represent another step to the ladder of the national title.

BEN HILL GRIFFIN STADIUM, GAINESVILLE, FL
CBS
Florida State Seminoles coach Bobby Bowden looking for breaks against top-ranked Florida Gators. Bowden has seen some strange occurrences through the years of Florida State’s intense rivalry with Florida. Miraculous comebacks. “Phantom” penalties. Devastating turnovers. Even without junior QB Christian Ponder, who is sidelined the rest of the season with a shoulder injury, the Seminoles have proved they can move the ball on offense. But FSU has struggled defensively against virtually every team it has played. There is no telling what kind of damage Florida QB Tim Tebow can do against a defense that ranks among the worst in the nation in every statistical category. RB Jermaine Thomas, RB Ty Jones, WR Bert Reed and WR Rod Owens will be the key players on offense, they will need to do a great job in order to at least score some points. QB EJ Manuel will make his third start — and they will need the Gators (11-0) to be imperfect.
Florida Gators greatest strength will be THE DEFENSE– the Gators rank first nationally in scoring defense and second in yards allowed. At No.1 spot on the BCS list the Gators are obligated to beat the Seminoles without mercy, they need to repeat their last two appearances against the Seminoles, they were one sided beatdowns scoring 45 points on both against 12 and 15 points, they were just too much for the Seminoles. This year are looking better than ever and the Gators are just baby steps away from the BCS National Title and I think nothing will stop them. It would do so much more for the top-ranked Gators. A victory would keep them atop the Bowl Championship Series standings heading into a Dec. 5 matchup with No. 2 Alabama in the SEC Championship Game – with the winner going on to play for the BCS national championship. Florida has won a school-record 21 consecutive games, which is the fourth longest in Southeastern Conference history and the longest current streak in the nation. On a smaller scale is the Gators’ five-game winning streak against the Seminoles, the longest streak by any team in the series since Florida won six in a row from 1981-85. UF coach Urban Meyer has never lost to FSU and can join former Miami coach Larry Coker as the only coaches to beat Bobby Bowden five consecutive times. QB Tim Tebow can throw and run like very few quarterbacks can, he is a true contender for the Heisman Trophy and the key for Florida’s success. With him key players like RB Jeffery Demps, TE Aaron Hernandez and WR Riley Cooper Florida will be the best option to the National title. This will be another one sided beat and there is nothing FSU can do about it.
