No.10 Iowa Hawkeyes suffered their first loss of the season against Northwestern last saturday and in the process they lost QB Ricky Stanzi with a ankle injury that will keep him away for the Ohio State game next saturday. This could be a blow on the offense if they cannot adjust to the change of the starting QB, this is where the coach earn his money. The Running game has always been a key ingredient for this team, this season they only average about 119.2 yards per game and that is not big, they need to run faster and harder, and the ones going for it will be RB Adam Robinson and RB Brandon Wegher combined for 11 tds, they are scoring up and down but they need to increase the run now that they have lost the starting QB. By air Iowa averages 230.9 yards per game but that was with the healthy starting QB, he will miss this one out so this stat could be changed drastically, they need support from their offensive line and the guys in charge of catching will be WR Derrell Johnson-Koulianos and WR Trey Stross and they will be needed for this one. The key for Iowa is to increase the volume of plays by grown and hope for the best on the air game.

No.11 Ohio State Buckeyes are breathing down Iowa’s neck, this game could mean the first place at the Big Ten Conference and also an extra spot on the BCS list. QB Terrelle Pryor had a huge game against Penn State in Happy Valley on Saturday, throwing for 125 yards and two touchdowns while also running five times for 50 yards and a score, he is more than ready to face Iowa and take them down. Helping the cause the Buckeyes will count with RB Brandon Saine, WR DeVier Posey and WR Dane Sanzenbacher, all of them healthy and ready for next saturday fight for the top of ther Big Ten Conference. The key for Ohio State has always been the rushing game, they will use it to control Iowa and the clock, they can score as well but the real deal will be to use the air game to take advantage of Iowa’s loss of the starting QB.
