I went 2-0 last week in college ball as Oklahoma put the beat down on Texas Tech thus opening the door for Texas to play for the Conference championship. I have been on hit lately withmy college picks and I look to continue my win streak this week with thursday night game between Texas A&M at (3)Texas and the Saturday game with my alma mater Washington State at Hawaii. Below you will find the spreads and picks for both matchups as well as links to all of the NCAA week 14 football games.
Thursday Night
Texas A&M Aggies vs (3)Texas Longhorns
8:00 PM ET, November 27, 2008
Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium , Austin , TX
Spread: Texas -34
My Pick: The Longhorns are looking to lock up the conferance and secure I major bowl invite with a swift punishing of the Aggies this week. Colt McCoy is still the man in Texas with 30 TD’s and only 7 INT’s from over 3000 yards passing, he is still the leading rusher and still enjoys a superior all around offense. The Aggies at 4-7 are already looking towards next year so they really have nothing to lose which makes them dangerous to a team like Texas that in a tight race for post season position and cannot afford a clumsy loss. I think that Texas will walk all over them, but you have to consider the rivalry that all Texas schools have with each other and you have to think that the Aggies will bring everything they have to try and spoil a Texas win. I doubt it will happen, but +34 is really sweet, thats 4.5 touchdowns for all of you that aren’t so good with numbers. Being the dramatic that I am I think the Aggies are going to play a good game and taking the points is the play.
Saturday Night
Washington State Cougars vs Hawaii Rainbow Warriors
11:05 PM ET, November 29, 2008
Aloha Stadium , Honolulu , HI
Spread: Hawaii -28.5
My Pick: The Cougs have had it rough the last couple years and at 2-10 this year it hasn’t gotten any better. This Lopina guy sucks! They have no running game to speak of and the defense is just flat out horrible. Being a former Cougar I can say with a tear in my eye that something has to change in Pullman, WA. Hawaii is the better team coming off of their post Colt Brennen season and still have enough leaders with experience on that team to get some kind of rythem going. The Rainbow Warriors have WSU beat on just about every side of the ball. Plus, they are at home and no one likes that jet lag. It is going to be another long day for the Cougs I’m sorry to say that you have to give the points on this one.
