NFL Week 5 Monday night Football and ESPN brings us a great challenge between the New York Jets with a record of 3-1 against Miami Dolphins at home with a record of 1-3. The Dolphins are at the bottom of the league in pass offense so this might be a great chance for them to make it back, they need to win this one at home to get some of the confidence back.

New York Jets had a wake up call last weekend when they lost against The Saints 24-10, it was the first time rookie QB Mark Sanchez was forced to release the ball early, forced to make many mistakes and his accuracy wasn’t there. For the season Sanchez has 4 tds, 5 interceptions and 9 sacks with a completion rate of 57.3%, not that good for the rookie if he wants to make it all the way to the playoffs. In this last game he had no tds and threw 3 interceptions and he was caught many times, had a rough game on the road and this could turn into another nightmare if he doesn’t snap out of it quickly. The good news for the Jets are that LB Calvin Pace is back and he will be able to play next monday, that presents a real great chance to get back to the winning scenario for the Jets and for Sanchez. Helping Sanchez we will have RB Thomas Jones, RB Leon Washington, WR Jerricho Cotchery and TE Dustin Keller, all ready to score and help the Jets get back on track and still hold the No.1 position at AFC East. With Pace return and Sanchez confidence back we can expect a lot from the Jets at Florida.
Miami Dolphins haven’t had a good season so far, they sure played great last season but this new one hasn’t treated them nice, they have lost key games and they are now at the bottom of the AFC East division and it doesn’t look like they could get out of there at least for this week. Miami just won the first game against Buffalo last week but the Bills are not the Jets, this game is so important for them and that is why they are taking the challenge so seriously. If they win this one it could mean a comeback and at least a fighting chance early in the season, may be rack a couple of wins after that to get back to positive record and get in a better position and attempt to go to the playoffs. The fact that LB Joey Porter is still not ready to play brings more heat to the locker room, he was seen walking without limping but his hamstring might not be ready for Monday, he will be needed if Miami wants to win but they cannot put him in like this, they need patience. With QB Chad Pennington out for the season Miami will need more than a miracle to get this game, may be this is not the season they predicted and they cannot make it without their starting players, Good luck to them next year.
