NCAA Football and CBS will bring us this upcoming saturday an authentic clash between titans. The nationally ranked No.1 Florida Gators travel to Baton Rouge to play the No.4 LSU Tigers. Both teams are undefeated so far and this game represents who will move from their position at the national rank towards the BCS Championship game.

No.1 Florida Gators with a record of 4-0 and 2 wins on SEC Conference challenges face on of their biggest threats this year, LSU Tigers at home. Florida so far have been crushing rivals left and right, the beatdowns are incredible and they look good enough to deserve the No.1 this year but for how long??? QB Tim Tebow was separated from the team since he had academic issues that he needed to work out before it was late in the season to do so, it’s actually refreshing to see that the coach and the staff are also concern about the academic future of their starting QB. Tebow has 6 tds for the season and 1 interception with a convertion rate of 64.7%, really good but he will need more than that to put the Tigers away. The main difference between the rest of the teams and Florida is the total yardage, they rank 3rd in the country and the rushing yards that they rank 1st, controlling the flow of the game in their favor at all times. They don’t need to be airborne to win a game, they just need to run hard like they have been doing so far and they will win no questions asked. Helping on the rushing The Gators have RB Jeffery Demps with an impressive 10.4 yards per carry and 4 touchdowns for the season and also the QB Tim Tebow that rushes for 4.9 yards per carry and has scored 5 times this year that way. By air The Gators have WR Riley Cooper and TE Aaron Hernandez that both average more than 16 yards per turn, that is what I call offense. Florida has also has a great defense that only allows an average of 7.3 points per game, is there a way to beat this team??? Probably not …

No.4 LSU Tigers are probably one of the few teams in the country that can actually go toe to toe with Florida. They might not be as flashy as the Gators or they don’t score that many points but they get the job done with few mistakes and that is always valuable. LSU is outranked by Florida in every stat on the offense, passing yardage, rushing yardage, total points scored and total yardage of the game but that scenario doesn’t intimidate the staff of LSU, trying to put an end to the No.1 run to the BCS Championship Game. The offense scores only an average of 27 points per game but they only allow 14.8 points so that might be the huge difference for this upcoming game, the fact that Florida has not faced a team as good on defense as they are. QB Jordan Jefferson has been having a great season with 7 tds and 2 interceptions with 62.5% convertion rate, that is not incredible but it will do just fine. Players like RB Charles Scott, RB Keiland Williams, WR Terrance Toliver and superstar WR Brandon LaFell will try to do as much damage as possible facing the best defense they can encounter on their conference. The key for LSU will be to stop gators big offense and rely on their offensive line to get the job done.

GAME ODDS

FLORIDA GATORS -9
LSU TIGERS

LSU TIGERS ARE HAVING A GREAT SEASON AND WITH A RECORD OF 5-0 WITH 3 SEC CONFERENCE VICTORIES THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO SOMETHING TO FLORIDA AT THEIR OWN FIELD. IN MY OPINION FLORIDA WILL WIN BUT THE DIFFERENCE WON’T BE AS BIG AS ONE COULD THINK, THE PICK OF THE GAME WILL BE LSU TIGERS +9 AT HOME.
