NCAA Football week 5 starts on wednesday and ESPN 2 has a nice treat for us, Hawaii travels to Ruston, Louisiana to face Louisiana Tech in a game that will certainly bring a lot to the table. Both teams belong to the WAC Conference so this is an important challenge, whoever comes out as winner takes a huge step towards the first place to catch No.5 Boise State.

Hawaii Warriors with a record of 2-1 (one win at home and 1-1 on the road) heads to Louisiana to try to beat another good team on the road. The Warriors have managed to score close to 30+ points in all three games which is very impressive but now the face on the road LA Tech that has a negative record and they would love to win this one at home. Hawaii knows that if the beat LA Tech at home they will be right behind Boise State and that is the way to the glory for them, they will be one step behind just ready to take the first spot in the conference. QB Greg Alexander will be great factor if they want to be taken seriously, he has done ok for now with a 67% completion ratio, 9 tds and only 2 interceptions. On the running game RB Alex Green will be the one taking the hits, hope he can do it better, only 2 tds for the year. The air game is the key factor for Hawaii and in this attack WR Greg Salas and WR Rodney Bradley combined for 8 tds this year are the head of the team, they will do great things for hawaii and the connection with Alexander is the greatest asset for this offense.

Louisiana Tech Bulldogs head home after a record of 1-2 with both losses on the road to face Hawaii. LA Tech needs to get their fans ready for this important game, this is one of the most important ones of the year so far so they need to win no matter what. QB Ross Jenkins with a 62% completion ratio, 3 tds and 2 interceptions is not nearly as good as he can be this year, he needs to improve and it has to be done now, before it’s too late for them. Their rushing game is better than Hawaii’s, RB Daniel Porter and RB D.J. Morrow are the key for this team’s success. The air game is not going to be a factor since Hawaii is way better at it. The key for success for LA Tech will be to chew the clock with the running game and hope to score better than what they have done in the last three ganes.
