Iowa Hawkeyes undefeated (3-0) could face their first loss on the road against Penn State. This Big Ten Conference challenge might be the boost Iowa needs to grab at least a spot at the Bowl season. Iowa was missing three key players Saturday when Arizona came to Kinnick Stadium but hey were able to fill the holes and they came out as winners. The injured players were TE Tony Moeaki, WR Derrell Johnson-Koulianos and OL Bryan Bulaga; they were not easy to replace but the coaching staff did a hell of a job and it paid off big time. Now the good news is they all could be available for the Penn State game so coach Kirk Ferentz is really happy about it: “There’s a chance,” he said, “I don’t know if it’s a good chance. I hope it’s a good chance.” Well Coach a chance is all you need to make the difference, good luck because you will need it.

Penn State Nittany Lions also undefeated stay at home and wait for Iowa to make the trip. They know Iowa has suffered some key injuries but they will not let anything to chance. Key players on this game will be QB Daryll Clark with 3 impressive performances this year (8 TD’s and 760 yards so far) and RB Evan Royster with 134 yards rushed and one touchdown last game (236 yards and 3 TD’s so far). As ranked No.5 team in the nation Penn State has the responsability of taking this victory, no excuses, they are at home and they are under pressure here, this could be a ticket to the BCS Championship game. Coach Joe Paterno feels that the players affected by the flu and other various illnesses and they still played, RB Evan Royster and TE Mickey Shuler were key players now imagine what the can do when they are healthy.
