The Trojans barely beat Ohio State last week, the game was all about defense, that will certainly change when they face Washington this week. No.3 USC has a semi-easy task against the Huskies that they are not even ranked and they are not contenders for the PAC 10 title.

USC Trojans started this season beating an easy San jose State and then when they faced a real team like Ohio State (Ranked they had a lot of issues and they were stopped cold in a few plays, the game was decided in USC favor but it was pretty close for them, they thought it was going to be easier but it wasn’t at all. The biggest concern for the Trojans this week is what happened last saturday, USC quarterback Matt Barkley sustained a bruised shoulder, coach Pete Carroll said the Trojans will monitor with hopes the true freshman would play this week. Barkley threw for 195 yards and that doesn’t sound bad but with a bruised shoulder they have another thing coming for this week.

Washington Huskies had problems in week 1 when they faced a nationally ranked team like LSU (No.11) and they got beat at home nonetheless, which takes me to my point, they now receive a No.3 ranked on the nation and they play way better than LSU, regardless of they are at home or visiting, they haven’t had the chance to get it together against PAC 10 powerful teams like USC. Washington looked good this past saturday, they scored 42 points to defeat Idaho (unranked as well), the QB Locker threw for 253 yards (impressive performance) and the rushing game was dominated by Polk with another impressive performance (80 yards). It seems they can play really well against weak teams but the final test is coming this saturday and nothing on Earth will make Washington beat USC, they just don’t have enough man power and that is regardless if the USC starting QB plays or not. Now to add more pressure to it Washington Huskies ranked No.10 in the list of bottom rank NCAA teams, “Getting Better”: A nation-worst 15 straight losses keeps the Huskies on the list, but don’t expect U-Dub to be a part of our rocked band for much longer.
