How about another Sunday night NFC North Battle at the historical Lambeau Field, this time the Chicago Bears travel to Green Bay to face the Packers and a fairly anticipated game. Tha Packers have the advantage but it’s possible that the Bears defense goes back to the way it was before.

Chicago Bears has new QB Jay Cutler and great things are expected from this new addition, they count on him to take them to the next level and I am not talking about playoffs only, he needs to take this team to the big dance. Also adding to Cutler comes from Vanderbilt Earl Bennett and both feel this connection is exactly what the team needs in order to put points on the board, Bennett as a Wide Receiver has a a great connection with Cutler and I am sure they will use it at this game. The players to watch will be TE Greg Olsen, QB Jay Cutler, WR Earl Bennett and CB Devin Hester.

Green Bay Packers have great news for this new season, Ryan Grant has fully recovered from his hamstring injury last year and as No.1 Back awesome things are expected from him this season. To win the NFC North the Pack will need the Grant of ‘07. This summer he spent a week and a half at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., running hills against resistance from parachutes, bungee cords, chains and tires. The drills were designed to simulate charging up the field with a linebacker wrapped around his waist. A power runner, Grant believes the key to 2009 is to regain the explosiveness that allows him to shed tacklers and sprint past them. He’s aiming for “definitely more than 1,200 yards. As Favre’s successor they have Aaron Rodgers who was 4th in the league in passing yards and touchdowns and sixth in passer rating but the pressure won’t be on him since they all know he gets the job done without a problem. Assuming Grant regains his form and the defense embraces the 3-4, the Packers should join the Vikings and the Bears in a three-way battle for the NFC North. Kampman’s sack numbers may dip a little, but his victory totals are likely to rise. “The new defense allows us to be more creative, especially with our blitzes,” backup corner Tramon Williams says. “A lot of guys are going to be coming from a lot of places. It’s going to be a quarterback’s worst nightmare.”.

GAME ODDS

BEARS 46½
PACKERS -3½

QUITE DIFFICULT TO PICK A WINNER ON THIS NFC NORTH BATTLE, BEARS AND PACKERS HAVE GREAT SQUADS AND THEY ALL CAN MAKE IT TO THE SUPERBOWL THIS YEAR BUT MY PREDICTION WILL BE CHICAGO BEARS +3½ TAKING A VICTORY AND GRABBING THE DIVISION ON THE FIRST GAME.
