nfl2 2008 NFL Week 4: Betting Odds and Picks Another week of let downs for me as I went 6-10 on my picks which brings my season total to 23-23-1.  Right now you either hate me or…well not much else I can say.  This week the picks analysis is shortened because I’m in Barcelona, but have no fear the picks are still solid. Check out the Spreads, Totals and winning picks for Week 4…

Teams on Bye Week: Detriot, Indianapolis, Miami, New England, NY Giants, Seattle

Sunday September 28th

Green Bay Packers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers -2.5  43

My Pick:  Despite what happened last week in Green Bay, I still think that the Packers are a playoff team and obviously they don’t need Ryan Grant to get the job done.  This is a problem for the Buc’s whose specialty is shutting down the run, but may lack in the secondary.  It should be the Ernest Graham show this week as they look to expose the holes that Marion Barber found.  Griese is still the QB, but Rodgers is better and he has better recievers. I think the Pack winn straight up.  Take the Pack plus the points.

Cleveland Browns
Cincinnati Bengals -3.5  44
My Pick:  The Bengals actually gave the Giants a scare last week forcing a comeback drive from Eli Manning just to get into to over time.  They still are not that good but at least Chris Perry has proven that he can help take the pressure off of Palmer and get it done on the ground.  Cleveland unfortunately has alot of issues to deal with and the answer may be a possible start for Brady Quinn.  I think they will attempt a repeat of last years matchup when both teams combined for 100 points, but byt he second quarter both teams will get back to the run.  This is the week that the Bengals finally get a win, give the points.

Houston Texans
Jacksonville Jaguars -9  41.5
My Pick:  Jacksonville is pumped after a win in Indy and Porter may finally be healthy this week so they are looking tough.  Houston is still in a haze and they need to find the light before anything good can come from them.  Jacksonville is going to put the hurt on them.  Give the points.

Atlanta Falcons
Carolina Panthers -7  39

My Pick:  Carolina should have won straight up last week against the weak Minnesota secondary, but constant errors by his line and dumb penalties through off their rythem and Delhomme wasn’t able to get anything going.  This week should be different playing at home and Steve Smith making a strong return spells big passing yards.  The Falcons will continue to push the Turner effort, but will have to go to the air eventually to keep up, the Panthers D has been hard on the run which makes me think the pressure will be on the rookie QB Ryan.  Take the Panthers, give the points.

Denver Broncos -9  46.5
Kansas City Chiefs

My Pick:  Larry Johnson decided to come out to play last week, but it may be too little too late.  Denver has the one of the top offenses in the league right now and thats bad news for the Kansas City defense.  9 is alot of points to give the home team and I think that the Chiefs offense is opening up the field more and moving better.  I think I actually have to take the Chiefs plus the points.

Arizona Cardinals
NY Jets -3  45

My Pick:  The Jets got trounced last week and Brett ol boy couldn’t get on track.  The Cards took a tough loss in Washington, but they didn’t play bad and Kurt Warner looks good.  I think Thomas Jones has been awaken from the dead so I like the Jets to bounce back this week.  Give the points.

San Francisco 49′ers
New Orleans Saints -6  48.5
My Pick:  San Fran is actually looking OK for the first time since I can remember and New Orleans will be without Shockey, I actually think this will be close, take the 9er’s and the points.

Buffalo Bills -8  41.5
St. Louis Rams

My Pick:  Buffalo is 3-0 for the first time since Jim Kelly was playing there.  I may even pick up Edwards on my fantasy team.  Bottom line, its gonna be real ugly in St. Louis for a while before it gets better.  Take the Bills give the points.

Washington Redskins
Dallas Cowboys -11.5  46
My Pick:  Redskins are looking pretty good this early in the season and the Cowboys are only living up to expectations.  I like the Skins to surprise some people this week, I don’t think they will win, but they will cover, plus this is a great rivalry.

San Diego Chargers -7  45.5
Oakland Raiders

My Pick:  The Chargers finally got a win, but Favre helped them do it with his sloppy play.  Oakland just barely lost and Jamarcus Russell finally opened up.  McFadden should be healthy also so I really like the Raiders the to step up and win this week, but if their secondary doesn’t come to play its going to be a really long day.  Take the Raiders and the points.

Sunday Night Football

Philadelphia Eagles
Chicago Bears
My Pick:

Monday Night Football September 29th

Baltimore Ravens
Pittsburgh Steelers
My Pick:
