No.16 Oregon Ducks lost players to the NFL last season; RB Jeremiah Johnson, who rushed for 1,252 yards last year, is now a member of the Houston Texans, three starters along the offensive line, including Seattle Seahawks second-round pick C Max Unger. But not all has been lost to the PROs, the return of 229-pound RB LeGarrette Blount who also broke the 1,000-yard mark last year and dual-threat QB Jeremiah Masoli still makes the ground game the strength of this offense. This type of attack will test Boise St running defense, that is a fact we will see how it goes. Blount is a competitive runner who rarely goes down after the first hit. He rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown against Boise State last year, when the Broncos appeared to underestimate his slipperiness and balance in the open field. Also the progression of true sophomore SS George Iloka puts them in better position to slow TE Ed Dickson this year, and CB Kyle Wilson is capable of limiting the production of the talented WR Jamere Holland with little or no help.

No.14 Boise State Broncos lost a few players to the NFL like RB Ian Johnson and five other starters from the offensive line that averaged 37.6 points per game making one of the greatest seasons ever for the Broncos. The good news for Broncos fans is that QB Kellen Moore is back under center. He completed 69.4 percent of his passes as a redshirt freshman last year, so look for him to make sound reads and get rid of the ball quickly, also a fun fact is that Boise State’s offensive coaching staff is one of the best in the nation, and it will have its receiving corps well prepared.
