VS.
Minnesota Vikings and QB Brett Favre never looked so good. They gave us a beautiful show Sunday morning and they are coming to get the NFC Title regardless of who is in front of them. Now, the best part about all this is that New Orleans Saints, a very strong team offensively speaking gets to play them at their own home ground and it will be probably one of the best challenges ever between quarterbacks.

Minnesota Vikings jumped to the field in a aggressive mode that left no doubt of what they are looking for. QB Brett Favre handle himself amazingly good. He is the engine of this team and without him none of these will would be possible so basically if he wants to win they probably will. Other players involved in offense are RB Adrian Peterson, RB Chester Taylor, WR Sidney Rice and WR Percy Harvin. Minnesota just left Romo without options and I am sure that’s what they are going to do to Brees on the next game. They are coming to obliterate the Saints and they won’t give them a chance to start throwing or running, the defense is set to stop them before it’s too late so the same game plan applies. Favre will be in charge of the rest and combining the run with the aerial there will be few options for the Saints defense to stop this team.
New Orleans Saints just scored 45 points against a mediocre defense. The test is coming next Sunday when they get to face a real threat on offense and defense, a well balanced combination that could end their season in a blink of an eye. QB Drew Brees has been known for been a player that folds under pressure so this could be a determine factor on this game. Other players involved in offense are RB Pierre Thomas, RB Mike Bell, WR Marques Colston and WR Devery Henderson. The key for the Saints is guard their QB and let him do what he knows best. The run will be a powerful option in the legs of RB Reggie Bush, healthy enough to give his best like last Saturday. The defense has to put pressure on Favre and hit him as much as possible, may be the Old man cannot take that many hits in a game anymore so if you rough him a little bit he could crumble.

TWO VERY SIMILAR OFFENSIVE TEAMS MEET AND THERE IS ONE FACT, IT WILL BE PLENTY OF SCORING. THE SAINTS HAVE GREAT PLAYERS BUT I FEEL THE VIKINGS WANT IT MORE, BRETT WANTS IT MORE. MY PICK WILL BE MINNESOTA VIKINGS +4˝.

Two interesting facts: Arizona had to work really hard to put up 14 points on the Saints D after scorching Green Bay, and earlier doing a similar thing the the Vikings. On the Flip side the Cowboys put up 21 points on the Saints Defense a few weeks ago, but only managed 3 against that ferocious Vikings Defense. Chalk some of the turnovers up to the Rookie Romo. I think Brees will show more poise and weather the storm a lot better. Look for a slow first half with lots of Defense, then New Orleans blows it open in the Second half. Thats my take, final score, 38-17 Saints.
Besides the defenses, the Minnesota Vikings, and New Orleans Saints are Both Offensive Powerhouses, But the Saints just don’t have the Stamina on the defensive end to keep up with Brett and his weapons. I believe the First half will be somewhat slow, towards the end of the second quarter Vikes will lead by 7+ come second half The saints will crumble, as Brett Favre picks away at them with repeated first downs, Drew brees will get roughed up considering the Saints shabby O line, Expect an upset, Vikes 35 Saints 24
No offense to the obvious Viking fans here but lets see, the Vikings got spanked by the Cardinals and their week defense, what was it 31-17? And the Saints put it on the Cardinals. Also keep in mind the Saints had 9 starters out for the last 5 games and are now back 100% healthy. It will be an interesting match up for sure.
With all the offensive explosiveness from both teams the game ultimately comes down to the kickers and Longwell is the difference. A last minute field goal clears the uprights and sends the Vikings to the Superbowl.
The majority of people are taking the Colts to kill the Jets this
week but you have to consider how well New York matches up against
Indy. Indy has the worst running game in the league, and is ALL
Peyton. The Jets have the #1 pass-defence and if they can put the
clamps on Peyton early… it could very well be a Jets win. TheCoach
isn’t calling a J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS win but they will cover the
spread. I know Indy shut down Baltimore’s running game last week
but the Jets strive on being quick and elusive.. something Ray Rice
isn’t…
Minnesota and New Orleans is going to be such a good game. I was
hoping all season long these two would meet up in the NFC
Championship and honestly.. either team could team this game. The
Saints are -3.0 favourites and historically home team get given three
points for the home-field advantage… so basically this game is a
pick-em and there is ONE thing that I like about the Saints and its
that home-field advantage. Last week Warner and Romo combined for 7
sacks and 4 fumbles largely in part to not being able to communicate
with their offence. The SuperDome is NUTS and I don’t care how much
experience Favre has, the crowd can help a team and also hurt the
other so much.
