NBA Odds – Philadelphia 76ers to Rise up and earn huge road Scalp at Orlando

The Orlando Magic will be out for a season series win on Monday night when it takes to the hardwood to battle the Philadelphia 76ers against the NBA odds at Bookmaker Sportsbook.

Philadelphia 76ers Lines VS Orlando Magic Picks

NBA Betting Online:

The Philadelphia 76ers (31-27, 29-28-1 ATS) will attempt to even up their 2011-12 NBA odds season series with the Orlando Magic (34-24, 31-25-2 ATS) on Monday, April 16th when the teams partake in their final tussle of the regular season; tip-off from the Amway Center is set to go live on NBA TV starting at 7:00 ET.

Philadelphia got off to a tremendous start to their 2011-12 campaign, but it’s been an extremely rocky road for Head Coach Doug Collins and his staff ever since the All Star break. Once a potential candidate to win the Atlantic Division, the Sixers are now just clinging on to the thought of actually qualifying for the playoffs. As it is, Andre Iguodala and his mates currently hold onto the 7th seed in the East one-game ahead of the 8th seeded New York Knicks and three-games in back of tonight’s opponent for the 6th seed.

However, since dropping four straight to Miami, Toronto, Orlando, and Boston (1-3 ATS), the Sixers have rattled off a pair of wins against New Jersey and Toronto, and with those triumphs came a pair of NBA odds covers as well. Granted, the opposition was far from threatening with neither the Raptors nor Nets heading to the second season, but wins are wins and you never know which ones will be the catalyst to get a team back on track. Philly has covered three of its L/4 away from the Wells Fargo Center, and checks in 12-15 SU & 12-14-1 ATS on the road overall.

Once Dwight Howard stated he would remain in Orlando through next season, it was supposed to be nothing but peace signs and rainbows for the team as well as the coaching staff. That however has been far from the case with the rumor spreading that “Superman” did not want Coach Van Gundy around next season. To put it mildly, this has created a very hostile environment for the Magic to contend with, and it’s shown in their recent performances. After rattling off wins and covers against both Philadelphia and Detroit, it traveled to Washington on Tuesday and lost to the Wizards outright as 4.5-point NBA odds chalk.

That’s right folks! The freaking Wizards! Granted, Howard sat out due to his back giving him problems, but you’d still expect a Magic team currently in the Eastern Conference playoff chase to still be able to get by a Washington team that had mustered just 13 wins heading into that match-up. Orlando’s All Star is listed as doubtful for this game as well. That’s not a good omen considering the Magic have struggled against the Top 10 teams on the Sagarin Ratings they’ve faced going just 9-13 SU for the year; Philly surprisingly checks in at #8. Orlando’s 119-89 rout of the Pistons on Monday snapped the team’s three-game SU & ATS losing streak in front of its hometown faithful.

NBA Odds Prediction – The Magic have dominated their recent rivalry with the Sixers capturing “W’s” in eight of the L/10 meetings both SU & ATS. They’ve taken two of the three meetings this season which included a 103-87 home win and cover back on February 15th. However, the ramifications in this one are huge for the Sixers. If they win, they’d take a step closer towards getting out of the 7th seed and matching up with either Miami or Chicago in the 1st round. We expect the 76ers to enter this clash in the midst of a three-game win streak (vs. NJN), and keeping that streak alive should be just enough motivation added to the bigger picture to get past the Howard-less Magic.

The playoffs are right round the corner, so there’s no better time than now to pad your NBA odds bankroll! Reacclimate yourself with the league right now at Bookmaker Sportsbook with this NBA odds match-up between the Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic!

NBA Basketball Gambling Lines Mavericks Vs Lakers Predictions

NBA Betting – Dallas Mavericks to make Last Stand in Staples on Sunday

Written by North Shore Sports, INC

Los Angeles Lakers Picks VS Dallas Mavericks Lines

The Dallas Mavericks will be out looking to avoid the season series sweep at the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers when the Western Conference rivals collide in NBA betting action at Bookmaker Sportsbook on Sunday afternoon.

BookMaker Sportsbook

NBA Betting Online:

The Los Angeles Lakers (37-22, 24-35 ATS) will look to put the finishing touches on a regular season sweep of the Dallas Mavericks (33-26, 29-29 ATS) when the teams meet up for their fourth and final NBA betting clash on Sunday, April 15th; tip-off from the Staples Center is set to go live on ABC at 3:30 ET.

Even though the Mavericks have posted back-to-back wins heading into Friday night’s road clash with the Portland Trailblazers, there’s still plenty of work to be done if the defending champs are to get a shot at defending that title in the second season. They currently hold the 6th seed in the Western Conference 1.5-games behind the 5th seeded Memphis Grizzlies and only half-games in front of both the Houston Rockets and Denver Nuggets who find themselves in the 7th and 8th slots respectively. Both Utah and Phoenix only sit two-games back as well!

Still, the fact that the offense posted back-to-back 100+ point efforts has to sit well with those that backed them on the NBA betting line their last two games; it marked the first time Dallas hit the 100-point plateau since ousting Houston 101-99 in overtime back on March 24th. However, with games set to go against the Lakers, Jazz, and Rockets in their next three following Friday night’s trip to the Rose Garden, it will be the defense that must continue playing at a championship level. The win and cover by the Bay improved the Mavs to 12-16 SU & 13-14 ATS away from ‘Big D’, but they’ll invade Tinseltown just 8-15 SU against the Sagarin Ratings Top 10 ranked teams; LA checks in at #5.

Will he play or will he sit? That is the question the folks in La La land have about star shooting guard Kobe Bryant. He’s now missed each of the Lakers last three games dealing with a tendon issue in his left shin, and is listed as questionable to return for Friday night’s home clash with the Denver Nuggets. However, after getting embarrassed 125-105 in the first game he missed at Phoenix, the Lakers went out and closed their road trip out with wins at both New Orleans and San Antonio.

The outright NBA betting win as 10-point underdogs at the Spurs was most impressive considering Popovich played all his aging superstars, and LA went at them without the services of their All Star. Metta World Peace stepped up with his best effort of the season (26 points), while Andrew Bynum dominated the paint pulling down a whopping 30 rebounds. If those two continue to play at that level when Kobe returns, there’s no telling just how far this team can go in the second season. The win also moved them to 8-8 SU against the Sagarin Ratings Top 10, and they’ll host the Mavs in a venue they’ve won 23 of 29 games in heading into Friday night (13-16 ATS).

NBA Betting Pick: The fact that Dallas swept the Lakers in the Western Conference semifinals did not sit well with Pau Gasol and his mates. They’ve gone out and won all three of these teams meetings this season by an average of eight points per game and came only a bucket away from covering all three games. Having said that, we expect Dallas to throw everything at the Lakers in this regular season finale knowing full well they need to more or less win out to hold onto their playoff positioning. The Mavs have covered each of their L/3 trips to Staples, and Sunday should be no different!

Can Dirk Nowitzki come up with another huge game to help earn his squad the NBA betting road cover, or will the Lakers continue their regular season domination of this rivalry and pull off the sweep? MLB Baseball Betting Lines Yankees Vs Angels Predictions

MLB Odds – Nova, New York Yankees Should Continue Dominance Over Los Angeles Angels

Written by North Shore Sports, Inc.

Baseball Gambling

Our MLB odds are always posted at Bookmaker Sportsbook, and tonight, we’re taking a look at another great Sunday Night Baseball clash. The New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Angels will kick off yet another great duel between AL contenders on Sunday night.

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Odds VS New York Yankees Gambling Lines

MLB Betting Online:

The New York Yankees (3-3, -$35) and the Los Angeles Angels (2-4, -$449) are set to tango on Sunday, April 15th from Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, NY. We’re breaking down the MLB odds for this clash, which can be seen on ESPN at 8:05 ET.

The Angels and Yankees were supposed to be two of the best teams on the MLB betting odds in the league this year. Sure, we are just a week into the season, but at least at this point, neither team looks like it is at its best. The Halos are just 2-4 and are coming off of a game in which they blew a six-run lead at Target Field against the Minnesota Twins on Thursday, while New York is still trying to recover from its three-game sweep at the hands of the Tampa Bay Rays to start off the season.

Manager Joe Girardi is expected to turn the baseball over to Ivan Nova on Sunday. Nova had one of the best rookie campaigns that a Yankee has ever had last year when he went 16-4. Sure, he had a heck of a lot of run support, and his splits just weren’t all that great, but he just found ways to get the job done for the boys in pinstripes.

Nova only had 98 strikeouts against 57 walks in 165.1 innings of work, though in his first start of the season, a win on the MLB gambling odds over the Baltimore Orioles, he struck out seven in seven innings and didn’t issue a free pass.

Meanwhile on the other side of the diamond, Jerome Williams is expected to make his first start of the 2012 season. The righty has really done nothing but bounce around in baseball over the course of the last few seasons, and he finally landed a spot in the Halos’ rotation last year, going 4-0 in 10 appearances; six of which were starts.

Williams started off this year on the DL with a hamstring strain, which could hamper him. What also could be problematic is the fact that he has just 44.0 innings of work at the big league level since 2007, and he really hasn’t been heard from since a lousy 2005 season with the San Francisco Giants and the Chicago Cubs.

This is going to be the first time that Williams battles it out on the MLB wagering odds against the Yankees in his career.

MLB Odds Pick – At this point, it is really difficult to want to back a pitcher like Williams, who has a very limited amount of starts over the last few years in the bigs, against one like Nova, who came out of the blocks like a house of fire last season. The Yanks are 13-4 in their last 17 entering this series at home against the Angels, and there is no reason to think that that won’t continue on Sunday Night Baseball this weekend.

NHL Betting Picks Boston Bruins Vs Washington Capitals Odds

NHL Odds – Boston Bruins To Claim 2-0 Lead Over Washington Capitals

Written by North Shore Sports, Inc.
BookMaker Sportsbook

Our NHL odds are always posted at Bookmaker Sportsbook, and today, we’re taking a look at the postseason clash in the 2/7 series in the East. The Boston Bruins and the Washington Capitals will kick off Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon.

Washington Capitals Picks VS Boston Bruins Lines

NHL Betting Online:

The Boston Bruins (50-29-4) and the Washington Capitals (42-32-9) are set to tango on Saturday, April 14th at 3:00 ET from the TD Garden in Boston, MA. We’re breaking down the NHL odds for this clash, which can be seen live on CBC and NBC.

The NHL playoff odds are now clearly stacked against the Capitals after getting beaten 1-0 in overtime on Thursday night.

About the only thing to be happy about if you are a Caps fan is that Braden Holtby clearly lived up to the moment of his first playoff game. He withstood an offensive onslaught and stopped the first 29 shots that he faced. He did allow the game-winner in the end on his first shot faced in overtime, but in the end, he might have proven that he belongs on the playoff roster even if both Michal Neuvirth and Tomas Vokoun both end up being healthy enough to suit up once again.

Washington’s big problem if it intends on beating the NHL betting odds in this series is that it has to generate more offense. Where in the heck was Alexander Ovechkin on Thursday? This is a man that, at times, has had some simply electrifying games here in the playoffs. At other times though, he has been nowhere to be found, and in the end, until he wins a Stanley Cup, he will always be criticized. He led an offense that had just seven shots in the first two periods of play, and in the end, he registered just one shot on goal in his 20 shifts.

The hero for the boys from Beantown was Chris Kelly. He struck the overtime winner with some help from Brian Rolston, earning the B’s the edge on the NHL gambling odds in the first game in their series.

The defense was absolutely fantastic for the Bruins on Thursday night. As we already mentioned, they held down Washington, a very potent offensive team with a ton of potential, to just seven shots in the first nearly 42 minutes of action. That made life relatively easy on Tim Thomas, who only had to face 17 shots to record a shutout.

Still, the offense didn’t always take full advantage of its chances against a goalie that should have looked like a deer in headlights, and that has to be at least remotely concerning if you’re a Bruins fan heading into Game 2.

NHL Odds Prediction – In the end, the Capitals just continue to find ways to lose games on the road this year. They only have 16 victories all season long as the guests, and that just isn’t going to cut it here in Beantown. Go with the defending champs to take a 2-0 series lead before the series shifts back to DC next week.
