NBA Odds – Clippers to Win Season Series from Lakers on Hump Day Night

Written by North Shore Sports, INC

BookMaker Sportsbook

A huge one is set to go in the Pacific Division on Wednesday night when Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers battle Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers against the NBA odds at Bookmaker Sportsbook.

Los Angeles Lakers Picks VS Los Angeles Clippers Lines

NBA Betting Online:

The Los Angeles Clippers (31-21, 26-26 ATS) will try to take one step closer in overtaking the Los Angeles Lakers (33-20, 22-31 ATS) in the Pacific Division standings on Wednesday, April 4th when the rivals partake in their final meeting of the regular season; tip-off from the Staples Center will go live on ESPN at 10:30 ET.

Even though the Lakers hold a 1.5-game lead over the Clippers atop the division and have won six of their L/10 games, something is not right in Tinseltown. Kobe Bryant had one of the worst shooting efforts of his career throughout the entirety of the Lakers match-up with the New Orleans Hornets on Saturday, but did hit the game clincher in the closing moments to allow for the Lakers to escape with the win. That triumph was then followed up with a 120-112 win over Golden State, but once again, LA failed to cover the closing number.

In fact, Head Coach Mike Brown’s squad has now failed to cover the NBA odds in each of their L/6 games and only possess one ATS triumph in their L/10! They’ll host the Nets Tuesday night before playing this one on no rest as the visiting team in this Staples Center throw down; LA checks in 8-8 SU & 6-10 ATS on the year when playing unrested scoring just 96.3 PPG while surrendering an average of 95.9 PPG. The Lakers saw their two-game cover streak on the back end of back-to-backs snapped against the Warriors on Sunday night, but the team has been at its best within Staples where it owns 22-5 SU & 13-14 ATS tallies on the year.

“Lob City” has gotten back to playing the type of ball that saw it hold a lead atop the Pacific Division standings at the beginning of the year. Saturday night’s 105-96 home win and cover against the Utah Jazz saw Head Coach Vinny Del Negro’s outfit secure its fifth straight win (4-1 ATS). They’ll head to Dallas to body up the defending champion Mavericks on Monday night only 1.5-games in back of the Lakers. The Clippers will attempt to put an end to their three-game road losing streak in that NBA betting odds clash.

The main reason that Chris Paul and his mates are once again posting W’s is because of the teams play at the defensive end of the court. Since allowing both Indiana and Oklahoma City to surpass the 100-point plateau in back-to-back games, Los Angeles hasn’t let any of its L/6 opponents reach the century mark and only gave up an average of 91.0 PPG in those contests; 4+ points less than their seasonal average allowed (95.2 PPG). Just like tonight’s opponent, the Clippers have been at their best as a host winning 20 of their 28 played games while covering 15 of those skirmishes against the closing number.

NBA Odds Selection: These teams have split their pair of meetings to date with the Clippers winning and covering the first one 102-94 and the Lakers taking the second 96-91 as four-point chalk; the ‘over’ cashed in both contests and has done so in each of the L/4. We like the Clippers in this crucial spot, but for them to come out on top, it will be imperative that they live up to their #1 billing on the defensive glass and not allow for Gasol and a gimpy Bynum to get easy put backs. Something just isn’t right with the Lakers right now, and that should be all the overlooked Clippers should need to win the season series from their most hated rival!

NBA Basketball Gambling Odds Heat Vs Thunder Predictions

NBA Betting – Miami Heat to Step Up and Even Season Series with OKC

Written by North Shore Sports, INC

BookMaker Sportsbook

Two of the best teams in the league are scheduled to collide against the NBA betting lines at Bookmaker Sportsbook on Wednesday night when the Oklahoma City Thunder and Miami Heat square off in their final regular season meeting.

Miami Heat Predictions VS Oklahoma City Thunder Odds

NBA Betting Online:

The Miami Heat (37-14, 25-26 ATS) will look to even up the regular season NBA betting series with the  (40-12, 30-22 ATS) when the  teams lock horns on Wednesday, April 4th; tip-off from the American Airlines Arena is set to go live on ESPN at 8:00 ET.

If anyone doubted the abilities of the Oklahoma City Thunder and scoffed at the fact that they sit atop the Western Conference standings by a comfy margin, you can’t help but question that train of thought after the body of work Head Coach Scott Brooks’ squad has produced over the course of their L/10 games. Kevin Durant and his mates check in a moneymaking 8-2 SU & 7-3 ATS dating back to March 15th, and have beaten the likes of the Clippers, Timberwolves, Heat, Lakers, and Bulls during that stretch.

Last we saw the Thunder take to the hardwood, they toyed with the Chicago Bulls en route to securing the 92-78 home win and NBA betting line cover as six-point chalk; they led by 30 points at one point. Sunday’s win over the Derrick Rose-less Bulls improved Russell Westbrook and his mates to a league-best 13-4 SU versus the Sagarin Ratings Top 10 teams; they currently check in as the second ranked team behind only the Bulls. OKC will host Memphis on the back end of a back-to-back Monday night amidst a six-game winning streak (5-1 ATS), and checks in 17-8 SU & 15-10 ATS as a visitor to date.

What the heck happened to the Heat on Sunday in Beantown? The team looked listless to say the least never once holding a lead and got buried by 19 points as four-point road favorites. The 72 points scored was a season low and they lost for the seventh time in their L/11 on the road. The effort truly came as a surprise with Miami going out and earning a pair of wins and covers versus Dallas and Toronto their previous two times out. They’ll have a day off to try and figure out what went wrong before returning home to face Philadelphia and Oklahoma City on back-to-back nights.

Miami’s just 8-7 SU & a woeful 5-10 versus the closing NBA betting odds when playing on no rest this season; they’ve scored an average of 99.0 PPG and given up 97.9 PPG to its opposition in those games. That said; Head Coach Eric Spoelstra’s squad has been at its absolute best when playing in front of the hometown faithful capturing wins on 21 of 23 occasions while capturing pointspread triumphs in 12 of those contests. D-Wade and his mates have represented well against the best the league has to offer going 11-5 SU the 16 times they faced a foe ranked amongst the Sagarin Ratings Top 10.

NBA Betting Pick: Dating back to the 2009 season, the Heat have had no luck against the Thunder whatsoever compiling just 1-4 SU & ATS records in the L/5 overall meetings. Included in that poor trend line is the team’s most recent 103-87 loss at OKC that took place less than 10 days ago. Miami was outclassed in every respect, allowing the Thunder to shoot better than 52 percent from the field which included a 6-of-11 mark from downtown. While Miami has looked disinterested since the All Star break (10-7 SU & 7-10 ATS), we got a feeling they show up here in a big way to remind the Thunder that it will be far from this easy to cruise to the franchise’s first NBA title. Everyone’s high on OKC right now and very low on the Heat, and if you know anything about investing, you know that’s the exact scenario to pounce. Back the Heat!

So will the Thunder take down yet another opponent en route to locking up the top seed in the West, or will the Heat become that bump in the NBA betting road? Whichever side of the line you toe, take your action over to Bookmaker Sportsbook and be confident in knowing you’ll be playing into some of the most competitive lines in the business!

College Basketball Lines and Odds Kansas Vs Kentucky Predictions

CBB Betting – Kansas Jayhawks and Kentucky Wildcats to put on a show in National Championship Game

Written by North Shore Sports, INC

BookMaker Sportsbook

The 2011-12 CBB betting national champions will be crowned at Bookmaker Sportsbook on Monday night when the Kansas Jayhawks and Kentucky Wildcats battle one another in the National Championship game.

Kansas Jayhawks Picks VS Kentucky Wildcats Betting Odds

NCAAB Betting Online:

The title game of the 2012 NCAA tournament is set to go on Monday, April 2nd when two of the most storied programs in the history of college basketball in the Kansas Jayhawks (32-6, 19-17-1 ATS) and Kentucky Wildcats (37-2, 15-22-1 ATS) oppose one another against the CBB betting line for the second time this season; tip-off from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome is set for 9:23 ET with CBS covering the live telecast.

College Basketball Betting Lines
Kansas Jayhawks (+6) -110
Kentucky Wildcats (-6) -110
Total: 136.5

We’re not exactly sure how they’re doing it, but the Jayhawks just continue to win game after game even though they’ve looked absolutely terrible at times. All of Kansas’ naysayers looked to be geniuses after the first 20 minutes were in the book in its Final Four match-up with Ohio State. The Buckeyes seemingly couldn’t miss and forced a multitude of Jayhawks turnovers to go into the break up 34-25. Coach Thad Matta was seen grinning from ear-to-ear, but little did he know Bill Self had him exactly where he wanted. That’s because the Jayhawks have proved time and time again that they’re an incredibly resilient second half team readily able to make necessary adjustments to advance.

Case in point; Kansas bolted out of the second half to tie the Buckeyes and get within the closing CBB betting line for the first time since the game’s opening moments. Ohio State retook the lead right after, and did so throughout most of the second half. However, in the game’s closing moments, it was Kansas that came up with the big defensive stop or big shot. The crimson and blue pulled out the gritty two-point victory (64-62), and it was the efforts of Thomas Robinson (19 points, 8 rebounds), Elijah Johnson (13 points, 10 rebounds), and Jeff Withey (8 rebounds, 7 blocks) that moved the Jayhawks to their sixth all-time championship game. Coach Self will look to move to 2-0 in title games at KU.

The model that Kentucky Head Coach John Calipari has used has proven to be very successful at whichever stop he makes. He’s already had success in the past at UMASS and Memphis, but that title still eludes him. However, his current Wildcats outfit has already been deemed one of the most dominating college basketball teams in the history of the game even though they haven’t won anything yet. The make-up of Anthony Davis, Terrence Jones, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Doron Lamb, and Marquis Teague has made many hypothesize that they could actually beat some of the NBA’s worst teams. While we simply laugh at that idea, it goes without saying that the 2011-12 Kentucky Wildcats are an exceptionally talented team.

Though Louisville challenged them over the course of their Final Four CBB betting clash on Saturday night, you never got the feeling that the top ranked team in the tournament would ever lose the game. The Cardinals only managed a 34.8 shooting percentage from the field and connected on just 4-of-11 shots from beyond the arc. Only one of their opponents have shot better than 50 percent against them (Indiana), and the other four shot no better than 41 percent. That in large part is the main reason why the Wildcats have won 37 of their 39 games played on the year.

CBB Lines Selection: Kansas is playing with house money heading into this one. Though they were tabbed the Midwest Region’s #2 seed, not many believed they had the make-up to make a deep run. That said; the team never gives up and already battled KY close in the team’s earlier season meeting at Madison Square Garden; they were actually tied at the break but were worn down in the final 20 minutes to eventually lose by 10. With both teams now used to the cavernous surroundings of the Superdome, we expect both squads to rack up some points this time around. There’s some major line value in this spot with the current number 10+ points lower than when the teams met back in November. In a game that’s tough to pick a SU winner let alone ATS, we’ll back the ‘over’ instead and root for both teams to send us to the winner’s circle in the final college hoops game of the season.

Who will be the last team standing? Will it be the dogged Kansas Jayhawks or will Calipari finally earn his first title and lead Kentucky to its eighth national championship? Head over to Bookmaker Sportsbook right now to lock your CBB betting investments in for the national championship game!
