The 2012 college football bowl season is all revved up and ready to go. Here at , we”re here to help you beat the college football lines for the Nevada Wolf Pack and the Arizona Wildcats, as we take a look at their Saturday clash in the New Mexico Bowl.

Nevada Wolf Pack: 9.5

Arizona Wildcats: -9.5

Total: 75.5

If you like running the football, this is the battle on the college football betting lines that you”re going to want to see. The two starting running backs in this game, Arizona”s RB Ka”Deem Carey and Nevada”s Stefphon Jefferson have combined for over 3,400 rushing yards this year, and whichever one has the bigger game might ultimately be the nation”s leading rusher at the end of the campaign.

Jefferson runs the ball just a ton on a regular basis in the Pistol offense, and he touched the ball over 30 times per game this year. He had 22 touchdowns, and he finds a lot of open running room thanks to the fact that QB Cody Fajardo can do it all. Fajardo isn”t quite QB Colin Kaepernick, but he has thrown for 2,530 yards and 17 TDs to go with 981 rushing yards and 11 scores.

Carey is one of the men that Arizona leans on to beat the college football gambling lines, but the reason that he touches the ball so much is because this offense runs snap after snap. QB Matt Scott can put the ball in the air and run it as well, though. Scott threw for 3,238 yards and 24 TDs this year, and he rushed for another 485 yards and five TDs.

Keep a close eye on WR Austin Hill. He is the most explosive receiver playing in the first bowl game of the year, and if there is one man outside of the two running backs that can single handedly beat the college football wagering lines, it”s Hill. He caught 73 passes for 1,189 yards and nine TDs on the season. Hill had 10 catches for 259 yards against the USC Trojans, and that came on the heels of three straight two-touchdown games. Don”t be shocked, against a porous defense, if Hill figures out how to have another big time game.

Free Pick ? Nevada just hasn”t played well in bowl games while running this Pistol offense. Granted, Head Coach Rich Rodriguez doesn”t have much of a track record in big bowl games either. However, we”re going to give the edge to what we think is a significantly more talented Arizona team, which should have no problems winning this one by double-digits.

Take the Arizona Wildcats -9.5

Temple Owls (-6.5) -110
Wyoming Cowboys ( 6.5) -110
Over/Under 47.5

We have a hard time separating the Owls and the Cowboys in this one, as they are both teams that basically play the same style of football.

We know that Temple is a pure smash mouth team under first year Head Coach Steve Adazio. The Owls made for great college football betting picks this year because of their ground game, which ranked #7 in the country and #1 in the

MAC at 256.7 yards per game. They average running the ball a whopping 48.2 times per game, and they have only thrown a grand total of 184 passes.

RB Bernard Pierce was one of the top players in the MAC this year. He rumbled for 1,381 yards and 25 TDs, and he averaged a solid 5.6 yards per carry. RB Matt Brown wasn”t far behind, averaging 6.1 yards per carry while accounting for 867 yards and five TDs.

Wyoming”s offense really came along this year after failing to average even 300 yards per game a season ago. Freshman QB Brett Smith made the difference, as he accounted for 2,495 yards through the air and 666 yards on the ground, and he was the reason that this team made for great in the Mountain West and made it to a bowl game.

RB Alvester Alexander, who struggled to average anywhere near four yards per carry in most games last year, had 678 yards and six TDs this season.

The really bad news for Wyoming was that its rush defense was terrible this year, ranking #115 in the country at 231.4 yards per game, and if that keeps up in the New Mexico Bowl, they?re going to be faced with some major problems against the Owls.

Temple”s defense wasn”t all that great at times, but for the most part, it was just fantastic. The unit allowed 315.5 yards per game and 13.8 points per game, though we know that a lot of this team”s success on this side of the ball was the fact that the offense possessed the pigskin for the majority of every game.

– These bowl games tend to be crazy, and there are often some unpredictable results. The Cowboys seem like they should be overmatched on defense, but bowl games are usually higher scoring. In games in which the total number

2010 New Mexico Bowl Betting BYU Vs UTEP Odds and Predictions

College Football Lines – BYU and UTEP Kick Off Bowl Bash in New Mexico Bowl

Written by North Shore Sports, Inc.

Whether you prefer to bet on college football lines with mobile betting or on the internet, Bookmaker Sportsbook is your one stop shop for the entire 2010-11 NCAA football betting bowl season, including for this duel between the BYU Cougars and the UTEP Miners in the New Mexico Bowl.

: The bowl season kicks off at the New Mexico Bowl for the UTEP Miners when they take on the college football lines against the BYU Cougars at University Stadium in Albuquerque, NM. Kickoff on Saturday, December 18th is set for 2:00 ET in a nationally televised tussle on ESPN and

The Miners were probably one of the last teams that made their way into a bowl game this year, as they surely would have been left home had Conference USA gotten one more team eligible. Beating the college football lines was virtually impossible down the stretch this year, as the team went just 1-5 SU and 2-4 ATS in its L/6 to limp into the bowl season.

The offense has the potential to be dangerous, but things just haven”t panned out quite right this year. Trevor Vittatoe has only thrown for 2,511 yards and 19 scores in a year in which he was supposed to be one of the best signal callers in the conference, while Donald Buckram, originally slated to be one of the top backs, only had 325 yards on the ground. Instead, it was Joseph Banyard that led the way with 612 yards and eight TDs on 107 carries.

Defensively, this was a team that allowed an average of 34.3 points per game against teams headed to bowl games. Only one of those three games, a home battle against the SMU Mustangs, resulted in a win.

BYU had basically the polar opposite season to that of the Miners, and it really showed down the stretch against the college football lines. The Cougs only won one of their first five games overall but finished out the string going 5-2 SU and 6-1 ATS in their L/6 to make it to the New Mexico Bowl.

Just like UTEP though, there aren”t many wins against bowl teams to speak of. There are wins against the Washington Huskies and San Diego State Aztecs, but there are also five losses to bowl teams as well.

Jake Heaps might be ready for a coming out party in this battle against the college football lines. He threw for 2,052 yards and 11 scores in his freshman campaign, and he really did come on strong at the end of the year. He also got a lot of help from JJ Di Luigi, who rushed for 819 yards and caught 42 passes for 422 yards to lead the team in all three categories.

. If the Cougars can keep this offense going like they did at the end of the year when they posted at least 40 points each of their final three games, they”ll be able to trump the odds and come away with a double digit victory in Albuquerque.
